This is the best breakfast/brunch I have ever had. Not sure I’ll ever want to go anywhere else!! Worth the wait - you can put your name down and come back. Where to start? From the service to the mismatched utensils and plates, everything was wonderful. Tried the Jerk Benny and got the Mac and Cheese and smashed potatoes as sides and I left in a food coma and also excited to talk about this amazing place to anyone that will listen. Amazing flavours, portions and presentation. They have amazing non-pork options as well as veggie options!

The BEST Brunch Spot in Ottawa! They always have a wait, so go early or be prepared to wait but believe me, it is worth the wait. Our server was absolutely fantastic. She was jovial and shared great recommendations to my family. Thank you Chesterfield’s Gastro Diner! Whenever we come to Ottawa, we are only going to dine with you for Brunch!

Came in for brunch today and everything was incredible! Adorable decoration, top notch food and service, truly like nothing else in Ottawa. Our server Disco provided unique and fun service. She is truly a gem at what she does. The staff seem genuinely happy to be there and treat you like family. Now the food and drinks…. Their chilled coffee is the best I’ve had in Ottawa. And the Bloody Caesar… they make their own special mix in house for the rim which truly makes the drink. I had the Steak Hash Leclaire and my boyfriend had the High Stales Benny with sides of course and it was so mouthwatering every bite. At the end we had to leave with a to go box. Can’t wait for my next brunch there! Thank you to all the staff!

Chesterfield's is a unique little place located in Westboro that serves up quite the mouth watering brunch menu. They are open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 2pm, so get there early. They do not take reservations but have a great system in place, so you're not standing in a line. My sister Marg has raved about Chesterfields, and I was finally able to go. I was not disappointed! I ordered the Eggs Benny with sausage on an English muffin with roasted spuds along with a specialty side Blueberry Pancake, which was out of this world. So tasty and prepared to perfection. My whole meal was incredibly delicious. The staff is very friendly, the service is fast, and the chefs are super talented, so Thank You All for a fantastic meal, I will be back to try more of your awesome menu.

This was the BEST BREAKFAST of my LIFE and I’ve been on this earth for a few decades now. Dayyyummmmm! The Spice Girl benny has stolen my heart forever ❤️❤️❤️ The sweet of the pineapple and plantain, the umami of the egg, the salty of the cornbread and the delicious jerk flavour could make anyone feel whole and happy. Yes, there is always a line… but who cares? Just come early! You don’t wanna miss this 🤩

This is one of the best brunch I have ever had. Everything was tasty, and cooked to perfection. The menu has a good variety for selection. And the service was incredible. The only small inconvenience is that the place is small so even if you go early most probably you’ll have to wait, however it is worthy it. Me and bf went at 11, we were told the waiting time was like an hour and a half, however we decided to wait, and we got a place in less than an hour. We ordered the Israeli board, chicken and waffles, and a blubbery pancake and everything was delicious and the prices reasonable. I can’t wait to go again. However, have in mind that if you want to go for mimosas those are a bit pricey. They should add a bottomless mimosas. But besides that do not hesitate to go.

Great place for brunch! The food was absolutely delicious + some unique menu items. Eggs were exquisite. Disco was lovely and provided excellent service; staff was overall great. The place is pretty small/cozy with a relaxed/casual hipster vibe. If going in the winter, dress a bit more warmly as the door is always open because this place is so busy so the cold air gets in. We waited 1h for our table on a Saturday. Would love to return

First come, first served, no reservations here at this tiny eatery. They open at 9 and you MUST get in line by 8:15/8:30am to be one of the first to snag a coveted table or the wait can be close to 2-3 hours long. I don't say this often but this wait for sure is worth it!!!! Owned by a husband and wife duo who opened shop 8 years ago and have come up with every delicious Egg Benny combo you can think of! Their exec chef has been with them for just over a year now and I believe he's a keeper after sampling his special Benny of the day that involved lamb chorizo in the mix. Practically ordered all of the customer and staff favorite menu items and the stand out for us were: Tijuana Nights Benny "Special of the week": I usually don't feature the special of the week as a gave because who knows if any egen it comes back but this one was worth noting! The gamey, slightly spicy lamb chorizo worked really well with the chipotle Holly (aka hollandaise), goat cheese guac, fresh jalapenos and a dusting of flaming hot Cheetos! I know sounds nuts but it all came together beautifully! Foghorn Leghorn: the air fried chicken was perfectly crispy Pan Ranchero: this one was my fave, packed with so much flavor that all melded well together, just needed more tortilla chips. Jerk Benny: Mild jerk flavor so good for those who usually can't take spice Steak Hash LeClaire: This one was a solid just good. Steak was cooked too a nice medium but was a bit chewy. Bird's Nest: Our tables most favorite... Come on potato cake STUFFED with cheese curd... Need I say more? Service was fantastic and our water and coffee cups never were without either without us having to ask or flag someone down. Is it worth this kind of hype? Yes, yes it is to wait in line 30 min before they open again!

The service provided was exceptional! The waitress attending our table was incredibly friendly and attentive. We had brunch and it was amazing we loved the food and the atmosphere. You have to go early before opening otherwise you may have to wait.

