Welcoming staff. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas. We were very amazed by their food and how delicious it was. Freshly cooked and prepared. We had fish tacos and Irish spice bag and few drinks. Everything was of above and beyond our expectations. Annie M was just an amazing person and very warm. It was a very nice experience.

My friend and I went for a dinner today. I had an amazing mango/shrimp salad. Whoever did it! Thank you! It was fresh and delicious.

Great place. Been here a lot since I landed in the area last month. First rate staff ! Very friendly...very engaging.. professional The menu is streamlined as they come out of Pandemia and looking forward to the next New Seasonal menu which will be more extensive I'm sure. The food portions are massive! Fish n Chips are great and if you can eat both? You are a Monger ! Lol Definitely 5 Star and that is no joke. If you are in the area this is a MUST TRY.

Delightful first time experience. Excellent service, friendly staff, amazing food & good vibes. I absolutely loved their brisket melt, it was soooooooo good, the flavors were perfect. The burger was delicious too but I would go back for that brisket melt with no hesitation.

Racist pub!! Worst experience and staff there who is highly racist against indians and brown people. We were a group of 12 people who gave them an order of almost $1000 yet they had issues with us and were constantly keeping an eye on us and telling us to stop dancing on the dance floor. There were other people too on the floor who were dancing but the bouncer decided to just point and stop us. The bouncer girl there is super rude and does racism alot. She had a problem with us for no reason even though we were respectful enjoying amongst ourselves and didnt cause any trouble or issue to other customers she was constantly telling us to not have fun. The music is slow and boring for the most part. The drinks are fine nothing great. The food was good but our overall experience was ruined by the bouncer girl and the staff constantly bothering us and telling is to not do things and dance and have fun. I would never go back here and recommend this place to any of my friends and groups.

They have some great beers, try the in house beers which are tasty and light on palette. Great wings and nachos too.

We waited outside, it didn’t take too long to get inside. We did our contact tracing and went inside right to the heated patio. We sat close to the door where it’s colder in the corner. We ordered the same meal; a triple decker sandwich with sweet potato fries. When the bill came, I was surprised to see that my sweet potato fries sauce was extra. The server didn’t even mention to us it was extra. She should of told us before we ordered. Next time, at least mention stuff that’s extra. Kind of cold on the patio but ok. The food was excellent!

We went to the Barrhaven location for late night food. Ordered Chipotle chicken wrap with fries. The food portion was very small. Saturday night live music was terrible and we were irritated with the choice of songs. I prefer the Heart & Crown Preston location.

Our band goes every Tuesday first happy hour. $5 pints. They just raised the price\changed the menu.. Still a deal. Wait staff is great!

Really liked this spot! We stopped in to kill a couple hours and weren't disappointed. The service was great, the vibe was right, and the seating was hella comfortable. We got to see the band Garden Variety play and it was a nice touch for the place! Would definitely return if we're in the area or find our way near the other locations.

Great service. Nice selection of Scotch. Big thanks to Cody McCallan (AGM) I forgot my my wallet behind the other night, they emailed me (presumably from one of my business cards) and said they were keeping it safe in the managers office for me. I was able to retrieve it before opening. They were all very courteous and friendly throughout. Edit: I should like to add, Hollie also took the time to come to the door and deliver it to me before the store had even opened. She was very polite and refused my insistence on a finders fee. I hope you guys pool tips when I visit next ;)

Nice place. The patio used to be more open, but now it is a screened in porch, which is nice but very loud. Hard to talk. Food is pretty good, service good, inside atmosphere nice, variety of drinks (though I don't consider Bud & Coors domestic, or beer).

Food here is normally good for pub fare. But tonight my order was less the edible. The fries in the Irish spicy bag were way way WAY too spicy hot to eat. I normally love spicy food, but these were so over the top that I had to throw them out. I also had ordered the had the hot wings, they were really mild in comparison. I won’t be ordering that ever again. I’m really disappointed, as I liked this pub.

Wow, what a beautiful Irish pub. I only had chips and fries, which were both excellent, so I really could give a fair rating for the food. The Guinness was the excellent and a full pour. Man I would kill to have this place in my own neighborhood.

I had the pleasure of being helped out by Cody. Super stellar lad. Very attentive and pays great attention to details when I advised him with dietary restrictions. I had the opportunity to go eat at the Heart & Crown with a friend for the first time. It’s a lovely restaurant and the staff is very nice and friendly. We were hungry so for starters we ordered a plate of wings and a pitcher of beer. The wings were $18. When the wings were served to us, there were 7 quite small wings on a large plate. For that price I was expecting to have somewhat of a snack however it was barely a snack for one person. Understanding that we are still in a pandemic and restaurants are finally reopening for business, I expected the prices to be a bit higher however $18 for a plate of 7 small wings is a kind of ridiculous. It should have at least had filler of some kind with it. We were expecting to spend the afternoon there to watch the Olympics and eat a lot more but the small portions were deceiving. We ended up finishing our beer and plate of small wings and headed up the street to Kelseys. At Kelsey’s we ordered another pitcher of beer and some wings. Their wings were $22 but for 12 of them. When they were served they were in a large pizza sort of plate and the wings were quite large with carrot sticks and celery. Now that made much more sense. Hopefully the owner of this restaurant will review his pricing or the menu and give their customers a bit more for their money. I understand restaurants suffered during this pandemic however so did the customers. There surely must be a more happy medium in there somewhere.

