If you're looking for plants skip the rest of the place and come straight here you won't be disappointed!. I came in not knowing what exact plants I wanted to use for my bioactive vivarium but what I did know was what plants I could use and could not use and to my surprise so did the staff member that helped me!. She asked me if I had an exact color theme I was going for and how exactly I wanted my Vivarium to look I felt kind of silly when I said full but to my surprise she started naming off a whole pile of plants that would work in my vivarium and what would look really good so I took her advice and picked these up. I wish I knew her name but she deserves an award for being the most friendly and honest employee, the customer service I received today will have me coming back without a question even though it is about a 45 min drive for me, we need more stores around here with this level of dedication and customer service.

This is definitely not a florist, so much more than that! There are so many types of plants for different purposes, even pet friendly ones! The owner, Judie, is a true plant lady with her extensive knowledge about plants. She asks specific questions about where her customers plan to place the plants and gives tips about lighting or how to better take care of the particular plant(s). The House of Plants is definitely a go to place for any plant-related need, highly recommended.

Made my first order with House of Plants this weekend. Judie delivered my 3 plants and soil this morning and I'm so thrilled with my purchases! And totally enchanted with Judie! It was so lovely that she took the time to chat with me, in the driveway. The plants are beautiful and have new leaves on them. Can't wait to see them grow up. Really happy and I highly recommend. The site is easy to navigate and purchasing online was easy too. Edit: one month later Bought another few plants. 😁 A couple of cute little ferns and a string of turtles and string of hearts. Also a beautiful blue plant hanger. And my Black Velvet plant that I purchased last month, has a huge new leaf!

Beautiful little shop with friendly and helpful staff. From plants to pots and fertilizer, my healthiest plants are from this shop! My office is an oasis with gorgeous luscious plants. I also want to note that many plants from other Ottawa shops had pests that actually infected some of my plants or came in poor condition and I’d have to nurse them back to health…but I’ve never dealt with that purchasing plants from here. Returning customer soon for my ZZ Raven :)

Our go-to place for house plants and great service! Judie's super knowledgeable and helped us find a lovely gift for my mom's birthday - mom absolutely loved the string of turtles, pearls and ruby necklace plants we scooped up here! The pothos she recommended (pictured) was the perfect fit for a couple of serial plant killers like us - can't believe that I'm saying this but it's actually thriving under our care after a month. Thanks Judie!

I should have done this a while ago! (Since I've ordered a few times already) :D I have to say House of Plants (and Judie) is amazing! <3 I tend to be really wary of ordering anything online due to some really poor experiences - particularly with ordering live plants ... it seems you never really know what you're going to get - or if it'll be healthy / dead / or full of pests! ... I have some horror stories :( Unfortunately for me though, I live in a small town in Northern BC, and while there are a couple really great locals that have plants, selection tends to be limited (and my "wish list" is long! lol) Also, unfortunately for me, not many people / companies will ship to where I live, due to not being able to guarantee quality or something (even a place in the same province won't send up here!) Aaaaanyway - I came across 'House of Plants' one day and thought I'd give them a try, so I contacted them and asked if they'd ship here - they're 2/3 across the country from me! So I wasn't really expecting much - but they said they did! So ... I was SO IMPRESSED when my first order came - Everything was packed so well, each and every plant was individually wrapped with such care - also the plants were all in excellent condition - you wouldn't believe they had spent a week in transit! They were so fresh, healthy, and vibrant <3 Everything I have ordered since has been just as amazing and every plant I've gotten from House of Plants is still doing so well. Also, Judie's customer service is just awesome. She has replied to every email, answers questions, and is so friendly and personable. She even included some gifts for me that she knew was on my wish list! <3 I have no hesitation recommending House of Plants to anyone, whether you are lucky enough to live close by and visit their physical store - or even ordering from across the country! House of Plants is definitely a hidden gem! They have such a wide variety of plants/pots to choose from (all sizes, all types, pet friendly, etc.). The owner has extensive knowledge on plants and the care that is required and the prices are very reasonable. Can also order online and have your items delivered which is super convenient. Would highly recommend! :)

Genuinely have the best experience every time I have purchased plants from House of Plants! The owner takes so much pride and care with her product, ensuring to inspect each and every plant when they are received in shipments. I have had only great high quality plants from House of Plants. One of my favourite plant shops in all of Ottawa! The owner Judie and the employees at the shop are extremely kind and welcoming when you walk into the shop, are generous with providing advise for any plant care questions you have and ensuring you leave happy!

I cannot say enough great things about this store. Not only is the store filled with beautiful, reasonably priced plants (and such a huge assortment) but the customer service is outstanding. Best small-plant-business in Ottawa! Great selection of beautiful with new shipments every week. Very reasonably priced (and gorgeous) planters - the owner Judie is fantastic and very passionate about plants and making styling them with decorative pots affordable. Very knowledgeable and they even hold workshops to help spread plant knowledge. Highly recommend checking out House of Plants!

Had this shop go above and beyond on my birthday and it made me so happy. Added a new plant to the family, it was a purchase full of little hiccups (entirely coincidence and outside factors) and the shop had a solution for everything to make sure I got the plant I wanted for my 30th and That really, really made my day. Plus the plant is GORGEOUS and well established and vibrant, and in my check over for any unwanted pests didn’t spot a thing, and I am thorough!! I’ll likely never buy plants anywhere else now. Just a big smile on my face all day because of their effort they absolutely did not need to go to!

House of Plants is the BEST plant shop I’ve ever been to! The owner is lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. She always picks out beautiful plants that I love, and knows which pots are perfect for it! There’s a great selection of different types of plants—something for everyone! I can’t recommend this shop enough! It’s my favourite place to go (for myself and for gifts—you’ll find the perfect plant to suit the recipient) and I always leave beyond satisfied, happy, and in admiration of my new plant! <3

A friend of mine recommended HoP many months ago when I was looking for a few plants and I am so glad she did! This place is truly a hidden gem. The owner is so kind, honest and knowledgeable - always willing to provide insight as to how to care for your newly purchased plants so that they can thrive. This is definitely my go-to for all my plants and medium!

House of Plants was such a great experience. I haven't been to many plant stores, but their staff are by far the most inviting, friendly and knowledgeable that I have encountered. They could definitely tell we were new plant parents and made sure to set us up for success for our new plants. They were patient and informed us the needs of the plants such as, feeling how the soil should feel before watering, recommending the proper soil, when we should repot, and they also gave us a free nursery pot for repotting. They really went out of their way to make us feel prepared. I highly recommend any new plant parents to come visit House of Plants. I will definitely be coming back :)
