Had a really nice dinner with great wine and beer, the appetizer was a shrimp starter on rice, and my mother's salmon was the catch of the day. She was very impressed. I had the chicken tacos and while they were satisfying and good I went for the turkey meatloaf. I ordered the turkey meatloaf. But the bartender had to come back and inform me they were all out. Disappointed, but not a huge deal. Will be back and will call ahead to make sure this signature dish is on stock. UPDATE:. Returned last night with my parents! Victoria was excellent. She was patient and funny, personable and quick. Turkey meatloaf was in stock and I talked it up so much my dad had it as well and loved it. Excellent meal and service, can't wait to go back!

We came here for lunch on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon in the autumn. We were immediately greeted by a hostess, and there were plenty of tables available. We sat on the rooftop, where another server immediately took care of us. They have a plentiful beer selection. The $20 special for the salmon wrap was delicious. The service was very fast. This is one of my favourite casual places in Westboro.

Mediocre experience. Waitress forgot half our order, but she was having shots at another table. I don't really care if you allow servers to drink on the job, but get the orders right. Got the special which was supposed to be seared tuna that day. It was overcooked and the vegetables on the side were inedible, literally soaked in vinegar. No price, expected it to be in line with other items on the menu, but was much more expensive when the bill came. Feels like this place hit the covid-crunch hard, not the same as we remembered. Stick with a beer and a sandwich wrap if you decide to go here, the drinks and other food are not very good.

Slightly upscale pub with a fantastic menu, awesome rooftop patio, and great atmosphere. Food and cocktails are always perfect and the service is usually excellent. Really friendly staff. Can get busy at dinner time or on a weekend so best to call for a reservation if possible. Cheers!

I usually share my good experiences at places and always focus on the good of each site, but today I came to Churchill's few minutes earlier than the kitchen's last call. I knew I was going to be very close while on the way so I decided to call and confirm if I would be able to be served if I was 10 minutes earlier than 10:00pm and they said yes. A while after ordering me and my friends were addressed by the bartender who said they couldn't make our food because the cook had closed the kitchen 5 minutes earlier. I would have appreciated better communication and definitely not waste our time.

A nice little pub with a decent selection of local beers as well as a menu to suite anyone's palette. I particularly enjoyed their take on a Reuben sandwich. I will be back again!

We were in at Churchills last night as a big group. We called ahead to let them know and were greeted by a rude server. We were ordering through a staff member who we know (Kingston) and the other man (Mike) rudely came over to take our order, interrupting our conversation with Kingston. We asked what time the kitchen closed and they said 11. At 10:50 we asked if we could order food and they said yes. He was rushing us to order, telling us we had to hurry up or we couldn't order anything because he wouldn't punch it in. We said, can you give us a minute? to which he said "no you can get out of here, you're cut off". This is not the first time we've had a bad experience at Churchills. We thought we would give it another chance as it's been a few years since. Well, things have not changed. Very rude servers, impatient, and bad customer service. We ended up being a group of 30 who were drinking all night so they missed out on a lot of business and we will make sure we don't return.

Place is nice and cozy. Servers are very friendly and food was delish.🤤 I had the fajita nachos. So yummy.😋 Apparently the steak was really delishious too (from a friend). Their pub fries...uff. Drinks are made well also.😉 If you're looking for something not too big and just in the nook of westboro I'd suggest going here. Especially if you're feeling that pub feel.💜💙

Not worth it guys! If you want to waste 45 minutes of your life for a meal welcome here! Apart from that it’s fine. Waitresses are nice and the patio is good. In conclusion. Don’t come in rush hours!

I won't go there again, most probably. The prices are a bit higher than average. 24 dollars for a very average burger. The size of the burger is the same as what you find at a McDonald's. The tacos were not that good, and were not stuffed cleanly. The menu offers 3 tacos for a single meal and you cannot choose different proteins in them. You have a choose steak, OR chicken, OR pork for all 3 tacos. Which is ridiculous. The service was horrible. They didn't even bring sauces (ketchup/mayo) to the table. They even didn't bring water to the table. We had to ask for all of them one by one. When we called the waiters, they didn't answer at all. I had to go to the counter and ask for water and once again for sauce. The space in the patio is also very limited. Only 3 tables are near the balcony, which are always full. (Though not a specific view you got from there). They don't have parking space. You can find a space in the streets around, but not in front of the pub. Overall, not recommended. There are many many better options at this price point.

Went with my brother and friend. The staff were friendly and service was quick, we ordered the nachos with brisket and it was tasty. For the mains we ordered the fish and chips, the brazillian shrimp and the seafood pasta... all 3 were very tasty and cooked to perfection would definately go back

Beautiful rooftop patio. It's like an oasis with a liquor licence. Our group had a number of dishes: salmon, burgers, brisket, and salad. Everyone was pleased with their food! Good beer list.

