We were looking for a lite bite and popped in this place. We were super to find they had happy hour selections. We ended up ordering a pitcher of their sangria and getting a half price pepperoni pizza. Both were fantastic. It was a great find; delicious, nice ambiance, & great price. Hope we can make it back during our stay.

We ordered the pesto pizza and the margarita pizza. I personally prefer a crispier crust but that is completely opinion based. The flavors were excellent (pesto pizza was a tiny bit bland but still good) and the service was great. Pro tip. Get there between 3pm & 6pm on a weekday and get 1/2 price on select pizza, $5 beer and $20 pitcher of sangria. We opted for the $20 pitcher of sangria, vacation move.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Served the best pizza I have ever had! I will definitely be going back again. It is on the higher end, price wise, but definitely worth going. The also have "Market hours between 1500-1800, where most menu items are 50% off. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Byward Market Photos are of the Pesto pizza

The restaurant is located in the middle of Byward Market. The food was absolutely amazing! The pizza was wood oven pizza which is very delicious, the pasta was good too. All foods were just about right. The server was very nice and professional. We really enjoyed the food and definitely re-visit next time!

Absolutely loveeee their pizzas, pastas and the meatballs in marinara sauce. It was so delicious and great flavours. Quality of food and the overall experience was great!! Thank you so much for serving wonderful food in our community :)

Super nice place, tasty food and very professional service. When we arrived the restaurant was full but they kept our name and we came back about 10 minutes later. The pizza, fries and calamari were delicious. The only thing I didn't like too much was the caesar salad as there was no chicken and the bacon didn't taste good (I think it's the bacon you buy already cooked and chopped). It's kid friendly too, there's a kids menu and they give things to draw.

Stopped here for a late supper. Excellent service, delicious food, and pet friendly! We were able to bring our dog to the patio table which made life a lot easier. And their red sangria is amazing, FYI.

The Grand has an excellent pizza and surprising Italian nachos - it is really good. The food came fast on Canada Day and was delicious. Our server Dante attended to us quickly and gave excellent service. We will be back as everything was perfect.

Great restaurant for Italian flavours. The staff is hospitable and positive. The queue outside the restaurant was long but luckily they checked smaller groups (like my wife and me) and we got a table quickly. We ordered a pizza and pasta. The pizza was wood fired and it was amazing. The dough, sauce and the vegetables were of a great quality. Kudos to the chef 🧑‍🍳 for the awesome pizza. The pasta on the other hand has some scope for improvement. The rigatoni should have been boiled for a few minutes longer since it was crunch. The chicken needed some additional flavour. I would suggest to make the chicken optional because the sauce and other ingredients were perfect.

Great pizza, Neapolitan style! had the gluten-free and the rest of the gang had regular dough, all were very impressed. We actually ended up going back the following day. We were not very impressed with the service on the first night. We ended up having to wait a long time for the bill after asking for it multiple times. The drinks arrived well after our pizza were served and started eating. We were never checked on and were not offered any sauces or other services. The second day we had a very different experience. Our waitress was great 👍 The place is large and great, I enjoyed both the internal decor and the patio.

Came in after being recommended by a family member. It’s a nice spot around ByWard Market. I love trying Calamari everywhere I go, but I feel like the calamari here is missing something. Maybe there could be more seasoning to enhance the flavour? The pasta came out fresh and was hot. Smelled great and tasted even better! The portions are also good and I even took some home because I couldn’t finish it all. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was a hot day out so I ate inside with my friend. It was definitely tastefully styled inside. Wait staff was nice and periodically checked back on our table. Besides the calamari, nothing I can really complain about and will definitely return when I’m back!

Ate at this pizzeria couple of times in the last 2 months and absolutely loved it! Their pizzas are wood fired and absolutely amazing. Had the pappardelle pasta with sausage which was very well made. Even the pizzas, Meat lovers and the chicken one were good! A must try is their Hot Sauce! It has a yummy garlic flavour in addition to of course, being hot 🔥

Great place to stop for lunch at Byward Market. Sat on the patio with the dog (yes it's dog friendly!) Had the meatball appetizer, meat lovers pizza, and a pitcher of cool beer. Pizza was delicious, I'd get it again. The meatballs however.. For $16 you get 5 smallish meatballs. Not worth the price and the basil slices it was served with were brown and withered. This is a $9 dish, not $16. No complaints with the beer or anything else.

AMAZING FOOD! AMAZING SERVICE! Loved the vibe this place has. And OMG THE PIZZA IS SUPERB! Not to mention their hot sauce! We bought 2 after our meal 🤣 wish this place was in Mississauga. A must to eat when in Ottawa

Been here a few times over the years that a review is due. The place is Consistent and Busy. Good service given the overflow of tourists. Location, location, location means you pay 'tourist' prices for the food but hey, enjoy life. The food is overall good. The pizzas they make? do it.

