My husband recently went for a colonoscopy at this clinic and was very happy with the service. He had never been under sedation before so he was understandably quite nervous. From the moment of arrival, everyone was kind and helpful. I went in with him at the beginning to get him checked in and I agree with him that everyone was great. Smooth check in and efficient service at the front desk. He was in and out within an hour and was in really great spirits when leaving. He had Dr. Sabbagh who was very kind and explained things well. The clinic itself is clean and modern and we would definitely recommend it to anyone requiring an endoscope procedure. The prep itself for the colonoscopy was really the only inconvenience. Thank you OGI! The kindness of all your staff truly goes a long way with patients who are very nervous.

Staff was incredibly kind, pleasant and made me feel at ease. Great Doctor as well. It was quick, painless and treated so professionally. I know it can be an embarrassing procedure, however the importance of having a colonoscopy may save your life.

Today I received a letter in the mail informing me that I had an appointment for a pre-op consult with one of the doctors coming up in a month. My GP gave me a referral to this place a year or two ago for a screening as I have a slightly elevated risk and need regular screenings. After quite some time had passed with no appointment, my puzzled GP suggested I give them a call to make sure I was in the queue. I've made these routine inquiries before and it's never been an issue. When I called OGI they were quite indignant that I had the nerve to reach out and pretty much told me to get stuffed. Maybe the Drs. and Nurses are amazing, I don't know, but the "vibe" was all wrong and I just wasn't comfortable dealing with them. I booked an appointment with a private clinic the next day, my first time ever, and was screened within 72 hrs. They were responsive, courteous, and efficient. It turns out that it's a good thing I did. Don't trust your health to places like this if you don't have to.

Horrible customer service. Had an appointment had 11am. Arrive 30 mins before and then I'm told that I have 3 patients ahead of me and wait time is 3 hours! Unreal! No respect for our time! Clearly overbooking patients! I'm beyond frustrated and angry! I've been on a strict clear fluid diet since last night and now I have to wait another 3 hours from my scheduled appointment before I can est or have coffee!

I was really nervous for this exam but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. Efficient communication with the front desk and clear instructions. I only waited for about 20 minutes. I had an appointment at 10:30 and left the clinic at 12. The anesthesiologist introduced himself before the procedure and was really friendly. He explained the process and answered my questions. I was afraid I was going to feel something but in the end I was knocked out by the sedation. Didn't feel a thing. Dr Tambay was very professional and efficient. I can only recommend this clinic and it was probably one of my best experiences with healthcare in Canada up till now (being from Europe).

I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Sy at OGI. Everyone from the reception, nurses, anesthesiologist and the doctor were all patient, reassuring, very professional and worked efficiently. Being my first time with anesthesia, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. I walked in to a clean facility with a nice decor, they checked me in quickly and did an excellent job communicating the expectation and the risks to me, and before I knew it I was waking up in the recovery area with no discomfort. The worst part of the whole procedure was the prep and even then, it seems that the pico-salax that was recommended was the most pleasant option from what I read. I appreciate the work they do at OGI and I won't hesitate to go back to them for my next GI needs! I'm also not great with needles but the IV went in first try and pretty painlessly. They have a great crew over there, don't be scared to get the procedure you need done!

Pleasant staff, reception, nurses, doctors. Efficiently run clinic. Everything they do is clearly explained, making the procedure easy to have. The prep is not pleasant but well worth the trouble to have a good examination.

So thankful for the doctors that founded the Ottawa Gastrointestinal Institute. These doctors took it upon themselves to open this clinic to prevent Gastrointestinal disease as there was has been a substantial increase in our society. Ever since they opened, they have helped so many by performing early screening. It's absolutely amazing and empowering to see such an amazing group advocating for society health as our government fails to see this as a need until we turn 50+. The staff (nurses, doctor Boushey and support team) are all super fantastic. I was able to ask all the questions I needed, and they accommodated one special request. What I've learned.. never, ever be afraid to be an advocate for your health. I'm so glad I spoke up before what a mild case could have become possibly life threatening battle. Now that I am leaving my admin position at OGI that I have worked at for over 2 years - this clinic is absolutely phenomenal. The physicians are extremely knowledgeable and caring. The nurses are friendly and compassionate. The medical administrators are quick, efficient and are very knowledgeable as well. OGI works as a whole to ensure all patients are taken care of as required. I will be coming back when it comes my time for a colonoscopy - would not want my care anywhere else! Just make sure you read your preparation instructions well in advance and you will be in great hands :)

