I stopped by for weekday lunch takeout, and ordered the carne asada burrito bowl and a green smoothie (substituted blueberries for the pineapple. The smoothie was a little sweeter than expected because they use apple juice). The meat was juicy and tender, and I enjoyed the refried beans/cheese. They also gave a complimentary mini carrot cake protein muffin, which I thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast the next day. I will note that is fairly no-frills seating inside and outdoors, as it is predominantly a takeout and delivery spot. They also have a 10% discount for students, health workers, NYPD & Trainers (excluding specials). Considering some of the other dining options in the West Village/Greenwich Village area, Eva’s food is fresh, high quality, generous portion size, and very reasonably priced.

Got their Triple Protein bowl for lunch to go. Was very disappointed. Everything was soggy and mushy, especially the rice. The presentation was really sad and unappealing. The protein was all so salty. Had to take a swig of water with each bite. Had to pay extra for corn and hot sauce?! So it came out to be almost $17 for a bowl of mush and chaos. The best parts? Sadly, the corn and beans. Would not recommend. If you like a lot of salt and mushy rice, then give it a go.

Great birria tacos. Great service. Well priced. Their carrot cake was average, even though apparently it's famous. But five stars for the tacos

I ordered for pickup . Rice and beans were super soggy and mushy like mash potatoes and not even flavored. The shrimp quesadilla was surprisingly bland and with almost no cheese in it. I’m super surprised this place has high reviews. This is definitely not delicious or authentic Mexican food. I’ll stick to going to Queens NY for my Colombian and Mexican food. This ain’t it…

Food was excellent. We had birria tacos and breakfast burrito. Cafeteria style - order food, they call and you grab the tray. Not a lot of atmosphere, but a photo of Ric Ocasek from when he was there, so that’s cool. Order taker was very friendly, but it is not a service place. We also got the soups, included, instead of the drink - also very good. And they give you a mini muffin wrapped in plastic, which was cute, but I did not eat it yet.

This place slaps if you're looking for a cheap, quick high-quality meal and eating alone. I got the vegetarian hummus falafel bowl, which came with a free can of soda (yes they have selzer water!) and free mini protein carrot cake muffin. The mini muffin was good enough that I got the full-sized afterwards. The meal was filling and tasty, falafel balls were really good. The atmosphere is kinda hilarious. There is spacious seating so you can really be alone if you want (I watched a documentary on my phone while I ate). Some cops ordered right before me, so you know it's good. The restaurant is advertised as health food-- I didn't quite get that vibe from the menu but my bowl was served with brown rice instead of white, so that was cool. All in all, fire experience. I will be back.

No fancy stuff, just good and tasty food. Don’t be fooled by your first impression of it, this place has great taste and once you get in the mood, it is a very nice place to enjoy a meal.

DONT EVEN ORDER! They can’t even remember to give utensils & the delivery was messy. when the customer notes said “ADD Utensils because this is a going to be reviewed” They don’t care about the customer experience & the food is mediocre, don’t have yourself or significant other eat this garbage! Food went to the garbage 🗑️

Shocked it’s taken me so long to review this place considering how much I come here. Flat out this is my favorite healthy spot in the city and maybe anywhere. The only place you can TRUST isn’t lying to you about the oil they’re using or the macros of a dish. They’ve served Manhattan for decades and there’s a reason why. Eva’s is a tremendous institution that I’m grateful for. And lord those little carrot cakes….the best
