We enjoyed our dinner at GóKaNá a lot. First class service, great selection of sushi/dishes and beverages. The sushi was fresh, tasty and very filling, so I would recommend five pieces for an adult. That will leave enough room for a miso soup and a dessert as well, which also were very good. Looking forward for coming back and trying the ramen they advertise on their website.

As far as sushi restaurants in Europe are concerned, it is most certainly a rather luxurious one. However, for what it's worth, the prices are not unbearably high, and you get fill yourself up for under 1000 CZK, including drinks. As per usual in Europe, many of the menu options revolve around California rolls, often with copious amounts of mayonnaise, which are a far cry from the traditional sushi you would typically find in actual Japanese sushi restaurants. Thanks to these modifications, I believe the menu is much more suitable for Czech, and other western, customers, compared to the aforementioned traditional Japanese palette of simpler maki rolls and nigiri, which can be harder for central Europeans to stomach due to the overwhelming taste of raw seafood. Overall, I don't have anything to complain about here. The higher prices are to be expected. You can even see the chefs at work, as should be the case in every good sushi restaurant.

Best sushi and Asian style restaurant in Ostrava. If you want to spent the special ocassion with your partner you must visit Gokana. Sushi is in excellent quality plus you can have fine asian dishes.

This was a really good experience. We had a craving for sushi and this place was a great choice. The soup was delicious as was the sushi. We chose a mixed platter and everything was very fresh. The tea was also very good. The staff was really nice and they spoke English. If you wanna try I suggest you reserve a table. It's a popular place and seating is limited.

I lived in Japan for a while and I know sushi. And this was, hands down, one of the best sushis I've had in CZ.

As a big fan of sushi, I can easily say this was by far the best sushi I have tried. Amazing sushi, big portions filled with wonderfully flavored ingredients. Our waiter was great, spoke English very well. He helped us with the menu and everything we have tried was exceptional.

Excellent service and friendliness. We watch the preparation of the sushi. The cuisine is interesting and good. Maybe a little expensive, but the quality is paid for. I recommend booking.

I went there and took away the food, it was delicious, tasty and a good amount of food. I want to go back there to try their other meals. And there are a lot of vegetarian options, which I really appreciated. I recommend this restaurant!

Gokana... There don't exist words how to desceibe it. From 7/2018 - 2/2020 we visited that restaurant more than 20 times and everytime was perfect experience. We are big sushi fans, but I never saw that in some restaurant sushi is prepared only for you after placing order. Prices are little bit bigger but food is worth of every cent. Soups salads sushi... Everything is perfect. Clean. Staff is amazing. You need to place reservation before sometimes. 100/100 !!!

The best sushi in Ostrava is always Gokana, great nice servis, price great cause sushi is awesome and very tasty. And refreshing based in home made lemonade. I love Passion fruit. Nice and interesting design inside. Young people with smile working there. What else to wish? Come again. I will. Well done.
