Royal oak is a great place to come too. Friendly staff and good daily drink deals. And the bar tender Ryan is one of the best in the city. I highly recommend royal oak!!

Tip and taxes are almost as much as the meal, which was overly priced as well. 32.00 for a hamburger and a few fries my first and last time there.

We got take out nachos. Asked for half jalapeños and it was perfect. Enough that we were full. Got it on a super cold day and was still warm when we got home. One of our favourite pubs. Tasty and hit the spot on a cold night.

Usually Royal Oak is a good place to stop however, our visit to this one was regretful. The service was slow, never came back for drink refills or to check on us at all. Had to go get our own cutlery as well. The pub itself is in desperate need of a reno as it just felt very run down. Won't be back to this location.

We enjoyed a great supper tonight at the Royal Oak on Hunt Club. I just want to recommend the warm goat cheese salad with chicken it was excellent! A special thanks to Natasha our server, she was very outgoing and friendly! Great service!!! We have been going there for years and will continue to do so.

Recently had lunch with good friends at this Royal Oak. We have had lunch there on previous occasions that’s why we returned. Two of us had the Turkey Brie & Cranberry. Two large pieces of sourdough bread filled with turkey and Brie which you needed a magnifying glass to find. Cranberries? Where? They bread was dry and cold. All this for $17.95 which is definitely overpriced. Needless to say none of the 4 ladies will recommend it or return.

The absolute worst experience; paid 28$ For 28 fries and two small fish in a big box with 12 ketchup and vinegar. I am so disappointed. Will never dine at this place ever again. What a joke.

It is a neighborhood pub feel. We came for karaoke excited to discover a new location. We find an empty table and the waitress walks over unhappily put down menus didn't say a word and just walked away. All night our service was mediocre. The food was decent but alot of money for what it was. We picked the make your own sampler. Pop is not free refills and at 4$ each it adds up quick. All round the karaoke was great! The food was ok. The staff was to be desired and it was expensive!

The tables were spaced out appropriately so I felt comfortable dining-in here. The chicken tenders were great, and their green whisky sours (as shown in the photo) are delish! I also had a bellini and that was good too. We had an awesome waiter, he was really kind and down to earth. Should have gotten his name. Maybe next time! I'll definitely be going back.

Very friendly service, the pork burger was kind of plain & wet would of been better with beef and pulled pork but still good, great fries though!

The food was tasty and the staff were lovely. Lots of seating and relaxed atmosphere. I'm sure I'll be back.

Ambiance is good, food is good, portions are on the slightly smaller side for the price and our two tables were very wobbly. We had to push the tables together to stop one from spinning freely and the other from wobbling a lot. All in all not a bad place, could use some improvement that is very much do-able.

Great service, great food, and great drinks. My only complaint would be that the individual nachos are smaller than individual nachos at other restaurants. Had to order more food on top of them. Overall, great experience and will be going back.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food.I could have overlooked the long wait but we got our appetizer served with our meal for starters.I had steak quesadillas that were terrible.The supposed steak was grisly pieces of unseasoned meat and there was no salsa just some kind of red sauce like Frank's. The appetizer was spinach dip with tortilla chips that must have come from the dollar store.My bud had bland veggies,rice and butter chicken.I would not recommend this place for food.Maybe for drinks.Make sure you don't sit by the windows or you will freeze.

We've been here a few times. A little too loud for my taste but the service is always excellent and the food is at a fair price and always delicious. There menu offers the best fish & chips in town and they have many menu options and some creative offerings.

Ordered take-out on a Sunday evening. Portions aren't huge but we're big enough to satisfy without leftovers. Spent about 20$ per person for a main per person. Everything. Tasted good and was not too oily. One thing to note is that my roommate said the potatoes in the shepherds pie were layered potato slice and not mashed potatoes, maybe that more of the way they do it in restaurant but we are more used to mashed potatoes on shepherds pie. He says it was still tasty though.

I grew in the neighborhood before i moved to Kemptville... Still the greatest bar to have 🍻. Always awesome staffs... Nice patio area as there weren't good one growing up. Take your chance and go!

Went to enjoy a sit down dinner with a friend before she moved away. Ordered an appetizer and a wrap. No appetizer showed up. Just got a wrap and sweet potato fries. Ends up being an entirely different wrap than what I ordered. Our waitress was no where to be found. I had to flag down another one. Profusely sorry and I said no problem and waited for the right order. Our original waitress brought the right order out and then blamed the kitchen for most of it instead of just apologizing. Mediocre food for the price. $50 at the end of it and she charged me for 3 drinks I stead of 1. I will not be going back to this location. Poor service, long wait, too much money.

I go to the Oak for their Fish and Chips. I'm very picky when it comes to the batter on my fish and the oak has a great batter I love their fish and chips. And the service is always great

Good enough food. The weather covers for their outdoor seating could be a different color, white makes it blinding if you're sitting and facing the window towards them, creates a snowblind effect.

I went to a stag and doe at this location. I had a great time. However, when I got home from the party I realized that I had lost the oticon receiver for my hearing aids. The staff tore the building apart to look for it. I found it attached to my seat belt in the car the next day. The staff were so increadable and I am so grateful.

