The mussels were tasteless, FROZEN mussels have more taste than these. And crushed shell in the sauce so when i went for a spoon of the sauce all i felt was the shell crunch. Service was meh, one server touched the drinking surface of my wine glass with her forearm when she put down the plate. Fries was 2/5 nothing special Wine was 5/5, good recomendation from the sommelier. 189 zloty total for 2 plates & 2 glasses of wine Will not visit again next time i am in krakow.

April 2023: 7 month ago: Food was amazing! Staff could work on their service. But it was somehow compensated by the delicious food. So tasty Be aware of the HUGE portions. I had onion soup for starter and that was almost a main dish, size wise. It was so good!

Lured in by the interesting menu and good reviews. A great tip is to ask for a table downstairs - the vaulted brick ceilings are beautiful and is a better environment for dinner. Upstairs is more cafe-like.

Super bistro in Krakow. From outside it seems very small but, entering the place reveals other floors with enough tables. Service is of a kindness rarely seen in other restaurants, passion in explaining menu food was super evident in the eloquence and gestures of the waitresses. Menu is not super big, but it has a various choice of different types of food, from meat to fish passing through vegetarian options. We took a tartare, sublimely done, with a bit of spicy that made it perfect and great combination with eggplant. Beef cheek was delicious, it had everything: crunchy of vegetables, soft of meat, tasty of sauce, softness of potatoes. Definetely well done. Dessert was great too, cheesecake with maracuja, white chocolate. Price was a bit high compared to other restaurant in city center, but definetely and totally worth.

We came after a friend's recommendation, backed by numerous internet reviews. On the second try we managed to reserve a table (better do, always busy), and the experience stood to the tails. Food and service are great, well plated, fresh, inventive, delicious, service in perfect English, nice ambiance, reasonable prices. Try the mussels.

It was our first, but definitely not the last visit in Zazie Bistro. The menu is so intriguing, I will be coming back until I try it all. This time I had mackerel for the appetizer - very unusual combination with salt caramel. For the main course I had a delicious, super soft octopus with mussels, pureé, mango sauce and a baguette. I also tried forest-fruit whisky sour, which was nice and matching well with the food. I can strongly recommend but don't forget to make a reservation. The waiting time is fine as for such a busy place. 🐙🍷🐟

Michelin recommended restaurant in krakow. The restaurant is around 20 minutes by walk from the city center. Service is OK, unfortunately forgot is a couple of times. They didn’t have any snails left (escargot) and the crème brûlée were not sugar glazed enough. The top were too soft. Taste were very good.

If you like French cuisine, you must check it out. The mussels with white wine and cream sauce are amazing, I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Great food, great service! The only thing which weren't good was that the cocktail "Better Britain" should've contained "Hendricks Gin" as it says in the menu, but they used the way cheaper "Bombay Sapphire White". Tasted good anyway, but you should serve what's described in the menu. Nevertheless, a 9,5 out of 10, would totally come again everytime.

Everything we tried was extremely delicious. But that goat cheese in Filo dough I will never forget 😍 as well as tagliatelle that came with duck breast in teriyaki sauce. Amazing wine list, professional and friendly stuff. 100% recommended!

Very good restaurant in the middle of the Jewish district. I would recommend to be seated downstairs in the cellar for an even better atmosphere. I went there twice and the quality is very consistent, based on French cuisine. They offer a very nice menu, quite fancy. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was good but we were seated just next to a big family dinner in a very small room, which destroyed the vibe. So we just wanted to finish the food and go as soon as possible, because we couldn't even focus on having a conversation and enjoying the food with all the loudness coming from the other table.

What sets Zazie Bistro apart is its unique charm and warmth, making it an ideal place for those special evenings when ambiance is as important as the food. Whether you’re planning a date night or looking to enjoy a delightful dinner, Zazie Bistro should be at the top of your list. My favorite dish at Zazie is their octopus, and the reason I keep visiting them again and again. Truly recommended! For me, this restaurant is a classic on the Krakow culinary map, a gem that stands out for its unique offerings and exceptional atmosphere.

We ate here one night on a recent trip to Krakow and we’re blown away by the food! The quality and taste was sensational and the staff and atmosphere was excellent. The dishes are all a little bit different and you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be returning here next time I’m in Krakow.

This place is a true gem and rightfully a Michelin guide restaurant. I always go back there each time I visit Krakow. Excellent quality of food at a very decent prize. Better have a reservation as it can get pretty busy in the prime hours. Although we didn't have one last time, the kind waitress managed to find a place for us in the cozy celler.

Amazing food! The combination of ingredients it’s perfect, the taste is unique. Totally recommend it if in Krakow! Definitely worth it. Super good prices as well and drinks.

Small place with amazing foods to offer, must try their pâté, mussels with coconut sauce, and beef cheek. Staff’s are polite and attentive. Thank you 😇

Absolutely loved this place. I had probably the best grilled octopus ever. Mix of tastes was wonderful: octopus, passion fruit mayo, mussels, potato and sweet/spicy mango on the toast. It gets busy quickly, so better make a reservation or come early. We've got sitting at the bar as we didn't have reservation and it was totally worth it.