Incredible food and staff! I am speechless about the service and the amazing food quality here. I went on a Thursday morning and was seated right away. I ordered the jerk benny, mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was 11/10. And don’t even get me started about their coffee. Best brunch in Ottawa no question!

This place is killer. It super far from where I live, but now that I've tried it I know it's 1000% worth the drive. Will be back soon! I had the Birds Nest with Buffalo Cauliflower, companion had the special which was chicken and waffle Benedict. Both delicious. Fast friendly service. Probably the best breakfast or brunch I've ever had.

Everything we tried here was absolutely delicious. Absolutely loved the pancakes, mango plantain salsa, cauliflower!! The fun guy dish was also amazing. The iced coffee was average but nothing to complain about when rest of the food is so epic.

Absolutely excellent brunch experience. I’m among those who thing that serving food in small cast iron pans makes it 10% better. But this grub didn’t need annnny help. Delicious Bennys and Brussels for me, and the plantains were really new and interesting. To me. Will be coming back.

There's only 3 words to describe this place... WORTH.THE.WAIT! Since the moment you walk in, you're met with a welcoming, cool atmosphere & extremely friendly staff. The food is beyond exceptional! Everything is fresh & homemade with vibrant colours and fantastic plating. Chesterfield's is by far our families favourite brunch spot we've found to date. The only drawback, is that it's on the smaller side, so no matter what time you plan on going, be prepared to wait at least an hour (in our experience). But I kid you not, you will not regret the wait! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Best brunch I’ve had in Ottawa in years. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The pancake had a crisp amount the edges/light and fluffy in the middle I’ve never been able to pull off myself. The Brussels and Mac and cheese, also outstanding. Will be back.

Chesterfield's Gastro Diner is a cute popular brunch spot located in the Wellington Village neighbourhood in the west end of Ottawa. The restaurant has a casual family diner look with a relaxed atmosphere.  The restaurant doesn't take reservations, so seating is on a first come first serve basis. I visited the restaurant on a Thursday afternoon and waited about 15 minutes to be seated, and would expect wait times to be much longer during weekend peak periods. The waitress who served my table was courteous and sociable. The service she provided overall was great. The timing of when we got seated, had our orders taken, and had our food served was just right. I ordered the Steak Hash Leclair and a Chilled Sweet Tea during my visit and thought the presentation was beautiful. The steak hash was a little over seasoned in my opinion, and I found the beef a little tough but still enjoyed my meal. The brussel sprouts were especially delicious.

Chesterfield’s is a cute little restaurant in Wellington West. People were raving about it and I was excited to try it. They don’t take reservations and the wait can be anywhere from 45-90 mins for brunch. The service once we got inside was fantastic. Brunch was good but it wasn’t amazing. My pancake, mac and cheese and iced coffee were good. But the jerk chicken egg dish was ok. It was a bit cold and I wasn’t a fan of the flavors together. I also didn’t really get the jerk flavor from the chicken. The consistency of the dish was a bit mushy as well. But I may be an outlier because everyone else at my table who ordered it enjoyed it.

Best brunch ever! Staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Fresh orange juice was awesome to start. and the classic brunch plate was literally perfect. Egg was perfect, bacon was perfect, grilled potato was perfect, hollandaise sauce was perfect. I was very happy with every bite of it!

Arrived 15 mins before opening on a Sunday morning and joined the pre-established line. The staff are simply wonderful; super personable and friendly. The space, although welcoming, is quite small so I’d advise against big groups. No fancy espresso drinks found here and your meal is served on a medley of flatware and mugs to the style of grandma’s kitchen. The best thing about this place is the ability to pick from a wide assortment of sides. Sometimes you just can’t choose between sweet and savoury! So order your savoury dish and tack on a pancake! Breakfast slider and cheesy potato side was not particularly special but the blueberry pancake? That was a game changer. If you like poffertjes, this pancake is for you. Jerk chicken benny is well-constructed with a good combination of textures and flavours. Coffee unfortunately was fairly weak though. Overall, I’d realistically give this restaurant 4.5 stars.

Chesterfields is a small but cool space. We went during the week and there was still a line at opening and a line through when we left. This place is extremely popular and we found out why. The food was extremely good, they give generous portions, their coffee was fantastic quality, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We’d absolutely come back.

Easily one of THE best brunch spots in all of Ottawa, and probably my personal favourite! The staff is warm, the atmosphere and decor are really nice, and above all else the food is just phenomenally good. I’ve never tried anything from their menu that wasn’t absolutely delicious. I really enjoy that so many of Chesterfield’s menu items are inspired by comforting southern staples, but they’re always incorporated in unique and refreshing ways that keep the food feeling like their very own. Getting a table requires a bit of time and patience, since they don’t accept reservations, but it’s absolutely worth it. One of my favourite things to do is bring new friends to this brunch spot and see their faces light up when they take that first bite!

