Excellent experience staying @Byward Suites the past 7 seven nights. ✅Location Central Downtown Ottawa & across from Byward Market & near a massive high end shopping mall. ✅Extremely Friendly / Accommodating Owner [Airbnb] Matt who I got to meet a couple times. ✅Clean well appointed "loft style" suite with all eating utensils, cookware, stove, microwave, full fridge. TV 📺 with various apps to gain access to Netflix, Tubi, YouTube, etc. ✅Heater / thermostat worked quickly and efficiently. ✅Accommodated my service dog 🐕‍🦺 without issue or problem. Would definitely recommend & will happily stay again on my next trip to Ottawa.

Rude and obnoxious “reception”. When someone calls it’s because they’ve already been to the website and need further help lol… duh. What’s the point of even calling yourself reception if you’re not near a computer and able / willing to help potential guests with a booking? It’s giving very much lazy and unprofessional to be honest. Review written August 17th 2023 at 3:15pm.

Overall, great place to stay and I would recommend it. Pros: -Amazing location, great to explore downtown Ottawa -Good eateries around -Decently priced -The place is clean, has a kitchen including a fridge, stove, utensils, coffee etc. -Seamless check-in and check-out process -Owner is responsive in case you face any issues. For example, there was a strange smell coming from duvet and it was quickly replaced. Cons: I found the bed a little uncomfortable, but i guess you get what you pay for!

DO NOT book with this location unless you are ABSOLUTELY certain you will be staying there. I attempted to cancel a booking literally MINUTES after making it due to plans falling through. Upon contacting the vendor I was directed to make my request for cancellation and refund with Expedia. The vendor then DENIED my request for a refund despite the fact that I cancelled IMMEDIATELY after making my booking, pocketing the full amount for no services rendered. SAD.

Everything was perfect my room was a good size everyone I talked with was very friendly and accomadating the other guests were all very nice and helpful. If you have a car just watch the signs carefully they can be very confusing as to where to park for free.

Code on the appartement door doesn’t work. No one to answer phone call at 1am. Get called back 45 afterwards to finally get in. Room and hallways are not clean and renovation are all halfway done/ very badly done. Go elsewhere.

The room is in excellent condition. There is coffee, tea, snacks, fridge, and stove. Also the TV has chromecast which makes it super convenient to watch something from your phone onto the TV. The service is amazing! They respond within minutes and have been so helpful answering questions! The contactless registration and checkin is simple and fast. It offers more for less. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay! Service is fantastic too!

Clean and spacious apartment, but the area is quite noisy at dark with loud traffic and people yelling nearby, so despite the comfortable bed it is hard to sleep at night. Not sure as to how safe is to be around this area late in the evening, so make sure you have everything you need and avoid going out. Overall ok as a last minute option but certainly not a place I would bring the family when in town

Clean renovated rooms, easy access with texted door codes that change per guest for saftey. Big plus was a fire stick that was plugged into the TV with Netflix, Amazon and Disney logged into a universal account. I found it better than a hotel for a solid $100 less while being within 5 minutes of every bar in byward.

This is more like an Airbnb. Google should not show it as hotel, or at least show it somewhere. It was the worst experience, I have leave after stay in half hour to anther hotel and redo shower there. My room had quite a lot of noise from the street and upstairs. Slow WiFi. As other reviewer said broken floor. Bed mattress and beddings, made me itchy after sitting there for 10min. Shower is also really bad. Someone leaves finished empty food box at my door. I am really concerned. There is no one answering phones or email. I have leave to anther hotel and redo the shower.

Loved my stay at the byward suites! It was comfortable, clean and the host is very polite. Close to all the best attractions the city has to offer as well as great restaurants/night life! I felt very safe and will definitely return.

Location was amazing! Parking wasn't as hard to find as I thought it would be! Owner was super nice and helping me with wifi and check in bc my network doesn't work in Canada! Super appreciative! The welcome basket with goodies was a cute touch! Def would Book again

I loved my stay here.They were very helpful when I messed up my reservation dates. It’s in a very convenient location, it was clean and cozy when I got there. All my questions were answered promptly via text.

The place is at the downtown. Close to rideau light rail station. The suite is extremely very equipped. The host is responsive and helpful. Overall very pleasant stay.

Clean well equipped studio style apartments. Clean top to bottom and comfortable.

Beware of this “hotel”. I will never ever book it again - they took my money the moment I booked it however, they never ever answered my calls and I was left stranded. What scared me most was that they demanded my photo(!), driver’s licence or passport, and credit card info ONLINE!

We booked but were left stranded as its contactless (no service), no front desk. Have not been able to get a hold of a human and chat is absolutely useless. I want my refund

I would not recommend to stay there for the following reasons: The floor of my room was broken, the wall is heavily scratched at the bed side and a cable looks out of the wall near the entrance. Missing Internet: no indication how to get e-mail, non-responsive communication on this. Smoke smell: The room consistently had a smell, which I would attribute to someone smoking in the room previously (it being a non-smoking room though). Trash in room: In several places, the room contained trash from previous visitors.

Great place to stay conveniently located in downtown Ottawa. Every room has a kitchen with most of the things you need like fridge, microwave, stove, etc. They even have utensils that you can use, and TVs with ChromeCast or FireStick.
