Neo-Gothic three-nave church built 1880 - 1886. The land for the construction of the church and the rectory was donated by the Vitkovické železárny, including building materials and financial support. The total costs at that time amounted to CZK 320,000. The altar contains the remains of Saint John Sarkander. (Silesian Catholic priest) It is a beautiful landmark of Vítkovice.

A beautiful Neo-Gothic church by the architect August Kirstein. The tower was originally a water reservoir.

Nice, well-maintained. It is interesting that the water tower was used as a bell tower during construction and the Stations of the Cross painted on steel plates.

This is the church where my wife's grandparents were married. The church is beautiful inside. Not as ornate as the cathedrals in Prague or Vienna, but even more elegant.

a lot of typical mining buildings, Witokwice housing estates, a piece of history, not very interesting districts, the atmosphere is like in Silesia in Poland, it's worth a walk, there is a church, a residential district, a hotel and a town hall, everything quite close to each other, a good idea if someone wants to experience this city

It rings almost constantly, even late at night. It's a pain when you live next door. Nobody needs ringing after midnight. For God's sake do something about it!

(Translated by Google) Very interesting architecture. Many interesting places. However, it is better to visit only during the day. (Original) Velmi zajímavá architektura. Mnoho zajímavých míst. Návštěva ovšem raději jen ve dne.
