Worst experience ever in Ottawa! I cannot believe that the waitresses can forget their customers, and they don’t tell the customers that their menu is online. We are waiting for their menu over twenty minutes and no one came over for asking and giving us the water! When I walked up to the waitress, her attitude cannot be understood by me. She never apologized and said that they were busy. That is it!!! We had waited for a long time, and there was no menu! She didn’t care. I knew that we are small part of their customers, but they should not provide this attitude to us.

Excellent service! I absolutely recommend this place. Its cozy, the food is great and staff is very welcoming. Special mention to the blonde server named Katia that me and my boyfriend had the chance to meet! Thanks a lot for the amazing experience!

Really good happy hour deals and our server was so nice! Couldn’t have asked for a better server because she did such an exceptional job taking our orders and was super friendly (also happy bday to her 17yr old dog!). I had the peanut Thai wings (a little too peanut buttery but still pretty good). It was great to sit on the patio, enjoy the good weather and have some wine. I’ve had their chicken wrap before too and it was really good. Highly recommend :)

Best Nachos ever!! New on the menu....lots of jalapeno...mmmm...did I mention the the chicken with bbq sauce and a lime drizzle? Mmm. Let's just say it's a good thing there isnt a Clocktower Brew Pub near my home town because these would be hard to resist. I will be coming back for more one day!

The staff was super accommodating to me, my friend and my dog. Glad they have a dog-friendly patio. All the staff who passed the table stopped to say hello. Food and drinks were good, as well. Will be visiting again.

Apologies in advance for the rant, but I feel that nothing from my experience should be left out. When we arrived we were told to seat ourselves and then weren’t given menus for the first 5 minutes. There was 1 waiter, and he seemed to want to be anywhere else. We waited for our food for 45 minutes after finishing our starter wings, which we had ordered at the same time. It was a wrap and a burger. We heard the chef ring his bell while the waiter, Domenic, was with someone beside our table - this couple had already paid and were about to leave, and he was chatting about their personal lives for the duration of 2 songs while our food sat on the chef’s counter. The food was not great, but they made the caesar salad the way I like it (extra sauce). The menu advertised that both of our meals were “served with your choice of soup, salad, fries, or pub chips”, but when our bill arrived, they had charged us an additional $5 for the salad and fries that we ordered. The canned cider was $9, the meals were each $20 (and served cold), $20 for 6 chicken wings, and they charged us $81 in total for this. So, I’m disappointed to say the least. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt and say that the service wasn’t great because there was only 1 server on staff. The food can be forgiven, it was edible. But, the prices are outrageous considering the portions/quality. Honestly, I would have paid $50 for the lot if it were up to me. I won’t be back to this place, and I’ve learned to walk the extra 10 minutes to stick to our usual visits to St. Louis.

Pub is centrally located right south of 417 highway on Bank street. It has its own parking lot and abundance of side street parkings. It may not seem large from the outside but inside is quite large , considering it has a basement for special events or occasions. Drinks and food are on the pricey side for sure. A share potatoe fries dish is $10……. While it may not be the best place for cheap Food, it does offer quite a good selection of drinks and floor space for many uses.

Super friendly staff, dogs welcome on the patio (they bring them water and bacon). Great food as well! Will definitely come back again!

We came here for a celebration of life. We had the basement to ourselves which was nice. The downfall was We couldn't run a tab and had to pay as we go. The bonus was thats where the bathrooms are. The food was good. I had the cauliflower bites which were good. Most meals are around 20$.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Dana and Julia. The Clocktower has become our go-to place after playing hockey. Our team of middle-aged fatsos is much more social than talented and our whole group congregates following every game to recoup with "protein and electrolytes". Serving a big group of obnoxious and sweaty old guys might present a challenge for lesser servers but Julia and Dana always make us feel welcome and put up with all the chaos and confusion. The beer is cold, the wings are hot and the service is awesome! Thanks so much for your kindness and professionalism we will keep coming back!

