Wow. Just wow. From the moment we walked in I was super impressed with the atmosphere and when the hostess greeted and seated us it was with professionalism and we immediately knew we were in a fine dining restaurant. There was a surprise though, read on. We were quickly seated in a perfect wide 2 person booth which is super comfy and more than wide enough to cut into a steak and not worry about elbowing someone walking by. Calming lights of all types, great art and literally one of the best ambiances I've experienced in a restaurant let alone one with such a great price point. The waitress Gabrielle was amazing! Walked us through everything and gave perfect explanations and left everything up to us but still made sure everything was perfect. And perfect it was. Their Amber on tap was amazing, the food was delicious and fresh. The perfect balance of flavours, freshness and believe it or not....price. Our meal at any restaurant would be on par or more, even something as cookie cutter as Montana's and would definitely not come even close to the food at Moxie's. Did I mention the bathrooms? Lol. Wow. Don't know where to look when using the urinal men? No worries at Moxie's. Catch up on the game! Tvs at every one. Cleanest, and most awesome bathrooms I've seen in a public space. The women even have a powder room in theirs to sit and freshen up. Seriously above and beyond. No matter what my experience has been this dining experience is a must. Get out and try it and you'll see for yourself, it's a 10 out of 10 and if I could give it more than 5 stars. Looking forward to many more visits.

Where do I start ok let me share the good things first. The ambience is amazing, the cocktails were really great, appetizer calamari was excellent, the salted caramel cheese cake on the pecan base was just the right amount of sweetness and that's about it. For the main course we ordered pasta - prawns tagliatelle over all was good but more towards the bland side. My taste buds are used to fiery Indian cuisine so I felt it was plain bland. Second dish chipotle mango chicken with rice. The chicken was cooked to perfection but extremely salty I don't mean to be dramatic but it was like salt bae drizzled salt in my mouth. Some how balanced it with the rice but I could not continue on to the second one. Other than the main course everything was good. I would come back again for sure. Give it another try.

Awesome food and the staff was really friendly. Service was fast and there was available tables on a Saturday night. Portions size could potentially be a little larger for the price. Dessert, on the other side, was huge, almost impossible to finish between two. Kids pasta was also large.

I dislike giving full stars, but it is what it is. The location is clean, waitress was very polite and prompt, and food was both well presented and tasted great. Plenty of external parking, and delivery of food was very prompt

Just having arrived back home from a long work trip, I took the family to Moxie's for a fun night out. Kids loved the atmosphere and the server and managers made our stay welcoming and warm. Outstanding food also. Had the blackened shrimp tacos and my wife had the crispy chicken sandwich (her fave). Kids are well also and they were able to accommodate my son's gluten intolerance and the manager even came out to ensure we were satisfied with their solutions. Definitely going back for date night!

Wow! Best Calamari we have ever tasted..incredibly delicious and succulent! Cheeseburgers were also done to perfection and tasted absolutely divine. My wifes salad (market) looked incredibly good and tasted even better. Our waitress was super sweet and helpful. Beautiful ambiance and top notch food , awesome presentation and excellent service. One of the best restaurant experiences in Ottawa. Highly recommended.

Went to dinner here with some friends last week. Service was slow but precautions were being taken by staff in response to covid. Masks were worn the entire time but 6 ft distance was not always possible with other people in the restaurant due to tight spaces. Got the pineapple basil margarita and would definitely recommend. Wasn't aware that we did not need to give gratuity until after the fact since we were a large group, nevertheless waitress was great and deserved a tip.

I had an amazing time with my friend. I really love their servises, and Stephanie is one of the best server. I recommend this place for any celebration. Don't wait u won't regret :)

Staff are excellent! Restaurant decor and seating are very customer friendly! Covid protocols and set up give you a feeling of a safe environment. Wine selection is very good and we were very pleased with the half price bottle of wine special. We selected the Riesling from the Niagara Region and were not disappointed! Food was very well prepared and the presentation was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly, had a great sense of humour, was knowledgeable about the menu and wine offerings and most importantly not intrusive. My wife and I were very pleased with our Moxie's experience!

Drinks and food is great! But when you point out to the waitress that the glass is not clean and she says… this is bcuz we freeze our glasses, I start to wonder. How can the glass still be frozen after few hrs??

Went for dinner date (4th time now) at Hunt club and Riverside. We have added this to our regular list of "go to" restaurants. The dessert warm White chocolate brownie with scoop of ice cream and whipped cream (for 2) is decadent. Every dish we add to our list Never disappoints our taste buds.

My wife and I were part of a small group Christmas party. We had to pre-order our meals and even with that they really could not handle a group of twenty. My wife a I were completely forgotten. When starters were served to the rest of the group, my pre ordered salad never arrived. I had to chase down staff to get it served. I was told by a server that they could not find me on the list. When it was time for the entree, the server came to the table to ask others at the table how they would like their steak without asking me and was gone so fast I couldn’t not get their attention. Once again I had to chase down someone to get this resolved. Our dinners were served after the rest of the group. They brought my steak and my wife’s chicken meal. Mine was only warm and hers was burnt. She complained and it was replaced with a proper cooked chicken meal. As we were in a group it was not the time to talk to the manager. Considering the price of meals at Moxie‘s experience was unacceptable. The server still was given a good tip. this was a management problem. Though owner replied to my review promptly and I promptly supplied him with my contact info. No follow-up contact to date, 6 days later.