From start to finish I had a great experience at OGI. Starting with the polite receptionist to the nurses pre during and post care. Dr Heuser was fantastic with a great bedside manner . I must give a special shout out to the anesthesiologist Dr Dennis Reid. He made me feel comfortable during the procedure by explaining everything. His way with people is spectacular.

I got a colonoscopy this week by Dr. Robert Tambay. I want to raise the high quality of personnel , service, kindness and professionalism of every member at starting at the reception, by the nurses and the Anesthesiologist ( Irish doctor that I forget the name). That was way above normal service that we receive anywhere else. I was afraid before I arrived at the OGI. Now I can tell you that I strongly recommend that institute.

I had a colonoscopy here today - I was VERY nervous and anxious, but the nurses were excellent at calming my nerves and at keeping my spirits up. The anesthesiologist and doctors were also both great at explaining the procedure (which went flawlessly). I did wait an hour past my appointment time though before being brought in, but overall I'm pleased with the care they provided me!

I had a colonoscopy completed at OGI on October 10, 2023. Let me tell you; WOW what incredible staff. Due to my anxiety issues and fear of the whole exposure of myself, I cancelled many (many) previous appointments. But at age 68 and colon cancer running in the family; it was time to face all fears. Dr. Tambay and all staff that were part of my procedure were awesome. Such care and compassion and understanding of my fears. I was made to feel comfortable. I've been fortunate to be one of Dr. Boushey's patients for 18 years and would find it difficult to entrust my care to anyone else. The staff at OGI are caring and professional. I had a colonoscopy here recently and cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable staff made this an overall pleasant experience. I felt well-cared for and valued as a patient. When it's time for my next colonoscopy, I will return here without hesitation.

Great service. Totally professional, informative... And pain free. I can't recommend them enough! On top of that... It was Halloween... There was a cow, bumble bee and narwal.... How's that for putting you at ease!

Very efficient check in procedure. Smooth if you have read everything they send you in advance and if you print/complete/bring the forms. Monitor in waiting area provides info that prepares you for the procedure, explains the process, and gives you some data. The prep process in curtains with Jeff was smooth, professional, and courteous, and Dr. Sy (Gastroenerologist) and Dr. Obeck (Anesthesiologist, spelling??) had excellent 'bedside manner'. The other doc or nurse who got me to the procedure room was also excellent. Very comfortable throughout. If you are required to have this procedure done, follow the instructions carefully, and plan a nice meal to treat yourself afterwards. Thanks to the staff of OGI!

The communications were top-notch from the very start to finish, the details were super clear, the staff was all friendly, the anesthesiologist was excellent and had a great sense of humor, as was the nurse and the doctor, I was super impressed!

I had my colonoscopy and EGD done yesterday and it was fantastic. The nurses are kind and patient with me. I went in nervous but they made me feel calm. I went in and the medication put me to sleep and I felt nothing. The doctors are amazing and professionals. I woke up and I was in the recovery room and did not even know they started. I farted away which made the nurses happy then spent the day relaxing. If you need a colonoscopy or EGD or both done then come here. This is the place for one and you will not regret it.

For a procedure no one wants to attended, the nurse doctor’s receptionists were all very pleasant. Music in all common areas including the procedure room definitely set the vibe and help keep anxiety at bay! Very grateful for these professionals.

I came today for my first colonoscopy, everything was very well communicated since the beginning of the appointment. I received several days before all the instructions to be prepared for it. Today at the location everything was fine, except I had to wait for an hour to proceed to the preparation area. The place is very clean, nice and with the latest technology. The personnel is very professional and human. See you in 5 years.