Great place, our new go-to pub in Westboro: nice atmosphere, good selection of local beers, friendly and effective waitstaff, plus (perhaps hardest to pull off consistently) excellent food. We're lucky to have them.

I’m not gonna lie , I only went here because I’m pregnant and was having really bad cravings for Calamari. Which they did GREAT 🤤. Atmosphere was nice, they have a rooftop patio! Prices were as expected for somewhere on that street. Would go back!!

On the pricey side, but a tasty lunch. Can't complain about the food at all, their Brazilian steak wrap was well done. The steak wasn't stringy as it often is when you get it in a wrap. The palm hearts were a nice touch and the flavor was good. Good selection of beer and their rooftop patio was nice. Service is a little bit slow but I think that can be blamed on the stairs.

Service was exceptional. We had Bloody Caesars that were yummy .....included celery, green been, pickle, olive and best if all, their home made jerky which was delicious! We just had appies.... tequila shrimp and zucchini....very tasty and it was perfect to share for a lunch! Nice big booths to sit in....very cozy.....I should probably give them a five star now that I notice everything was excellent!!

Great roof top patio with a full tent top and heaters for cold nights. The food was really good, the service was friendly and they have a few good craft beer selections. I had their shrimp stew, which was delish, 2 others had fish and chips, which were very good, especially the fries. The other had their fish tacos and he said they were really good. We finished off with some cocktails. Perfect night.

Upstairs patio is fantastic environment. I keep switching between Old Fashioned and Whisky Sour when I go. I thought one would eventually come out as a favorite, but I'm kinda glad that hasn't happened because I get to keep sampling while they battle it out.

Lively atmosphere, great service, a nice selection of wines, cocktails and local beers- what more could you want? Great food? They have that too. One of the best spots in Westboro.

Great rooftop patio, tables are spaced out much more appropriately than some other establishments. The drinks are a good price, the service is excellent, and the views are very nice at sun down. We didn't eat here, but I would highly suggest you stop by for drinks if you're interested.

Churchill's is a really neat place to enjoy a nice drink on the upper patio! Theres plenty of space (you're not crowded in) and the majority of the patio is covered, so rain or shine you can enjoy it. We tried the wontons they have on the app menu and they were fantastic. I'll definitely go back to try out the jalapeno poppers. However, I would not recommend the patio for anybody with mobility issues. The stairs leading up are fairly steep and unless I'm mistaken their is no elevator. Kudos to the waitresses who climb the stairs day in and day out!

I love going to Churchill’s, it’s hands down one of the best places that Ottawa has to offer. Nothing but great service, love going for the atmosphere and the best drinks in town. One of the bartenders, Mike, always treats me well and is very attentive. Will always make sure to swing by when I’m in town, 5/5 recommend

I really like this place, and I've always been happy with the food and drink selection. (Though a few dishes are a bit small for their price points.) The reason I'm only giving four stars however is something else. Over the last few months there has been a consistent issue with staff attention. Some just looking at their phones or barely talking when serving. I hope they get paid properly and this is not some form of protest, but it definitely used to be a lot better and the staff interactions used to be a reason for me to come regurlarly.

Group of 12 of us having cocktails and snacks. If server paid more attention to us our bills would have been WAY higher Shouldn’t have to track her down for a refill. Food was decent

Came here for lunch and the got the buffalo chicken wrap, with a caesar salad. The upgraded salad portion was very generous, I was surprised by the quantity provided, and it was tasty. The buffalo chicken wrap was decent, I found the chicken could have been crispier in it, but it still had good flavor. Service was excellent, and very friendly.

Great ambiance but the prices! It’s like it’s trying to convey through the prices it is something it is not. I paid 21$ for an, albeit, local, organic beef, burger, but, for that price, why was it so bland and had nothing of interest to it besides the fries, which were good, at least?! You get a better burger at a food truck. And the liquor prices?! For a pub I was disappointed by their poor choice and range of beer. Out of all the dark and amber craft beer options we have available, they offered one, not even from here and a Carlsberg?!

One of the best burgers (all their food is good but I can't resist the burger to order anything else) in Ottawa. Excellent rooftop patio and generally great service. Excellent bar selection as well.

The waitress forgot our appetizer and really didn't do anything to try and correct the situation I don't think we even really got an apology, which started the situation off not great. Lucky for me my food was okay, however everyone else I went with did not have a great experience and felt the food was both not good and highly overpriced. I found the cocktails and beer selection was good but once again way over priced. Overall, I have to say I wasn't very impressed especially for the high price, the only reason I rated it two stars was because the drinks and cocktails were good but I doubt I'll ever come back for the food...