Our server Nikita was a star! She gave us advice on what to order and checked in often to make sure we were having a good time! Our food was delicious and the drinks were creative. The atmosphere and music were good. Overall 10/10

Hadn't visited a restaurant in this chain for years? so approached with some trepidation. Despite the patio bordering the box mall parking lot it felt quiet and pleasantly relaxing. Our meals were very tasty. It began to rain as we were finishing or we might have stayed for another drink.

They were able to accommodate our relatively large group on short notice. Friendly service, clean and spacious venue. The wings appetizer was excellent. The main dish selection is lacking. Their prices are also relatively high compared to the food served. This place is great for big groups, but the quality/quantity of the portion could be improved.

We went for the 3 course Thanksgiving turkey dinner and it was an amazing experience. The highlight was the dessert, a combination of warm brownie and cold ice cream. The best dessert I ever had. The waitress was very friendly too. Will definitely return.

Good restaurant that I went to for a birthday dinner. Good food, good atmosphere. My critique would be their impatience for young patrons. It felt at times our table was disregarded and ignored in favour of the tables with adults, even though we tipped an average of 10%. Food was good, a little pricey.

Plenty of parking and plenty of amenities and restaurants within this area. I had the mango chicken. The vegetables and sides were cook to perfection. The chicken was good, not great or amazing. The mango sauce is literally just mango puree. Was expecting some type of mango infused sauce but still good overall. Salad was your typical salad. The winner here was the calarmi. They cooked it perfectly. Juicy and crispy, had a nice soft crunch to it. The sauce they gave was fantastic. You have your sweet and dill mayo type of sauce. Anything you order, make sure you add calamari to that! I've had other menu items and I would say most of the times have enjoyed the various dishes they have here. Waiters are friendly and service is typically pretty fast. Decor is pretty decent also for a night out. I had the white chocolate brownie desert. It was amazing! There was strawberry sauce with ice cream on top of it. A must order if you like your deserts. Sadly I forgot to take a picture of it. I'd come here just to eat the calamari.

My girls and I come here pretty often for wine Wednesday or happy hour menu. We love the shrimp tacos and the half price bottle of wines and i believe there's also a dj that day so it makes it a good vibe. on other days though its a hit or miss and so is the food sometimes great sometimes alright. Overall its good !

Delicious food and excellent service. My neighbour and I go to Moxie’s monthly on a Wednesday night. We’ve been fortunate to have Joe as our server. He’s exceptional. He remembers names, drink orders and everything else. When we were there last month, Joe had remembered my birthday and there was a birthday balloon at our booth. We’ll be there again this month.

We have just moved to Ottawa from Brampton. My wife was craving for a steak and we stopped at Moxie’s grill bar. We had a pleasant experience of their implacable services, which I would like to share with everyone. We had our meals and as they were cleaning up and saw what was left on my wife plate they questioned what was the reason. When she said it wasn’t to her liking the server went and told her supervisor and he came over to apologise for it and they even have removed the charges from our bill. All that to say when we have even not made a complaint of any kind they took responsibility to make their customers happy. That’s shows what their values are. Not just make sales. But to be proud of their services to the customers and their happiness. What a wonderful and extraordinary services it was. My wife said even though she didn’t have her full meal it felt like she got her belly full with their kindness and heartfelt services. Thank you and looking forward to visit again.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception with our family and friends at Moxie's on Hunt Club last Sept 2021. Our server Eric was absolutely awesome. The service, food and atmosphere was perfect. We returned tonight with my mother and father in law and once again, the food and service did not disappoint. Wonderful menu, quality food, Top service, amazing jovial staff, great price & super affordable. I recommend their calamari appetizers, their nachos, their beyond meat Burger, their Caesar salad is excellent with a little extra sauce. Perfect, if you are a saucy type even their steak medium is very very very good. Looking forward to get you down there you will be amazed with their service.

Recently been going here on Fridays. Good in between location for friends. Service is great, and the nachos (with spicy beef) is amazing. They have a few different beers on tap, I like that the brews are very cold (I opted for Goose Island). The server ( I believe was Danielle) was professional, friendly and had some great recommendations. Its tough for the industry..I'm amazed at what they can pull off.

Absolutely Disgusting Valentines Dinner. Steak tasted like tough water, fries tasted like they were made hours ago, brownie was dry, and the rest like a microwave dinner. For $100 to the garbage. Thanks alot Moxies!

My wife and I had dinner this evening at this location and we were immediately taken by the eye popping atmosphere. Aesthetically this is a gorgeous restaurant. The spacing is very comfortable. The food that we ordered was good and we were sufficiently satisfied. What really was over the top for us was our server Steph T. We made sure to tell her before leaving. She has great energy; made great food recommendations and always came to the table with a warm and greeting smile. She is excellent and a true gift to your team.

