This is such an amazing statue of a Canadian solider of the great war. It is simple but so impactful, the height & amazing carvings are breath taking. If you are in the area it is worth a visit as it really is one of a kind and a simply stunning memorial to those Canadian soldier's who died during WW1.

You can feel proud as a Canadian standing at this memorial. It is beautiful and well maintained. Its bigger in real life than in pictures.

We visited the St Julien Canadian Memorial as part of a morning tour we booked at Salient Tours in Ypres. Our guide was a young lady called Kim who was really good & a total font of knowledge and real understanding of history.

One of the most impressive WW1 memorials in Flanders. Especially with the recent inaugural 100 year anniversary many additional information boards are placed. Site is in an immaculate condition.

A small memorial to the brave Canadian soldiers & servicemen who gave their lives in the Great War. The focal point is the large monument in the centre of the site, the Brooding man, I think it is. Situated on the N313, a 10 to 15-minute drive from Ypres, and a similar one from Passchendaele.

The monument like all the Canadian monuments are beautifully crafted and poignant, the site where gas was used for the first time which in turn meant a new type of war and the birth of chemical warfare.

Great monument with lots of information about the first gas attack in history.

These places need to be seen to be experienced, I can't sum up the feeling and the realisation you get when you visit in words. Just a thankyou to all those who sacrificed a lot.
