I've
been
meaning
to
come
here
for
ages
and
even
with
all
the
anticipation,
this
place
did
not
disappoint.
I
don't
usually
think
to
make
reservations
for
a
pub
but
you
should
if
you're
visiting
on
the
weekend
and
don't
want
to
wait.
The
restaurant
is
in
a
cozy
historic
building
and
decorated
with
beer
tap
handles,
portraits
of
the
heads
of
monarchy,
Cheshire
cat
decor
and
all
sorts
of
British
memorabilia.
what
a
vibe.
We
ordered
some
classics:
hot
beef
with
a
yorkie
and
mash
and
a
fish
and
chips
(sub
onion
rings
to
satisfy
my
craving).
The
portions
here
are
generous!
The
fish
and
chips
features
pickerel
and
while
it's
not
my
preferred
fish
for
this
dish,
it
was
still
cooked
very
well.
same
for
the
onion
rings.
the
real
star
is
the
hot
beef
and
yorkie.
thinly
slices
of
hot
beef
that's
tender
served
with
an
outstanding
and
beefy
gravy.
and
pile
of
mashed
potatoes,
horseradish
cream
and
yorkshire
pudding
to
soak
all
that
gravy
up.
even
the
charred
vegetables
taste
great.
So
good
that
it's
basically
a
guarantee
that
I'll
get
this
dish
every
time
I
visit.
also
picked
up
a
frozen
sticky
toffee
pudding
to
take
home.
it
comes
in
the
large
size
which
is
a
large
tissue
box
sized
container
for
$15.
we
baked
it
up
at
home
and
had
it
with
ice
cream
and
enjoyed
the
bittersweet
caramel
flavours.
