Great place for cocktails and a drink with friends! Had the “mommy’s little secret” -gin, radler, grenadine, which was delicious and very refreshing. Did not have any food but there was a food menu available. Its a consignment bar so all the decor is available for sale, the interior is really cute. Will definitely be coming back :)

From Montreal and took a drive to Ottawa! Went in for a drink and ended up with a whole experience. It was Monday game night, busy and the amazing staff still managed to accommodate us. I wish I could remember the staffs names. But whoever works on Monday - they’re amazing!!! We had the most delicious hot dog ever, the snacks were as on point as the drinks, I tried both of the mules on their menu and they did not disappoint. My friends were super excited there were beans in the Cesar! If you’re looking for something casual & fun with really good drinks this is your spot!

Such a nice place. I came across this place and ordered a drink Mommy’s Little Secret. It was recommended by the server after explaining what I like and dislike. The cocktail was possibly one of my favorites. I would try here again definitely.

Awesome decor and atmosphere for drinks. They have things on consignment for sale. Got the pineapple mule which was so tasty and the jalapeño infused tequila cocktail which was good just not my favourite.

What a little gem! This place is great! It almost seems out of place for Ottawa. The staff were great, they have a decent cocktail menu and I loved the decor. I’d love to see what the patio is like in the summer! Will definitely be back for trivia as well!! Great job, guys!

This place is such a hidden gem. We found this place on Instagram, and we were a bit iffy. I’m so glad we decided to go. The concept is super homey: the interior looks like the inside of a vintage home. The music is great. The best deal? $8 for a stubbie and a shot. You can’t find that anywhere else in Ottawa. We went here once, and now it’s our weekend spot.

Very nice, quaint place for drinks and food. The blonde waitress I had (didn't catch her name) was super nice and knew the menu well and gave great suggestions! (and was quite cute)

Awesome atmosphere. Played some board games (they have a bunch for you to use). Food was really good. Everything we ordered was very good and fairly priced. Ordered the Moscow mule and was super impressed, great balance of ginger beer and rum. Great for getting together with a group of friends!

Happy hour all the time, Very good service, affordable drinks. Go see Mary, Fridays and Saturdays it's the bomb. Cause she's there. Also they own the pancake flapjack Shack down the street and they rent great apartments around town.

Cozy environment and a super chill place. A cute little consignment bar with strange trinkets, and everything are for sale — definitely a unique place in Ottawa. The cocktails are also awesome — and they have a well-priced beer & shot special (all for $9!). The bartenders here are fantastic and will definitely remember you after a couple of visits. A fantastic place to visit, hang out, and have a few laughs with the regulars and bartenders.

This is a great spot to come by any time of the week! Great prices, friendly staff, as well as awesome and genuine service every time I've gone. If you haven’t been yet your already missing out. They have nice little patio as well to enjoy a drink while the sun is going down!

Been here many times and have always received nothing but stellar, warm, hospitable service from all the staff. Mary, Tina and Sam are absolutely amazing and make you feel like family every time you come in. If I could rate this place 6 stars I would. Hidden gem full of gems.

Nice little bar near the Chinatown neighborhood. Monday night trivia is great and trivia master is hilarious. Their format is different on that the top three teams of each round qualifies for the lightning round with one representative of each team. The last remaining rep wins a prize for their team. Topics are general and cover everything. Lastly, good selection of food and beverages.

Had a second date here and can only say thank you! Our server was so kind -- my friend needed to charge his phone and the server lent him her own charger for the duration of the evening, and checked on us consistently. It's a tiny bar but super cozy and cute. The cocktails are SO good, the music is loud but in good taste.... The tater poutine is guilt-inducingly good. I came here in the summer and sat outside (covid) but was so glad for the high-top inside. Will definitely be back. Thanks!!

Great times all the time at Ward 14. The staff is always on their game and the warm friendly atmosphere is welcoming as soon as you walk in the door.

This place was rad. Sort of like if you turned a 50s diner into a cocktail bar. We turned up later (for us anyway, 1100) and the place was jumping. Very competent bartenders, ordered by flavour and was very happy with result. Maybe could use an extra set of hands, I would have liked to have seen my server (a lovely woman who both took my order and made my drink) more often.

