This review is karaoke based, as I did not get anything at the bar. If you're fluent in Korean, you'll have an easy time navigating the menus and displays, because it's entirely Korean. Moderate selection of songs, but the backing tracks are pretty lacking. You'll occasionally get a classic song that is cut short to less than a minute. Stairway to Heaven was only the into and one verse, then it was over. The system also will sometimes skip songs in the queue, and the backing videos are all over the place. We were singing Brown Eyed Girl while watching a korean man with a headwound bleed out on the floor of his apartment. Rooms are a bit dingy, but hey, at least the mics work. Employees are nice and professional.

If I could give negative stars I would. Don't show up here expecting to karaoke on your own. I wasn't aware it was only private rooms, but I didn't even get to find out. They told me upon entering that they were closing...it was 8pm....I thought at first it was because I was a "Brown hair round eye", I now don't think it was a racial thing at all, I just think it was the fact they capitalize on renting rooms to groups and don't want to occupy a room if they aren't racking up a bill of overpriced drinks on a group of partiers..I won't be back...not even with a group...there are other fine karaoke spots around town that don't mind handing the mic to an individual. Bad business model, and from the reviews, I feel I probably dodged a bullet anyhow...since they have a weak western music selection. Go North Korea!

I want to love this place but there’s certainly some improvements they can make. The hodgepodge android system they use for queueing songs is pretty awful to deal with. Between having a limited song selection or no lyrics on songs it’s difficult to find something to sing to. Also if you manage to get the built in android keyboard to pop up, good luck trying to get rid of it from your screen. The other part they need to give some love to is the washrooms. With two single bathrooms, there’s high traffic in a busy night and they quickly become a disaster, with clogged sinks and messy toilets it’s a little disappointing. All in all for karaoke I want to love this place because it has a great setup for private parties, but it just misses on some key aspects of a karaoke lounge.

This place is amazing, lovely staff and awesome selection of songs. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good night! Super friendly and awesome group karaoke!!

Such a nice karaoke place! Private rooms, nicely decorated. Good song selection, but limited to late 90s and I’d say mid past decade. There’s a bar and drinks are not too pricey as in most karaoke places. Make sure to book in advance otherwise you’ll be stuck at a long queue.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Karakoke bar. A group of friends and I were all looking for a place with karaoke and weren’t having any luck since it was the middle of the week. After some searching online I discovered VIP Karaoke bar and decided to try it with all my friends. We were all blown away by this place! There private rooms with comfy couches, great sound systems, multiple mics and a huge catalogue of music. The prices are very reasonable too! If you’re looking for karaoke in Ottawa, this is the place to go!!

I had so much fun here! Was a bit disappointed with the song selection as you can only search by song name.. but we had a ton of fun! Would also be better with bottle service as leaving the room constantly for drinks was annoying.

Place is hard to find (entrance in the lobby of korean bbq). Good selection of songs, but pretty old (up to 2010s). No food, that's fine. They only make simple mixed drinks (rhum & coke, vodka cran...) but were out of sprite. Service? Rude. We asked for a glass of water (cause you know, karaoke dries you up) and were rudely told "we aren't a restaurant" and were given two small glasses of water for 6 people. Honestly, go somewhere else...

Great service, nice alchool selection. Has an oldschool feel to the place. Music selection isn't ultra up to date (that's why it didn't feel right to give 5 stars) They have a decent selection of english and japanese songs and a massive selection of korean songs.

Great customer service & great atmosphere. The karaoke rooms are pretty big and clean and reasonable price for drinks and karaoke. Overall it was a great experience.

I came with some white homies (happy birthday Heather) and they ripped the damn door handle clean off the door. The manager was so patient and understanding. Peach soju still rocks. Best karaoke spot in 100 km radius

Had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful, rates for the room was reasonable. The microphones sounded really good and the rooms were half decently sound proofed, couldn't hear anyone around us. The software is of course in Korean but we figured it out. Some of the songs we wanted weren't there but overall not a bad selection. Strange background videos but wasn't bad. Overall had a blast.

Not the cleanest place, but we had an amazing time celebrating my boyfriends birthday. We were in a 15 person sized room, it did feel a bit cramped for the 15 of us, but we managed alright. Cost was $170 for the 15 person room for 5 hours. We were able to decorate and bring in a cake (with our own utensils and plates) we had to purchase our alcohol, but prices were reasonable. Would reccomend.