Great neopolitan pizzas here ! I haven't had many in Ottawa but I'd still call these the best in town. The pizza was done to perfection and tastes amazing. I could do nothing but think how good the pizza was all day ! My favourite was the Pesto pizza 💚 Credits to their own hot sauce as well ! 🔥 It's nice that the patios are open again I hope more and more people will come to enjoy a proper slice of pizza chilli at the patio. Beautiful atmosphere in and outside the restaurant and the staff is very knowledgeable about what they do while being super nice to customers. A must go to place in downtown.

This OG location in the Byward market is still going strong. Really well executed pizzas and drinks, with a great centrally located sidewalk patio. Something like 3 out of 4 tables around us ordered nachos, so those must be a big hit as well.

I enjoyed my time here and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their Wood Fire Pizzas. Service was a bit slow to order, but they seemed busy, so that's fine. However, the food did come over pretty quick. The interior of the restaurant is a bit too dark for my liking, I even saw several people using their phones to light up the menus to see better. Overall, the food was great, and I enjoyed myself. I recommend getting their Chili sauce and oil on the side of your pizza and to come during their Market Hours where you can get certain pizzas for half off.

Food is good, especially the meatballs and spaghetti. Bruschetta was good although the parmesan didn't taste of much. I would have given it 5 stars, but the 4 cheese pizza is so bland I thought it was a margarita. Will have eat this ever again. Definitely not grand. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We sat outside which we really liked as it was sunny.

The margharita pizza 🍕 is pretty good the fries too, did not like the veggie pizza and the cheeseburger.. my son took cheeseburger with bun cheese and meat wasn’t good 👎 the fries are good though Anyway the service was very kind and friendly a bit quick to see people leave The outdoor is great you can see the by-ward market Not that bad of an experience but wouldn’t go again

Had dinner at the grand dueing our visit to Ottawa. It took about 45 mins of wait to get seated on the patio. Our server was very slow and took forever to take the order and get us the food. We even saw a few other tables who came after us got their food way before we did. The pizzas and pastas were good and served hot which made up for the service. Hopefully on a different day would have had a better experience.

If you go during market hours, 3-6pm I believe, a good selection of the pizzas and drinks are half price. I would in all honesty have no issues paying full price though the pizza is that good. Good also came very quick. Add the basil pesto drizzled on top to your pizza if it doesn’t already have it, you won’t be disappointed.

After trying most things on their menu, I’ve decided that I’ll only return for the pizza. Recently we had the calamari as an appetizer which was well seasoned but could’ve been served with a more interesting sauce. The pizza is always a hit and you can get certain ones for 1/2 price with any drink - doesn’t have to be alcoholic! Love the unlimited hot sauce and parm as well. Service needs improvement though - our server took almost 20 minutes to bring us our bill. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and I saw 3 servers just standing around chatting...

Nice patio but was too hot to air outside. The tables inside were cramped. The servers was helpful and pleasant. The drink specials before 6 were a nice touch. Next time will get the sangria pitcher for sure. The pizza was yummy as was the boneless chicken bites.

One of our favourite places and a must to visit when we come to Ottawa. Service has always been excellent as well as food quality/taste. It's usually busy (which is a good thing) - we've had to wait on some occasions (usually during peak business hours) and other times we got seated right away. Food pricing is on par for what you getting (imo). Thank you again for another awesome visit, looks forward to the next! 😃 Also, make sure to take home a jar of their homemade hot sauce! 🔥

First time being in Ottawa with a group of friends and we all want here. Everyone enjoyed their meals specially me, the Shrimp Linguine was very delicious and I could possibly eat this all the time! The service was great and the atmosphere was nice as well. I’ll definitely come back again when I’m in the area!

Well organized Italian food restaurant. It is more on touristic side restaurant with high volume turn around place, then the usual Italian restaurant. However, the pastas and pizza were excellent taste. Reccomend.

Always great food, pizza crust is perfectly chard, love the patio as it's always inviting. I'm a regular, my go to place when I host meetings with clients. Staff is always friendly, service is on time and impeccable!

It was an amazing experience. The food was delicious and my first bite remind me my Italy trip and original tasteful Italian oven pizza. Service was great and so helpful stuff working there. Love the place because they have unique hot sauce and bought one jar of it ($6). It could be the best homemade hot sauce ever. We got our table without waiting. I would definitely recommend you to go there and have some great food with your family and friends.

Super helpful staff.. We ordered for two pizza, some nachos and two kind of deserts (Tiramisu and Affogato) together. We got the appetizers really fast. While waiting for the pizza we realized we had to leave really fast if we were to make to our next attraction for river cruise. We requested the staff to pack the pizza for takeout and get our deserts fast. They were super helpful, got our pizza in minutes gave our deserts in a short time as well. Both were really awesome.

Quick to get a table. Server was friendly and great. Pizzas are pricey but really good. I recommend the Sofia (vegetarian, goat cheese, sun dried tomato), Tuscan chicken and Mercato (arugula/prosciutto)pizzas. Appetizers are decent.

Premium location, and accessibility. Parking is always an issue here. It's always busy, expect to wait for a table. Service was good, selection and taste were wonderful. Prices are a little steep but to be expected. Overall a good experience.