Great place to grab a pint artisan beer. Food is generally good. The general atmosphere is good, not a noisy bar so great for group gatherings and one on one conversations.

Awesome food! The fries were particularly good and the wings are perfect. My server Brietta was amazing and friendly, quick and responsive and very funny. Enjoy eating here quit a lot.

Best wings in town! They also brew beer, which they have on tap and selling cans to take home. Tuesday is wings night, when wings are at half price and there's also a discount on their own drafts.

Wings were great, service not so much. Not sure we'll go back.

Been going there for 13 years! The service is great, the food is very good especially the wings. Many good options on the menu and great selection of beers.

Enjoyed a beer and a bite. We enjoyed the craft beer. My husband like his calamari and I loved the Thai chili cauliflower tacos. (In general, I'm a meat eater, but I loved these and will order them again). Staff were super friendly. We have just moved in the neighborhood so plan on many more visits.

More like 3.5 stars. The service was friendly, professional and quick. The problem was I ordered the coconut shrimp and it was good and it came with rice and I enjoyed that. For the price I paid I would have expected more than just three shrimp they were large enough just not enough of them. A convenient location right off the Queensway for anybody visiting you from either end of the city.

Just in for a pint and a snack. Very different but pleasing nachos. Their IPA (#7 I think) was mild and their Stout was smooth...nothing extravagant taste wise, but I only tried those 2. Service was laid back but in a positive way...and A pint of ice water these days of 30°+ is very welcome when you first sit down.

I like this restaurant for it’s friendly service and the rotating beer selection. However their food is a downside in my experience. Fish and fries is greasy and flavourless, the other one is filled with vege as a steak dish. Both not worth it’s price. However I do plan to try again after because it is a famous chain restaurant

Difficult to guage, given Covid and Dining restrictions. Service was fine. Food was fine. A bit on the pricey side, for one entree and beverage, especially house brand. Would be willing to revisit, in a few months.

Walked in for the drinks with a friend. Tried the pumpkin beer snd the stout. Loved the coffee chocolate flavours in tje stout. The pumpkin was smooth, but I'll skip out on the spice next time. The bar tender was great and friendly. Totally worth the trip.

Your dads wet dream. Whoever is in charge of the music clearly peaked in the 80s and im here for it! Amazing wait staff, food is awesome and the bartender knows how to pour a drink that made me happy to be alive. 10/10 recommend, not a millennial in sight!!!

12$ fish tacos during happy hour is one of the great things to grab here. Pairs perfectly with their beers and 6 tvs for catching a hockey game. Great atmosphere, great bartender, great experience. Seriously, get the fish tacos and you won't be disappointed.

The wings was a miss for me even though I checked the reviews. I wanted something spicy but the buffalo sauce was very sour. I was happy with the Fish and Chips which was a good portion for 2. The fries were crunchy and the fish was light and fluffy. The staff was lovely but she was hard to find and the bill was incorrect which I luckily notices or else I would be charged extra. Overall, it was amazing to be seated on the Patio and enjoy our time.

You’ll love this gem on Bank! Sean (our server) and the entire staff took great care of us! We were celebrating 23 years of our first date and everyone went above and beyond to make it a very special night! From the delicious food and drinks and dessert as well as the ambiance it was great night out! Looking forward to our next visit! Sharon and Sean Bradley

The beer is excellent. The fries were good - crispy on the outside and done right. The burger was good-OK. However the jokey waiter was off-putting. Everything was joke or an attempt at clever repartee. Too much personal information bordering on unprofessional. The service in terms of speed and quality was good, but could have done without the "entertainment" at the table. The waiter's smelled like he was drinking beer which made us wonder if his "jollyness" was as a result of imbibition. It was uncomfortable and hence the 3 stars.

Clocktower offers an amazing patio experience along Ottawa's bustling Bank Street. Clocktower offers a range of great unique draft selection at an affordable price for craft beer. The food here has always been excellent during each of my visits and I would strongly recommend the Poutine.

