The castle was mostly gone before a massive rebuild in modern times. It is amusing to take the tram and walk though the woods and have a once round, but this is mostly a small music venue and space to exhibit quirky wooden art these days.

I can't say it is a castle, it is kind of rich family house. Museum is poorly designed, during the summer would be nice to visit with family but honestly if I knew I would not pay for the tickets despite its just 60 Kč per adult. On the other hand there is not too much things to do in Ostrava. So you may give a visit.

Beautiful castle, cool exhibitions to see. A good option for a short visit. There is also a bicycle exhibition in the castle. Ticket prices low.

Beatiful place, and it's definitely worth a visit! Place isn't big, but it's a nice look and walk around. Nice wooden figures and a mini art showcase and a random cycling display.

English-speaking tourists, watch out. The English descriptions of different items etc. across the entire castle appear only in a few places. Not fair since you gotta pay to enter the place.

I love this place. We went to see the theater their. The Tempest. Wonderful. It's a great atmosphere with always a great program. Did I tell you I got married here ten years ago? True story!

Really lovely castle from the 13th century. The main gate is nicely restored, you can also visit the inside of the building at the castle's center. I was surprised that despite the information on the website, visiting the castle was possible in January. Ticket for an adult 60CZK, nice views from the higher parts.

Very nice silesian castle with nice view, with nice museum and with interesting legend.

I expected historical attraction with meritorical descriptions, and I got an impression, that someone wanted to turn this place into some (not neccessairly serious) art gallery.

A nice, small castle that has quite a lot to see. There's a food stand with something to bite and drink. You can go inside almost anything, there's also a tower you can "climb" and have a nice view of the castle and the park surrounding it. Entrance fees are low.

From outside it is beautiful castle. But inside is problém to see something interesting and really historical. I hope to will Ostrava municipality trying find a solution to doing more interesting for all visitors.

It is a nice place for cultural venues, among the Silesian castles, however, it is a "sad" place with limited rooms to visit. Still, once in Ostrava, why not to come for a concert or Shakespearian nights!

Weird experience, quite empty, but at least nice from the outside and easily reachable even by foot. I guess you can see this if you have some spare time while in Ostrava, but I wouldn't count it as one of the main attractions.

Nice and small castle, you can enjoy some views and take some notes about the historical events that was happening in that period.

👍 Great for kids, in hot day there is air-condition. But i am not sure why parents need to pay entry fee.