Third time here, first time actually trying it. This place is in high demand and they don’t take reservations. You can order out. The food is amazing. But the atmosphere and presentation is worth it in person at the diner. Drove a long ways (7 hours) to get there for 8:30am on a Friday and the place opens at 9, and there was a lineup already. But this time nothing was gonna stop me from trying it. I had the air fried chicken poached eggs Benedict (delicious), and my friend had the Jerk Chicken eggs Benedict as well as the poutine, and we both were full and very satisfied. I also tried their fresh orange juice. Even though the glass was small, the juice is 1000% orange juice. So I highly recommend this place but be ware that there is almost always a lineup or wait. Parking is very limited. There is a metro across the street, but it says customer parking only. So main parking is on the street.

The best brunch spot I’ve been to in forever. The service was impeccable, the food is absolutely outstanding. Also, I know it may be a small thing, but their juice is fresh pressed making mimosa extra tasty. Will be going back soon enough! I would suggest this joint to absolutely everyone, a must try in Ottawa.

I recently visited Chesterfield's Gestro Diner for brunch and was pleased with the experience overall. The standout dishes for me were the Jerk Benny and Classic Benny, both of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. I also appreciated the potato cheesy Cake and Fruit Plate sides, which provided a nice balance of savory and sweet flavors. The only downside was the relatively long wait time of around one hour, but given the quality of the food, it was understandable. Plus, the prices were reasonable for the quality of the dishes. One thing to note is that the restaurant doesn't have tables for groups larger than six people, so keep that in mind if you're planning a group outing. Overall, I would recommend Chesterfield's Gestro Diner for brunch and look forward to returning in the future.

The wait was long on a Friday morning (2 hours reduced to 30min after multiple cancellations) but genuinely worth it. This might have been the best meal of my life. The orange juice was fresh and not too sweet. I had the Spicy Girl Benedict and the flavors complemented each other very well. The Jerk Chicken Benedict was great as well. The pancake was incredibly fluffy. 10/10

Chesterfield is the spot for brunch in all Ontario, as I travel to Ottawa every three months for trips and make it a mandatory visit. The food at Chesterfield is uniquely different as they add new feature menu items, so you'll likely find something new. The service at Chesterfield is always kind and polite and gives you that vibe that they've known you forever even if you are new to Chesterfield. The restaurant is a bit small in size, so I would recommend getting there as early as possible, especially on weekends and expect a 30min-45min wait time.

One of the best brunches in Ottawa. Took about an hour to get a table for two but it’s always worth the wait. The service is always excellent and so is the food. The eggs Benedict are so delicious with the Brussel sprouts as a side! I also recommend the Apple cinnamon French toast and the fresh OJ.

Came here for Sunday breakfast, make sure to be here early or wait a long line! We got here shortly after they opened and there was already a full restaurant, it took about 45 min for our table. The service was quick and friendly. The food was so good and they have 26 different sides you can choose from! I need to come back to try more sides!

One of the best brunch places in Ottawa! We tried their mimosa. Though a simple drink to make, it was made to perfection! The foghorn leghorn Benny was just perfect. The poached eggs were made to perfection. The air fried chicken was great and so was their corn bread and bacon. The Brussel sprouts has just the right amount of garnish. The apple cinnamon French toast rounded off the meal as a perfect desert! I loved their bacon so much so that I asked for a serving of that with the apple cinnamon French toast. Definitely recommend this place!!

We went on a Thursday. There was no line but the restaurant filled up 15min after opening. We tried the Jamaican egg Benny and fried chicken Benny. Both were very good. We chose the apple cinnamon French toast as a side and it was delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. Follow my food insta: @lyliaxfood

We’ve been here countless times and if you’ve drive by, there is usually a line up to get in- it’s THAT good and well worth the wait. Pro tip is to be there right when it opens, particularly because the space inside got much smaller in seating capacity during Covid. Staff are super friendly and attentive, service is great and you don’t wait very long for your food. I almost order chicken and waffles every time and it’s so good! Highly recommend for a yummy brunch!

One of the best brunches I've ever had! If you're in the Ottawa area, you have to check this place out. Staff is really friendly, vibes are unpretentious, and the food is stellar. I had the Foghorn Leghorn Benny with the corn bread and the jerk plantains & mango salsa. That had to be the best cornbread I've ever tasted - so yummy!

  • 5/5 Jiadi W. 2 years ago on Google
It’s the best brunch in Ottawa!! We waited 45mins but it worth for the waiting! Jamaican Benny is not in the top 10 hits but I encourage to give it a try!!! Also highly recommend the special side: mushroom Rockefeller!!! Don’t miss it if you live mushrooms just like me!!

  • 5/5 Harshad K. 1 year ago on Google
Worth the wait. We were trying to get to this place since last year. Invariably something came up or we got too late to reach there. Must say the food was amazing. We tried some mimosas, the Fun Melt Guy and Spice Girls brunch. Melt guy is a refreshing mushroom and cheese treat while the spice girls is a lively egg and cornbread combo. Highly recommend this place for memorable brunches.

Food and service was excellent! Space is super tight and wait times are insane due to its popularity and limited seating. Also, no parking - only street parking in busy Westboro 😬 We went for Sunday brunch and waited an hour for a table. We walked around Westboro to kill time. But, food was excellent and price was fair. Would go again!
