Thiruvillamala temple is situated 1 km from private bus stand. You can either walk or hire an auto to the temple. Parking space is available. The temple stands on a small hillock and is surrounded by greenery. There are two temples, for Rama and Lakshmana. Also a small temple for Hanuman is inside the complex. The environment is quiet and serene. A must visit.

Review on 09.08.2021 Its open and no restriction for kids or adult . Not crowded area as temple is on top of hilly area and away from all crowd. Very peaceful n devotional atmosphere with very beautiful scenery . If you are lucky u may get chance to see Peacocks, I've been there 3 times, never got chance to see, but I have heard their sound often, There is natural peacock sanctury type area near thiruvilwamala, dats y peacocks sighting is expected any time Facilities near Temple Parking facility is descent, 4 to 5 vehicles can park in designated parking area. During rush you can find out some area near to temple as that area n road is for temple purpose only. Designated toilets are there in front of temple. Hotel : Only one hotel in the vicinity , OK type interior facility. Old building. Neatness is OK.. Food taste is Very good. Should try their idly. It's near to parking area only In my opinion best time to make darshanam is around 6.40 am.. Then u can attend seeveli also...

The famous temple is situated in the top of a hill. The main deities are lord Rama Lakshmana and Hanuman. The views from the top of the temple is too good. Pants are allowed inside the temple. Very old persons will find it difficult to enter into the main sreekovil premises as the steps are too high. Parking space is available. Annadhanam is available. The temple is situated about 1 km from the main bus stand

ilwadrinatha Temple in Thiruvilwamala village, Thrissur district of Kerala is dedicated to Lord Rama facing west and Lord Lakshmana, facing east in the chathurbahau prathima. The temple is on the top of a hill 100 ft above the sea level, along the side of Bharathappuzha. It is believed that the bottom of the temple is also a cave, and a golden vilwa tree exists there, and thus the place came to be known as ‘Thiruvilwamala’. It is also believed that worshipping eastern sreekovil first results in salvation, and worshipping western sreekovil first results in material pleasure. There is no ‘namaskara mandapam’ (prostration hall) in front of both sreekovils. This is the only temple in Kerala where Lord Rama has a swayambhu image. It is around 5 ft tall, and made up of a rare kind of stone, called ‘Pathalanjana Sila’. On the top of the idol, Ananta lies as an umbrella. As there is a slight presence of Lord Shiva also in this idol, a lamp is always burnt on the back, thus called ‘Pinvilakku’. Sri Devi, Bhoo Devi, Goddess Parvathi, Lord Ganapathi, Lord Muruga and Lord Hanuman are also worshiped here. I really love the sunset view on the west side of the temple.

The Vilwadrinatha Temple is a Hindu temple in Kerala's Thiruvilwamala, which is located in the city of Thrissur. The principal deities of this temple are Shri Rama, the seventh incarnation of God Vishnu, and his brother, Lakshmana. This is one of the four major Shri Rama temples in Kerala. The other three are in Thriprayar, Kadavallur, and Thiruvangad. An idol of Shri Lakshmana is installed in this temple, which is rare in all of India. The temple is located in the center of the community of Thiruvilwamala, atop a 100-foot-high hill. Bharathappuzha, the second-largest river in Kerala, flows through the temple's northern side from around 3 kilometres away, and because the temple is situated on a hilltop, the river is visible from the temple.

Pants are allowed inside for gents and the temple has various practices that's not seen elsewhere like the lizzard worshipped as Lord Krishna in a banyan tree, stone balancing at Saraswathy deity place etc

A serene place to visit. Very clam and quite. Since we went on karkidaka month a light rush was there due to nalambala darsanam. Otherwise it's very is to do darsanam. Parking was big problem due to this. Sree Rama Swami, lakshmana Swami and Hanuman Swami are worshipped in this temple along with Sree Ganapati.

A temple on hill with rocks. Unique combination of lord Shree Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman. Don't miss Swamy Ayyappan temple down the steep stairs. Ample car parking space and two small but good restaurants right in front of the temple. A must visit. Also Kuthampally that's popular for traditional Kerala dress is just 5kms from here.

It's a Hindu temple dedicated to Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Anjenya, and Ayyapa. It's located 15 km from Mangotukavu Bhagavathi temple and 83 kms from Coimbatore. The temple is on a small hillock and constructed on a rock. The entire area is surrounded by willow trees. Sri Lakshmana is unique in this temple. The temple is located atop a 100-foot hill. Bharathapuza, second longest river of Kerala is on the northern side of the temple. Best temple to visit.