Great atmosphere, food was interesting. The Ramen was better than expected, when you have the mushrooms, you will know what I mean. Nice place to go to have a little celebration.

I stopped in out of the blue and ordered a Steak Frites for takeout. It was ready quickly and wow it was fantastic!

I had Ribeye steak. It was little hard and okay taste. We also ordered some appetizers. Appetizers were good. Somehow our server wasn’t really paying attention to our table so we had some hard time to call the server to order. Atmosphere of this restaurant was good but I am not sure if I would like to come back for the steak and the service.

The atmosphere is great though it can get a little loud. Staff was very friendly and attentive! I appreciated the many vegetarian/vegan options! I really enjoyed the tofu wraps and cashew cheese dip! The cheesecake wasn’t my favourite but the walnut crumb was an interesting choice. Edit: we discovered that the Chicken sandwich was not fully cooked which was a big disappointment because the experience was great. The chefs should make sure that meat is fully cooked. Luckily she didn’t get sick but it could have been a lot worse!

Came for happy hour and the food was great. We had shrimp tacos, sweet potato fries and calamari. The Calamari was tastey. There wasn't too much batter, which is good because often I find calamari is all batter and no squid. You can actually taste the squid in these ones. The shrimp taco is good but they are served as a cold dish, just FYI. The sweet potato fries were good but the portion was lacking. For the price they could have given a bit more.

I ate Moxie with my family for dinner yesterday. I ordered the Sirloin Beef with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious! I drank Coke with ice too. Also, I ordered the brownie ice cream with whipped cream it was delicious! I was very full afterward. One day, I will come back to try another food. The waitress was friendly and always check on us if we were okay. Overall, the restaurant was beautiful, well-decorated, and well-organized.

Moxie's was good. Had the cheeseburger and fries. It was tasty, lots of flavour. The booth were were sat at was nice and secluded for conversational intimacy. Dividers up and masks for covid precautions. I liked my visit overall.

I use to love coming 3 times a week with my work buddies but the last time we went we had the worker experience ever at a restaurant the food was so bad they changed most of the menu and how they make the food it was disgusting. And the waiters excuse was corona COVID-19 that’s all.

Wasn't awful. Food was good kitchen did a great job and it was brought quickly to our table. Their old salmon dish was better with the capers and dill the new one is a bit bland, found it a bit salty and then a touch over priced I think this would have fit well in the 22 dollar range their charging as much as some of their steak for fish and its only salmon. The server we had was clearly preoccupied however as he had friends in the building and made sure they were well taken care of, unfortunately that led to our table becomming neglected. Didn't come.back for a second round of drinks and actually didn't even serve our table our main and didn't come back i had to get up and ask for my bill after waiting 10- 15 minutes. Good job BOH. None of this falls on you you get 5 stars.

Very fun and relaxing atmosphere! We dined on the patio and had a lovely server Ariana, who was polite and enthusiastic! Drinks were on point and brought quickly! The appetizer was plain nachos (just how I like it) and had enough cheese (which I find a lot of places skimp on the cheese when you order plain), and the steak plates were both cooked exactly to our liking and extremely flavourful. I am not usually a fan of mashed potatoes but these were smooth and buttery, I would definitely order potatoes from here again, lol! Appetizer and main courses came very timely, even during the beginning of the dinner rush. Would give 6 stars if possible!!

Nice atmosphere, service is good, only problem was the steaks we ordered. Both new York and sirloin steak my wife and I got, no season what so ever, inside was very tough. My sirloin was burnt black and bitter, no seasoning. My wife new York wasn't even medium rare. Overall I'll probably only come here for drinks, starters and chill outside.

My first time at Moxies and it was great. The waitress we had was amazing. She gave great recommendations for drink and made sure we were always good. The food also was really good. I had the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni and it was yummy. I love the guy who came around with the pepper cause he was soo live and funny. Will definitely be going back again

Slow cooks

Moxies is very good - but not great at almost everything. It can also be a more bit expensive than less “classy” establishments but you’re paying for a more high end experience. I’ve tried a good number of the menu items and have yet to be disappointed. They do tend to over cook their steaks a bit though. The mini donuts on the desert menu are shockingly awesome.

I went to eat here for dinner with my wife and kids. The staff is very friendly and the food tasted great and priced moderately. I will certainly go back here again and highly recommend this place to friends and family. I just want to say our waiter Blake did a superb job. He was very friendly and quick to attend our needs. Once again thank you Blake. Till then hope to see you again. My family had a good time thanks to you.

Nice place, fancier than I thought which made me a bit nervous with 2 kiddos but staff were friendly. Service was great tbh, but food was subpar. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps which was delish, however I was rly excited for the prawn curry dish - which unfortunately was not edible. Not brothy or creamy- it was shrimps swimming in water 🥲 The steak was not bad. Kids meals are cute - my daughter ate up her salmon. Friendly staff but would prbbly not return, prawn dish was that bad. Staff apologized for it tho so theres that.