Great space, good vibe, service was lacking. Total 10 people in the space, server sat down with their friends or regulars, which is fair, but also maintain your paying guests. After not getting paid attention to (after already being seated with drinks, now empty) walked up to the bar to have the “bartender” get up from a table with other guests, to stand behind the bar and scroll through his phone before acknowledging me. Huge potential in this place but lacking basic service standards!

Ward 14 is one of my favourite bars in Ottawa! The staff is extremely friendly, the drinks are delicious and the decor is so fun! Also, you can purchase all of the decor as it's a consignment bar. (I have a few items from them!) It's an amazing time and I can't wait to go back.

Excellent tunes and eclectic atmosphere. The cocktails are unpretentious but well curated and very tasty. Snacks are limited but it adds to the vibe of the place, I like that it's pretty much a straight up chill cocktail lounge.

Love having this place near by. We went for a couple cocktails (I got two old fashioneds), while my spouse got Moscow Mules. I tried his, and they were exceptional. I've been here to have a poutine once upon a time and I enjoyed it. It's walk in only FYI!

My friend Justin LOVES this place and so takes us there often, which is great because it's a really nice place. So cool watching the fire station from the patio.

Really cool spot in Little Italy. Great drink prices: special of a local lager+ bar rail shot for $9 every day at all hours. In my 19 years of living around here, I can confidently say that Mary and Tina are two of the best servers in downtown Ottawa, with great taste in music! They took great care of our group of 5 - 7 people. Looking forward to going back again soon. Updated October 15, 2022: they now have hot dogs and other small snacks. The Ward 14 dog with sauerkraut, banana peppers and mustard with a side of kettle chips was pretty tasty.

Really cool low-key atmosphere and a great speakeasy vibe for some drinks. Its a consignment shop with the items spread around, which makes this an interesting place for great conversations. The servers are fantastic!

Had an amazing time at WARD 14, very aesthetic bar with fun drinks and the most friendly staff and owner. Followed COVID-19 rules efficiently and the tater tot poutine is to die for. Highly recommend for a good time with a couple of friends.

Was looking forward to a drink in this highly rated bar! Unfortunately the service ruined what was a perfect evening. Came in the bar to ask about how long a table would be. We were met with an unreasonable attitude from petulant servers. As someone who suffers from dylexia, I don't appreciate being asked if "I can read" from the service staff. After this, the server was more than capable of letting their friends enter for a table. I'd appreciate some consideration towards waiting patrons in the future so that potential customers aren't made to feel unwelcome.

writing this in COVID times but would still +++ recommend to go. They have an outdoor patio now too. Just a great spot to chill. Prices reasonable for beers. Food is decent at best but that's not really the point of this bar is it? I tried their pogo and tater tot poutine. pretty passable. But beers and ambience! yes.

Awesome atmosphere. Played some games and drank a bit too much :) The place has a really great concept and the staff are very friendly. Everything we got was well priced and the service was on point. If you are in the area there are lots of great spots and Ward 14 makes a nice addition to little Italy.

Tiny, intimate bar in Ottawa's Little Italy. I stumbled into this place once and now it's one of my favourite places. Very laid-back staff, so service is absent sometimes, but that's part of the charm. You come here to chat and make friends, not expect A+ service. Prices are great. There are tons of board games which keep you occupied. You can purchase everything in the bar - I've gotten some nice candle holders. I'm not sure if you could donate your things but if you could that would be great.

Solid food, amazing decor and theme... I often try to sit near a board of pins and just stare at them. The prices are great, and they often have a good deal on the board. A spot I would definitely recommend for a date night.

We have gone to Ward 14 more than a few times and we have never been disappointed with seating inside or out, the service or the refreshments. Recently, we brought some out of town colleagues on a busy Friday night and they were extremely enamoured by the whole experience. We meant to go for one round of cocktails after dinner and ended up staying for the rest of the evening because they were having such a great time. We haven’t had the opportunity to attend the Trivia nights but we are anxious to finally get in for one as we have heard they are super fun!! Thank you again and see you soon!