The food is just passable pub food, and the odd time they have something unique on the menu, it tends to be overpriced for the portion size. I've found service to be pretty hit and miss, but it's otherwise a fine place to drink with a classic pub atmosphere.

The standards need to be reevaluated, the male server with black hair took orange wedges out of a finished pitcher of beer to garnish a drink, then proceeded to talk about how the table he was serving was going to leave a small tip. I ordered the fish and chips and the tartar sauce came with the added surprise of a dirty dish under my tartar sauce with lemon seeds and left over tartar sauce The female server and the male survey with brown hair were amazing

Not a good experience at all. Went for family dinner, and the restaurant was dead. Service was bad. No water for the table, no checking for drink refills. The drinks came underfilled, which isn't a good sign, and the restaurant continued to prove to be very stingy with their food. I ordered the $33 steak, and got what is shown in the attached picture. That steak is not even 1/2" thick, so it doesn't matter how you order it - it'll be well done. "Mushrooms" means a single mushroom cut into pieces. I voiced my problem before eating, and they offered a 50% discount to which I agreed and then ate the meal. When the bill came, they decided they didn't want to offer a 50% discount anymore and instead tried to offer a gift certificate! No thanks... I shouldn't have to fight for a discount I was promised up front. That's so shady. Other meals at the table were very underwhelming. One wrap was all lettuce, and the noodle bowl was just microwaved mush. Staff was clearly fed up with us when we brought up issues, so I don't think they care at all if the customers are happy. Apps were good though. It's not the same as it used to be. The whole family left disappointed. I wouldn't recommend coming here for dinner. It's not worth it and if you do have any issues, you won't be treated with respect.

A solid local pub with a game room for your kids. Nice open seating, attentive staff, and not too many TVs. They have a patio for the summer and a long bar rail. It’s a Royal Oak, a local chain that is almost 40 now, and we hope they have another 40 years.

The food sandwich was decent. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. However, the atmosphere wasn't the best for a visually impaired individual.

I go to my fair share of pubs, including Royal Oaks. Tomorrow I'm Hunt club in Uplands have really amazing staff. I was going to order a bottle of wine but because of a deal on that evening it was slightly cheaper to buy by the glass. I wouldn't have paid attention and I appreciate him pointing it out.

Stopped in here for lunch. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with salad. It was really good and fresh. Service was good and the food came quickly.

Appetizers were okay. Location is in need of some renovations as my party was sat near the emergency exit door, and there was quite the draft coming through the door which was uncomfortable given that it's winter. Server was nice but forgot orders at our table and mixed up a drink order too.

My sandwich was more bread than meat & the server didn't tell us about the brunch menu & when asked said there wasn't really anything. She didn't come back to offer more coffee or other drinks.

My wife and I stopped by after a Sens game tonight. We were greeted by Cass who was our Server. She had us playing musical chairs as there were heating issues and she wanted us to be comfortable 😜 we had a couple beers and our food was all served within great time. Cass and my wife even talked about tequila together 🤦she had such a great sense of conversation and humour. Very hard to find, give this lady a raise.....the food I will say was absolutely amazing just wish the serving was a bit bigger for the price. My only complaint was the heating inside, it was quite chilly and it's the reason we left and didn't stay for another drink

Speed of service : slow: We were a group of 20 and had specified time for lunch. The waitress took drinks order first and after 45min took our lunch order. By the time we all got our lunch we just had 25 min to eat and depart. Whereas our lunch order should have been taken with the drinks so we need not have to gulp the food. So no photo of the food, no time to click it :(

Tried this place twice while staying at the hotel behind it. Breakfast was decent but bad service even though we were the only 2 people there. Tried dinner, same brutal service and the food came out cold...like what the hell. Step up your game royal oak. Everyone else...avoid this place

Half price wings during NFL games. Wings where good. We got the breaded wings. Had a large ceasar salad. Witch was nice and crunchy and very tasty. Beer is always good there. Cold and lots to choose from.

I have been coming here for many years. Always a nice atmosphere with good food, decent beer selection and friendly staff. My last visit they had live music, seems to be a Friday, and Saturday night thing. It wasn't overbearing so you could still carry on a conversation. We never had to wait for service. Overall prices are pretty reasonable, and you get good value. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Ottawa.

Had half priced wings and they were uncooked in the middle. Showed the waitress the fleshy uncooked piece of chicken so she gave me another lb of wings. Charged me for them after, too. So, I paid to get food poisoning. I like Royal Oak but, tonight kind of sucked.

Service was slow, philly cheesesteak sandwich left a little wanting steak cubed , portion seemed lite ,ordered smoke meat was brought smoke burger , then told no rye bread brought with normal bread smoke meat super dry, they did compensate for that gave gift cards for future visit , should have comped meal, since everyone at table pretty much had completed meals by the time food arrived. Even though service slow , staff were pleasant.

Great patio spot with lots of parking and 5 minute drive from the airport. Traffic on Hunt Club can be a little noisy, but the brunch is well done and the service was prompt and friendly!

Nachos are off the charts. Super good and not short on cheese or meat.
