great store! Only place nearby carrying my favorite stuffed animal line! My only grievance is that the way the register is facing, it's impossible to form a 'line' since there's only really room for one person, so that could probably lead to arguments about which way the line was going.

This is the coolest game store I've ever visited! I wish I could go more often. This place had the largest selection of games I've ever seen and the ambiance/decor was awesome.

Great place for a large variety of board games. Always a good spot to find something new to play. Their pricing is fair and the staff has always been helpful.

This is a great games store. Knowledgable staff and very cool rooms to game in. If only I lived near someplace like this. Very cool.

One of the best FLGS I've been to. It's way bigger on the inside, has rooms for gamers to rent, and their gently used games clearance is the best. Found many an OOP game on my wishlist here. Always super friendly and helpful

The best games shop. This is MY games shop in the sense that this store is my first choice for purchasing any board game in the future for anyone. Amazing cozy and clean atmosphere, friendly people, RIDICULOUSLY LARGE SELECTION that they divide into new/popular up front, beginner games (monopoly, children's versions of adult games, etc.) and 14+ in the Cthulu room. Miniatures, paints, accessories, that stuff too. (Huge variety) If you are a board AND/OR tabletop enthusiast, this is a must-see.

Compared to other game shops, we have visited and we have traveled to different game shops.... This, by far from the rest, is our new favorite . This place is clean and organized and has game rooms for rent that make you feel like you're in an actual game. We fell in love with this place the moment we walked in. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Our favorite stop heading back west from Chicago! Has board games that aren't available in my local FLGS or that you usually have to import. Plus they have a whole room dedicated to minis. A very unique and cool setup with well-themed rooms able to be rented for private gaming. Not to mention their staff being very friendly.

TWD… it’s unlikely that there is a better FLGS in the western suburbs. An incredible selection that is always updated, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Walking through the shop is a decently organized series of rooms with board games piled everywhere. There is a sense of adventure that reminds me of crate hunting for vinyl, and I love it. You can tell that they love and respect the BG community. Like most FLGS their prices will be higher than online. But for a store like this that aims to service our BG community the way they do, imo the increase is justified. Definitely check this place out! Thank you Wandering Dragon!! And congratulations on the decade celebration taking place at the end of your 11th year!

HUGE selection of games. Loved the decor of their rental room - The Outsider Inn. Noelle was fantastic! She stayed open late for us, gave fantastic suggestions, and knew exactly where to find the games we were looking for.

Drastically marked up Lorcana cards almost 100% over MSRP. I tend to never go back to places that abuse supply issues. Better ways to deal with scalpers. Had an insane selection of board games though. Great atmosphere otherwise.

We went to The Wandering Dragon Game & Puzzle Shop for the first time today. They have an incredible selection of games and the largest selection of Ravensburger Puzzles I have ever seen. They have some unique gaming rooms you can rent and some game tables in a shared space that you can also rent to play games. If you like games and puzzles, this place is for you.

I am from out of state and wanted to find a place with DnD Dice, Magic: The Gathering cards, and unique board games. A simple search on Google Maps gave me this little gem, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! I was greeted when I entered the establishment but left a distance for me to take everything in. After spending some time looking at dice, the gentleman at the counter came out to see if I needed any help finding things. I told him I like to find strange and unfamiliar board games, of which I already saw they had a collection of about 100. However, the gentleman points me to ANOTHER room FULL of board games that are USED, EXAMINED, REPACKAGED, and AVAILABLE FOR SALE! I WAS SO HAPPY! There must have been over 300 board games in that room. Anything from strategy to family to luck games. I'm sure if you spent 15 minutes here, you would find a game you like. All in all, I spent over $100 and I feel that I got every dollar out of my purchase. I know they carry other things also and have an Escape room, but that's not for me. :) To wrap it up, GO, BROWSE, BUY!

A fantastical store with huge selection. The theming is deep and well-planned. There is something special about going into a room with floor-to-ceiling games. The staff member was kind and helpful and the stock is very nicely arranged.

Awesome! This place has everything you would need to play. The theme rooms are cool. This store has atmosphere definitely coming to play a game or two here. The staff is very knowledgeable and passion for the games. Cant wait to go back!!

If you're looking for board games or an open table to play at, you can't do much better than this place. However, if you're looking for RPGs, they pretty much only have D&D so this won't do you well for other systems.

Incredible selection, beautiful game rooms, and friendly staff. Perhaps the nicest game store I've ever been in.

Excellent place. There are a lot of board games, and fun gamer things. They have the BEST selection of Warhammer paints I've ever seen.

This store is insanely awesome with a themed game room and so much more. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the prices on some things.

My opinion may be biased, since I'm heavily into D&D, but it's a nice little shop. Moving around may get a little dicey on a busy day, since it's a tad bit small, but there are other rooms that you can escape to. I also noticed that they had a space for people to run their campaign, which is always useful.

Located in the heart of downtown Plainfield, Wandering Dragon is simply the best game store for all of your board and RPG needs. Wide selection of goods to choose from, game rooms for GMs to rent for their next session, and even SNACKS for sale so you don't need to ever leave!!! Best part is the knowledgeable & friendly sales staff, especially Noelle, who helped me a first-time visitor. Highly recommended to all.

One of the best, if not the best, game shops I've ever had the honor to visit. Great selections, great employees, and a wonderful atmosphere. The only thing I wish they had was a counter to purchase TCG singles.

This place has a lot of game options. I do not play a lot of board games but do miniature paint and they carry a full selection of army painter paints. Always so quiet in there. There can not be A place that carries more board games than this.

It's a great game store with tons of games for all levels and ages. Not stocking Mayday sleeves costs a star from me but that's my only gripe and if you prefer Gamegenic sleeves feel free to add it back mentally

A fantastic game store with a ton of gaming options and other merch. The person working there was fantastic and she knew a ton about the product they are selling. It is also just a cool store to browse around. If you have any interest in card, table-top, or board games you gotta come by and some of your shopping.

Enjoyed the variety of experiences available at The Wandering Dragon. Had a large selection of board games and mini games and minis. There was a room to play and a decent selection of modern and a few Indy games. Me being me, I was hoping to find some out of print old school modules, but that wasn't happening. Place was still cool and attendant was kind and accommodating.

Absolutely incredible store!! I've been to a lot of these game shops and nothing comes to The Wandering Dragon. What an incredibly friendly atmosphere well thought out organization of the store. I walked in and was immediately impressed. I am definitely coming back! It's in such a great location too, downtown Plainfield with dozens of other local shops. It's all a great time.