Enjoyed the vibe but the food didn't match up as much as I hoped (after reading some reviews that claimed it's the best place nearby) . They offer polpo and quite a few other seafood options so I might give it a try next time I'm in Kraków. Service could've been more supportive.

We went there for business lunch. For 47 pln you can get lunch menu during working days. Starter or soup+ main course+ dessert or wine or cider. Name of restaurant is a little misleading as it is not kind of bistro but elegant restaurant which is serving French cuisine. Not everybody will find there something for himself. Check menu before chosing this place.

Sehr lecker gegessen. Das Restaurant befindet sich auf 2 Etagen, im Keller sind mehrere kleine Räume mit Tischen. Das Essen war prima. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Very nice, if a little bit too loud. Best food I have eaten in a while. Octopus is great.

Big size of portions. The food is good and definitely worth the price. Busy on weekends, need to make a reservation. A small tip -ask for the place in the cellar, it is more authentic then ground floor

Second time we went here on our trip. I had the passion fruit martini, the roasted duck with truffle pasta and a sublime glass of red wine. It was outstanding!

I really liked my fancy fishy food and appetisers. My girlfriend liked the tasty but didn't fancy the consistency of her food. I ate part of her food too and really liked it.

An absolute must visit when in Kraków. The pate is divine, best I have ever had. Beef carpacio and the soups also nice. Decent house wine both white and red. Beef borgunion a bit too intense in flavour, but duck leg, the mussels and gratins are worth a try. Home made lemonade is out of this world. I would always return to ZAZIE Bistro when in the area.

That was a once in a lifetime experience. The food was delicious and the wine selection was superb. Loved also the vibe, which is not fancy but relaxed instead. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which added so much to the whole experience we had.

You need reservation for this restaurant as it is popular. But I recomand it. Super delicious food. And the dessert is amazing.

Went on a weekday for dinner - place was fully packed!Nothing too particularly unique per say but food was delicious. Had the pork belly, recommend it! (The black things are potatoes!)

My favorite restaurant in Krakow! Amazing food : whatever you order all taste great and special. And their cheesecake- is the best cheesecake of my life ! Thank you Zazie team !

The staters were just ok. The onion soup and the goat cheese pastry weren’t special. The wine and cream sauce of mussels was tasty. However, the salad was not that fresh. The crème brûlée was a bit too sweet. You would need a cup of coffee or tea.

Great discovery! Very well mixed cocktails. French recipes really well cooked. Book in advance. They are always packed.

Great place for a reasonable price. We were full and only came for dessert. But they also took tartare for testing. Everything was delicious! I especially recommend rum baba - a very unusual presentation and taste. Unconventional. Tartar also exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, there are questions about the choice of a table, we did not book it, but there were enough empty seats. The waiter suggested a place on the aisle, by the door, where it was cold and drafty. I did not want to stay in such a place for a long time. Although the free tables were and remained empty after our departure. This principle of suggesting the worst place first, hoping for a better guest does not give the place a 5 star rating. Everything else was great, accommodating and oh so awesome though. We'll be back to try the main dishes. I hope we can raise our rating!

Little bit of France in Kraków. This bistro boast great French flair but with humble ingredients and novel flavors. Try the duck confit but with Parmesan sauce or the onion soup with juniper berries. Can highly recommend a visit

Excellent French restaurant in the Jewish neighborhood in Krakow.

A very mixed experience: The sparkling wine for starters was warm, the soup was cold, BUT the main dish was exquisite and the dessert that followed was even better. Plus a nice service.. it makes a strong three star rating.

Really nice place to eat out. As the pictures say we had starter and main and desserts. Very delicious food. Mine was the beef main with carrot and bread, very intense taste but delicious. My other half was the risotto not vegetarian- waitress let us know before that is very fat, well she did not lie. That was not the food I would eat but my other half liked it, would not order again as of the fat on it. Deserts omg both was very delicious. Starter we ate was the goat cheese it was very very good. Wine we ordered half a litre risking it was very tasty. In over all very good place I highly recommend!

I like this place and was here 2nd time. Mussels dish is huge and tasty. The first time snails were served with different souse which I liked more (it was orange). The waiters are really nice. Will definitely come back here.

The onion soup as a starter was fantastic and the cheesecake as a desert was over the top. Probably one the better cheesecakes I’ve had in this city. As the mains I went for the steak however the cut wasn’t nice and the meat was rubbery. I wouldn’t recommend trying the steak at all. Instead go with Octopus which seemed to be the star of the dinner. Overall I’d give it 3.5-4 stars.

  • 5/5 Andreea S. 1 year ago on Google
We had a great time here. The service was excellent, everyone was professional and very nice. The food tasted great. I think they still have to work on the presentation and even some food combinations - everything on the octopus dish tasted delicious, but the puree should have been served in a finer presentation + it was really weird to see octopus paired with puree and a bruschetta. Same with duck and pasta. But the taste and the service were 10/10.

Great food but slow service. Took almost 45 mins for our onion soup (already cooked) and butter with bread. The taste compensates. Loved the pear salad! Beef bourgignon not so much — chunky pieces of beef that didn’t really fall apart. And very porky taste from the sauce. Fantastic lemonade selection.