Churchills has been my watering hall for a better part of 8+ years give or take. And I don't think ever had a negative moment with this establishment. I used to work in Westboro in a restaurant and it was always the routine to go to "church" right after. This place has readily and easily accommodated over 10+ as a reservation almost last minute, their servers have ways been extremely helpful, attentive and charming. The food may be a little pricey but that also comes with the saying you get what you pay for. They definitely feed you and they definitely feed you a lot of things that are mads/ prepared in house. The atmosphere is decorated simply but also dominated by the multitude of beautiful wood seating on the ground floor. There is a rooftop patio that is under a canopy but also has sections under umbrellas. I hard recommended their pulled pork poutine, their wraps, and fish and chips.

Chef Bryce did not disappoint. Beautiful meal with great service, top shelf. Our server Tori was fantastic and we enjoyed every bite. We will be returning to North Bay to visit with our new friends again. Thank you again Chef Bryce and Tori for making it a very special night we will always remember. Jay & Christine

This was our first time at Churchills. It’s got a cool upstairs patio area. I feel super bad for the waiters/waitresses they have to go up what feels like 50 stairs to bring drinks/food to whoever is eating upstairs - every single time. The food was a very generous portion. You’re able to get half fries/half salad for the same price and as you can see from the photo it was very generous half portions. The burger was juicy and flavourful. The poutine had a thick salty gravy with a good amount of cheese. Overall a good experience.

I had a Carlsberg beer, which was specially priced for Sunday, was served in a very nice glass and was cold. The poutine with brisket was perfect! It had the perfect amount of cheese, gravy, and fries, and the brisket was delicious and there was a generous amount. Will be back to try more!

Order a chicken wrap 13$, it was okay, nothing special. A tad expensive for what I got. The place is much like any bar you'd find in the area, good atmosphere for drinks and socializing.

They care about meat. They smoke their own meat and have great wings. Quality of their greens are also great. Bam!

Fish is advertised as Haddock -- IT ISNT (probably Tilapia or something of much less quality) -- was also mushy and tastless . fries overcooked

Terrible experience tonight. As a longstanding patron of Churchill's I left insulted and regretful to have ventured out to support one of my favourite restaurants. A friend and I arrived and left our names being told it was a 30 minute wait which seemed reasonable. After 45 minutes of waiting we noticed a group of 4 people who arrived arrived well after us be offered a table. When I inquired to the bar tender I was coldly told that they were 4 and we were two. No apology, not a care in his voice. Had we been forewarned prior to deciding to wait that we would be offered a table along the restaurant's economical interests instead of first come, first serve we wouldn't have bothered waiting. Yes, they served four clients tonight but lost a local and faithful customer.

Great food, nice restaurant. Only thing was I couldn't book the patio for my group. During covid you would think you'd bend the rules so you don't have people waiting around to sit on the patio. But over all great time.

This spot is like my second home. I'm so glad they're back! The staff is incredible, I'd like to consider them my friends. They handle everything with diligence and the utmost care. The owner's are the loveliest people, they really make you feel welcome! This spot will be a staple in my life for now and for many years to come.

Very good food, unfortunately, because of covid and the new shutdown rules, they were running out of food selections which is understandable. The alternatives were excellent. Would definitely recommend this place. A bit pricy for some food and drink selections.

Came in at around 3:00 pm, place wasn't busy at all. Ordered the Fish and Chips after asking for a recommandation, didn't take much time to come out. Firstly the fries here are really good with a nice texture. The coleslaw side was pretty tasty also. The Fish had some tasty batter, heavy egg flavour but it works. Overall great little place.

I love the patio in the summer time. The food drinks and service is all fantastic.

I needed comfort food on this grey dreary day and there it was, mac and cheese and bacon. Of course their 3 oz ceasar house special loaded with the portable salad pieces was a wonderful compliment. One say I will remember to take a photo before I devour half!

I love the food here so much that I went back three times in two days. I’m a huge fan of Southern cuisine and I’ve lived in the south for almost a decade and this is one of the few places in Canada that does it right. Generous portions and incredible food, the chef definitely has some creative and inspiring items on the menu. I love the wings here and they got me hooked to this place. I went back to try the buffalo chicken wrap, which was very good. My favorite was the Reuben Sandwich, they made it extremely well and I believe they have their own smoked meat. Montreal style. I highly recommend trying it. The portions are nice and generous, I really hate it when restaurants skimp on portions (especially when you consider the food mark up) . I hate it even more when supposedly southern restaurants skimp on portions, however, this place does it well and you definitely won’t leave hungry or dissatisfied. The service was nice and polite as well. I’ll be back and I highly recommend this place.

The pulled pork sandwich was great! However the Cesar salad was horrible, that's why the 1 star docked, it was dry, and what dressing there was , was flavorless. The asain beef salad was great with a great blend of flavors. Atmosphere and service was great as well

It is a cozy little rooftop patio. As long as it isn't pouring rain, there is enough cover to sit outside during a mild rainfall. This unassuming tavern has really tasty upscale dishes along with some favourite classic pub fare at reasonable prices.