One of my favourite places in Ottawa. Booth style private karaoke. Smaller songbook, but still lots of fun. Have never not had a great time here.

Great place for private karaoke! The machine is fairly easy to figure out and drinks were amazing. It is a little on the expensive side so come with a big group to split the cost!

Had fun with friends going here! The room seemed a bit sketchy though and probably needs to be redone. Make sure to eat before you go cause there isn't any. Though they do have some drinks they are from the fridge. Some of the english songs also don't have the correct lyrics. It's is nice though that you fo get your very own room to enjoy singing with friends! I would be too embarrassed to sing in a crowd but with a small group of friends it wS fun!

Good place overall. The keyboard is not in English. You need to search for pop songs in a book which is kind of inconvenient and time consuming.

Everyone had a great time. Got the room for 3 hours. Just enough time for our group of 9 to enjoy. Good selection of music, tech was easy to use. Drinks were a bit pricey but not a big thing.

Always have fun here. The rooms are perfect for small-large groups. Don’t expect this place to be luxurious, it’s a little dive and it’s perfect for just having fun. Would recommend coming here and the staff are very nice.

This place is good if you expect an "authentic hole-in-the-wall Karaoke club" vibe. That being said, the booking is a bit disorganized and unclear (btw max 4 hour booking); the song selection does not include any songs from the last 10 years (or Country songs to my friend dismay); the video graphics are odd and often don't match the song's aesthetics; and the rooms could definitely use some fresh wallpaper as well as a few additional amenities like a place to put your coats, a garbage bin etc. Nevertheless, a good and memorable activity if you're super drunk or looking to participate in Karaoke without a large crowd ! 👍🏼

So. Much. Fun. Private rooms so you don't have to humiliate yourself in public. There's a learning curve to the machine so we needed help a couple of times and we should have gone for 2 hours instead of one but it was so amazing!! Great way to blow off steam. I'll definitely go again (and often!)

Fun karaoke bar. I would give it 5 stars but the keyboard was in Korean, and no real instructions were given, so it caused a fair bit of confusion st the beginning. Other then that it was really good.

Just great place for birthday party

Fun place to go have a good time. You can rent a room for a party and they have a great selection of music to sing to. Best come with a list of songs you might want to sing, as time flies when you have a good time.

We had a good time, but that was despite the venue really. The owner forgot he had a reservation for us and didn't show up until half an hour later (which is half an hour later than the place was supposed to open in the first place). Then he was grumpy the rest of the night when anyone went out to get drinks or whatever. The spot was really dingy too with holes in the walls and packing tape holding up the wallpaper. It's also totally inaccessible with a steep staircase that makes it hard or impossible for anyone with mobility issues. We'll definitely opt for a different spot in the future.

Had a great time! Beware cause it gets busy in the evenings; book more time than you think you'll need! There were some songs I'd love to see added, but they do have a huge selection. The videos in the background compared the music/lyrics were phenomenally funny. Will go again!

Great song selection, system and bar! Choosing tracks by artist would be great but there's plenty of tracks to choose from.

The English songs were sooo limited (it’s mostly Korean or 80s), a few light bulbs were out in the room, and the couch was old and kinda ripped. But we still had a blast because it’s private and sound proof!

Lack of communication for not telling me before that I booked for then to charge me every minute by staying in the room instead of saying that they go between the times. We will not be returning again.

VIP means you get a private room for your group, which is nice. However the groups that came before you smashed holes in the walls. Look around for the tambourine, which will enhance your experience at least 3 fold.

Good Fun for the whole Crew...however...the temperatures in there are wayy too hot to enjoy the whole experience, plz equip the rooms with Individual Fans ...just sayin'

Place seems to be falling apart, boards falling off walls inside rooms, went in with credit card, place doesn't run tabs off cc, I had to make multiple transactions off my cc to buy drinks, needless to say, I would have spent more money if I could have ran a tab, and pay when I was done. On the bright side, great selection of music.

Seemed sketchy when you get there but we had a great time, the hour flew by so fast! Went with some girlfriends and sang our heart out. It's also super cheap when you go in a group.