They have both an outdoor patio and covered outdoor patio for inclement weather. Had the comforting baked onion soup & red wine sangria which both hit the spot. You will be asked to provide your contact details per COVID-19 tracing, but they have a QR code app which makes it quick and easy.

The Heart and Crown holds a special place for me. When they re-opened I was very excited, and this establishment has done an absolutely wonderful job. The staff were great, friendly and accommodating. We were only a group of 5 but everyone had a great time! The floor manager at the time was superb and so friendly, along with everyone else. This still is and will always remain one of my favorite companies.

The food is good average pub fare, however, the service is wonderful. The staff is informative and cheery.

I've been to this location several times. Last Saturday I went for supper. It wasn't too busy however the patio was full. The hostess allowed me to choose a table and the server was very nice. I noticed they changed their menu since my last visit. I ordered the Mango Thai shrimp salad. There were only 3 shrimp but they were delicious. The dressing was a bit salty.

I had booked this place for a large group for a farewell lunch a few weeks ago. I had booked more than 2 weeks ahead and even called a few days before the booking to confirm the reservation. Unfortunately, it appears the chef was not ready to handle a group of 15. The food took close to 50 minutes to arrive and food was simply awful- ordered the fish and chips and the fish was completely overcooked ( I didn’t even get a lemon wedge when everyone else did?) . I could barely cut it with my knife. Almost every other dish served such as the salads were also below average. We all wanted to take the food back. I used to think this place was consistent with great food but unfortunately it has gone downhill. Was very disappointed- I normally don’t leave negative reviews but this last experience left me with no choice.

$5 menu items are tastey! Service is quick and staff are extremely friendly. Great for a group event as well!

I only gave four stars because even though this is a place where you can go and enjoy good food and good atmosphere there's a saying that if you go there with friends you must talk before the band starts playing.. it is too loud to have a normal conversation . Yes it is a minor thing but it is repetitive.. however the music is great. It's just too loud .

We drove from Renfrew to attend Disco Inferno night to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday and to knock “a disco” off of her bucket list! Being our first time, we had no idea what to expect and MAN, they did not disappoint! First off, hats off to Cody. He went above and beyond over phone conversations to iron out ticket and reservation issues with me (my fault completely) I am forever grateful to you. That event meant so much to our daughter. Our server for the evening was Julia. As a server myself of 25 years, I have to say that she is now on my top 10 of best ever. We wanted for nothing! Thank you Julia. You made our night seamless! You are the bomb! Ok, now for the food! I have no words! I was not expecting that quality to come out of a pub kitchen. I have worked in high end establishments in Toronto and I am blown away with what was served. My husband and son-in-law said the Jamieson burger was absolutely delish! Two of us had the Haddock and not only was the portion beautiful but it was delicious! The bacon jam that is served with the perogies belongs in Ramsey’s kitchen! Delish! The highlight of the night was the Seafood Linguine that the birthday girl had. She is an east coast girl and knows her seafood! She says it was the best that she ever had… that says something! From security to the entertainment, service to the food, everything was beyond 5 Star in our eyes. We travel to Ottawa quite a bit and Heart and Crown Barrhaven will be our ONLY stop from here on in for food when we do go! Even if we have to drive across the city! Thank you again for such a great experience!

This place is amazing! We came without reservations after a funeral for a party of 6, then 8 then 10 (we didn’t know how many were coming when we initially walked in) The Hostess was super accommodating and moved us around as needed. Josh was our server, and he was absolutely fantastic. Super friendly, making jokes, quick service for drinks and food. Thank you all!!

It's a bit pricey, but no more than other local franchise pubs. A good Farhaven spot. It's hard to beat the $5 happy hour specials. Our Server was very good!

I must admit that it's been well over 2 years since the last time I went there. The menu has changed and the club sandwich was probably the best I've ever had. Would order it again for sure. That being said, it was at noon on a Tuesday and for half the time I was there with 6 others, we were the only table of customers in the whole place until 1 other table filled up. Could be just the day of the week or COVID but I'm not sure why it was so empty. That's good I guess if you want the space but not so good from an atmosphere perspective.

