Great waterfront park with plenty of space for picnics, grilling, hiking, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, and views of the sunset. Dog friendly (on-leash required). Parking is $10 per car, $5 per car of you have a annual park pass. Entry into the cordoned off swimming area by the beach is an extra fee of $5 per person. Kayak rentals are $35/hour and stand up paddle board rentals are $50/hour - a bit steep. The parking lot is huge with plenty of parking spaces. However, if you want to go to the boat launch in case you brought your own kayak or paddle board, you’ll need to drive over to the small stretch of beach designated for the boat launch which only has space to park about 4 cars. The picnic area is a giant field with picnic tables and installed grills. Some of the picnic tables are grouped/tied together in certain areas and are only available with a separate permit (with an additional fee likely). The non-permit picnic tables tend to fill up quickly on the weekends so either get there early or bring your own picnic equipment like chairs and a table. You can also bring your own grill.

Wonderful park land open to the public. I rode in with my bike and there was no admission fee since I didn't have a car to park. I came on a busy holiday weekend and the beach was full to capacity while one of the lawns were packed with families barbecuing. Its a great location for a view of the Hudson River. I'd come back again on the Metro-North train to explore some more. There are bathrooms available and vending machines near them. I was surprised to see a lot of Hispanics in the neighborhood and enjoying the park. 😊

Out of the way, hidden, resplendent park beyond the Croton Harmon Train Station. This review is specifically tailored for the the Croton Point Park's onsite event lodge (with kitchen) and hall, wherein I found myself photographing a beautiful wedding. Don't get me wrong--all 508 acres are stunning, and depending on the time of year you'll find people swimming or maybe you'll spot multiple bald eagles flying overhead--but I'm hear to talk about it's event facility and its ability to host a stunning wedding. I'm a wedding photographer: it's what I do. The event space is large and right on the river and offers adjacent space for a ceremony that's angled just right to catch the sunset. It's quite a dramatic backdrop. There are cabins for guests and ample parking, and plus, it's out of the way enough so as not to be disturbed by other park-goers. What's not to love. Nature's finest.

This is a campground for active people...hiking, biking, etc. We were only here for one night, but it was quiet and we felt safe. It is interesting how they turned a landfill into a lovely park and campground👏👏👏👏

Gorgeous unobstructed view of the Hudson River and towards New Jersey. Plenty of open space for bank Fishing and Crabbing. A hand launching area for Kayaks and Canoes. Several picnic tables/areas which can be reserved for large groups or private parties. Built-in Grills which runs on wood or charcoal, unless reserved, they are on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Jungle gym/playground for young children, walking and bike trails, dog friendly, several portable potties and a full brick and mortar bathrooms for Men & Women which have several stalls and 3 sinks. Parking is $10 w/o County Park Pass, $5 with. Man made beach, which allows you to swing in the River. ONLY on Weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day, which is a separate $4 fee p/p.

A huge park beside the Hudson River. Grass lawns and trees and picnic tables and cozy gentle breeze. It’s nice to come here to kayak or picnic or simply come to relax for your weekend. There is a section of the beach where lifeguards ore on duty as they provide grill stands. A great park. 9.5/10

We have been scoping this place out for a future camping trip, so we took the opportunity to swing by while visiting Bear Mountain state park. I now cannot wait to camp here!

Amazing place to have picnic at the Hudson River with a sea view and lust forest. Parking fee is 10 dollars and boating fee 4 dollars. There are several camp sites and beach areas for doing activities. There is Croton Gorge Park only 8 mins away by car.

A beautiful relaxing park to spend a tranquil & peaceful day with family. The park is sectioned off into 3 areas: a conservative size beach with lifeguard, scenic picnic grounds, and camping quarters for RV campers with a campers visiting center There are fees incurred for each entry into the park, beach, ballfields, boats (sailboards, paddleboards, canoes and car-top carried boats permitted only), and kayak rentals but well worth it. The constant cleaning crew, park rangers, and security personnel monitoring the attendees to ensure maintenance of the park and that all are behaviorally respecting property and other people's space is a plus. No boisterous loud piercing music permitted! Witnessed someone playing loud music for all to hear and it was shut down as soon as it started! Any party over 26 must request & apply for a permit. Fishing is permitted but a license is required. Otherwise, it's a clean historical park with scenic views of the Hudson River.

Great campground with mostly full hook ups. Deducting 1 star due to beach being closed 11 out of 14 days we were there, OLD wobbly picnic tables and no dog park. Lots of room to make a dog area and lots of campers have dogs.

Super nice park! It has a number of playgrounds everywhere you go for the little ones & i love the hiking trails. This a nice place to go to to get away from the city ! only downside is that the bathrooms were all closed we went to 3 different locations & they were all locked

They charge for entering & for the swimming beach. Opens at 11am, which is not good enough. Sad that some people who visit the beach leave their litter. Water felt extremely clean. The location is beautiful.

Only came to this campground for one night while traveling. While the area is beautiful, our RV hit multiple branches on the way to our site and their 30amp service wouldn’t even run one of our 3 air conditioners, which made for a hot miserable night. Our GPS couldn’t find the park so we used the address on the reservation which brought us to a marina that was 4-5 miles away. Try Turing a 35 foot class A around! Good thing we didn’t bring our tow vehicle!

Went tent camping with a few friends in late October. Fall Foliage was ideal! Portapotties set up conveniently and campsites were spacious. Firepit was perfect and park supplied end-of-season firewood at no charge. Showers were not available.

Beautiful park with water views, a playground for kids and plenty of benches. I would recommend coming earlier as the park enforces strict dusk closure policy. Police will give parked cars a ticket if they’re still in the parking lot.

A well groomed county park. Not cheap but you do feel secure with gates. They recently added blacktop and have some more work with dirt and grass seed to get 'er done right. The shower house needs attention. Powerspray and disinfect. Close to the train station...1 hour to Manhattan. The project at the beach will be nice when complete.

Great place to relax by the shore. Only disturbance is some people blasting music while they're doing barbecue and fishing. That should be regulated as some people are just trying to have a quiet time to themselves and relax. No one needs to listen to your music blasting apart from yourself so please keep it at a volume that is not disturbing others. Overall be very careful walking cuz there are Giant loads of geese poo all around. Also be mindful of ticks as they have been reported in the area and Lyme disease is no joke.

I loved this campsite. The tent sites are apart enough to feel free. Bathrooms are clean. Beach was great.

Amazing Jem of a park! It has everything from a remote airplane runway to cricket! Of course the location also has typical summer time activities like Beach, kayak and sip board rentals, fishing, and so much more. Did I mention it has an RV PARK and both an area for tents and cabins that can be rented! If your exploring the park on foot or bike, make sure you head back towards the cabins, there are beautiful views of the Hudson and the Bay that the park makes. Enjoy!!

This park is amazing! Very well maintained. We were here after Labor Day so the beach was closed but it seems to have something for everyone. We were staying at the campground which has nice level spots good power and water service with full hookups. Perfect location for anyone wanting to take the train to the city. It's great for walking and bike riding with beautiful views of the Hudson. We come here for a couple weeks each year and always look forward to it.