  • 3/5 Voltaire L. 10 months ago on Google
The service was very long. Like 30 mins for 2 fish and chips. Serving is small for the price. Server is nice tho. :/

A great “neighborhood” pub offering a great choice of excellent in house brewed beer… with a choice for all palates. The Fish’n Chips are excellent. The Club Sandwich is a nice twist and delicious as well! Our server Dana took great care of us and ensure everyone was well taken care of. There’s a good amount of parking a huge patio in the warmer months. Come meet locals at the bar or bring your friends for a great drink or nice meal served hot and plentiful.

Beer is ok, thus 2 star instead of one. Our server ended her shift at 8pm, half way through, and no one came to see us until I went to the bartender to order more drinks and food at 9pm. The bartender looked extremely annoyed and unfriendly that I approached. Food came 45 min later, which was just wings, and not even worth 1/2 price. Won't see me again at this place.

We ad a waitress that was her first day. Maybe she was nervous and did not smile or interact a lot. The fish and chips were more breading than fish and greasing than it should have been. It made me and my daughter feel noxious after. Maybe it was just a bad day. Maybe I will try it again. We will see.

Awesome staff, nice combination of wing sauces, foods usually quick, with relatively no mistakes. Menu can feel small but also depends on what you’re looking for. Ample parking with free city parking after 5. Location can be busy afternoon/evenings especially wing nights but manageable. Good sized elevated patio right outside in the warm months. No issues with cleanlinesses.

My partner ordered dry rub mango habanero wings, which was not the move. They were tiny, super dry, and barely any meat on them. As well there was one less wing then the other people that ordered wings at the table. Super disappointed in the dry wings. I had the wellness bowl which I enjoyed. We sat on the patio side next to bank street. It was super noisey from cars driving by. I would suggest if you wanted to sit outside to try the side lot patio, but I'm not sure that it would help with car noise either.

Great place. Food is a bit pricy sometimes but good quality, and the beers are great. Do yourself a favour and come on Tuesdays for wing night as they are excellent. Great patio and nice indoor space. Staff are always friendly and accomodating.

A nice simple family meal. The menu is standard but doesn't have a whole lot of selection for those who are veg. They have lots of patio space and a big indoor area with a sports bar. Service was very slow one of the times I visited.

I used to regularly go here and am a fan of the bar. But was also there yesterday (September 1) and was disappointed that the staff wasn't taking contact information from patrons. They certainly didn't from us and we were there for hours. And those that came and went while we were there also didn't seem to have their information taken. Mistakes happen but this was a disappointing.

Guys. GUYS! I don’t know how you managed it, but I just got a couple pounds of wings and some fries delivered, and the fries...they were SO CRISPY! I have no idea what kind of witchcraft you’re working, or if it was just luck, but this is the kind of delivery excellence I’m looking for. Not much to get excited about these days, but crispy delivery fries? Hell yeah.

I had my wedding reception here and it was great I loved the room and the staff and the bar. They let us get in the night before to set up and decorate which took a lot of stress off the day of. The only issue I had was that my flying pig wrap had no sauce so it was kind dry but otherwise no complaints. My family has gone there for years for birthdays and it was nice to celebrate such a big milestone

My wife and I dined inside on a Sunday evening. We were served by a new and very pleasant waitress and we both ordered the Kolsch-bsttered haddock and chips and the recommended beer pairing...Kolsch. Surprise! Neither of us cared much for the beer and we're pretty sure the fries came from a bag in the freezer. They were okay, but my wife's were cold. We told the waitress and she apologized, letting us know more would be brought out soon. They were... For both of us. The replacements were nice and hot. The fish was very good. When the bill came we were surprised to see that they had discounted the meal by 15%. We feel that the service was above and beyond, hence the five stars.

Love having the CT craft beer vs other big name beers, but the beer doesn't stack up against other Ottawa craft beers. Food here is mediocre. I tried the candied bacon burger and the chicken wrap. Both were ok, but nothing to write home about.