My family and I have enjoyed going to the Heart and Crown pub ourselves and with friends for many years. You are in our neighborhood and we love the atmosphere and food. We were there last evening with our out of town family and for the very first time we were so very disappointed with 1 of our main courses. This was the lamb shank,which we’ve enjoyed on previous visits. This time my lamb shank was so tough, full of fat and so much gristle I honestly had trouble eating much of it. Now the veggies and potatoes were lovely, thought paying for a lamb shank dinner and getting so little edible lamb was very disappointing. When our server returned to collect the plates I expressed my unhappiness with the meal and she merely thanked me. There was no “I’ll speak to the manager or kitchen or any Offer of a discount at all. We will of course come back. I just wanted to express that as a often returning customer, who enjoys coming to your pub I did feel ignored and my out of town guests felt bad as my meal was the only one not good. Went tonight to enjoy one of the last days of summer on the patio. Ordered a cheese burger, buffalo wrap and a poutine. The wrap and poutine was decent, nothing special but at least acceptable. The burger was a joke, its 2 inch burger with fries for 17$. Its a slider, that would have been fine for a kids menu but not for an adult. Worst burger of my life and this is coming from a pub. This needs to be corrected. It's unacceptable. On a positive side the service was great, very attentive!

We had a lovely Canada Day dinner. The staff were very covid conscious. No shared condiments, no shared salt and pepper. I felt very safe. As always the food was Great!

My favourite bar in town. Beautiful interior; wondeful, spacious and luxurious. Staff are lovely and take odd drink orders in a stride, and the food is top notch. Really the only downside is getting there if you don't have a vehicle.

Love this place! Everything I've tried has been absolutely amazing, staff are wonderful, and it's got a great energy. I've got a severe food allergy, and the server made sure there wouldn't be any cross contamination - said they have a list in the back of possible contaminants. Never had a reaction here, and never had anything that tasted less than fantastic!

Always a pleasure to visit! But I miss the after school special, it was always my go to. However the maple carrot soup was amazing but needed to border garlic boast as it didn't come with a bun and staff was lovely as usual.

A group of 12 of us went for lunch to celebrate a birthday, and everything was perfect! The food was delicious, with the chef asking questions to ensure the gluten-free needs of our party were addressed, and Danielle's service was the best I have ever seen, even in 5 star restaurants. She intuitively met all our needs while never seeming to hover, and handled bringingout 2 cakes with everything needed seamlessly. I will make Heart and Crown Barrhaven our go-to spot for casual dining!

I visited Heart and Crown with some friends and had a wonderful time! The service was top-notch and the live music really added to the atmosphere. I tried a local beer and it was great. We also ordered their nachos and wings, which were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic evening spent with friends and good music. I highly recommend Heart and Crown to anyone looking for a fun night out!

Took my elderly father there. We both had the seafood chowder. It was remarkably good. Big chunks of seafood and potatoes, dill, and crustinis. Really recommend it.

While I miss the old indoor (pre-COVID) service, the heated patio experience in the fall was great, given the circumstances. Im still reluctant to eat indoors for now, but this place does take the health and safety of its patrons and staff very seriously.

Went for breakfast this past weekend. It was our first time there and we were very satisfied. The interior decor is amazing. Has a sort of Royal feel to it. The food tasted great! My husband had the Irish breakfast. The black pudding was amazing. I tried the Brisket Hash and it was perfectly spiced for my spicy tastebud. Will definitely be going back for lunch and dinner to try other items from their menu.

Lots of parking and easily accessed. Reasonable menu and good draught beers on tap. Great servers. The best review I could give is that I will return.

One of my fabourite places in the east end for a pint. Always friendy and welcoming staff, a great menu and safe environment. Staple in my sanity.

Always a good time here with amazing staff to serve and make our food 5 star rating no doubt and will most likely be there next week. Shout out to the waitress Laura for always being nice and making sure our food is just the way we like it. Heart and crown make sure everyone is safe with glass between each table and packaged knife and forks so jerms dont spread I feel safe everytime I go there!

We love the place. A great location and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff makes you feel welcome and they go the extra mile to see that your time at The H&C is a enjoyable and memorable one. If I could make a suggestion to the ownership it would be to take the food quality up a notch. Great kitchen staff pays dividends to everyone. Keep up the good work.

Great bar! During covid they now have dividers between every table so it's super safe! Awesome music too. We saw Kyle Ivan play there and it was a great show.

My husband and I were both disappointed with our meals (greasy and very little flavour), the drinks were much more expensive and smaller. The patio was set up well for social distancing, but there was a group of guys on the side walk smoking, acting strange and spitting on the ground a couple feet from us (they came out multiple times). This would be really gross on a regular day when you're not eating and when Covid wasn't a thing 🤷 We left early but made sure to complain about the company outside.

My son and I enjoyed our evening out on your patio last night. We were celebrating my birthday with some great beer and good food. The nachos were tasty and deceptively spicy. We also had the crisps which were nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, our waitress kept our glasses full. I was worried that the it would be dead but there were a good crowd of well spaced tables that gave it a great vibe. We will return.

I'm a regular at the Heart and Crown. Prices are good, service is excellent. Love this place. They're clean and safe during these times, I feel very safe and looked-after. Just never order the Guinness Stew. Had it today and... Might as well have been Chef Boyardee. Goopy gelatin gravy with fatty beef that's about good for a pupper. Always get the Ceasar Salad! Best in the city!
