Great spot in Westboro. We came here for a birthday, and the service was amazing. The waitress took care of us through drinks and dinner and surprised our friend with a lovely dessert. Food was unique, and flavourful.

Overall nice brunch. Went for brunch with my pals – we had avocado toast and burger, plus mimosa. For brunch it was barely anyone, so if you want to chat and not have many people around - that’s the place to go. Mimosa was not up to my liking, I prefer more bubbles and freshly pressed orange juice.

The vibe, service, and setting is great. The food although very filling and the quantity was large, we found the two dishes we ordered lacked flavour. Mostly tasted like butter and oil. Taste is personal thought and not sure if the chef or crew were just having a rough night given the other great reviews.

Great place! Food is so good I cannot wait to come back. My table ordered 3 different main courses and all of us enjoyed them. The portions are good size and reasonably priced. I’ll be definitely coming back more then once.

We recently celebrated a birthday here in their private event space, The White Room. The space was perfect, the service was amazing and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this space for a special event. Can’t wait to dine here again. The food is always amazing.

By far, one of the most underrated spots in Ottawa - highly recommend; excellent food and service!! If you are looking for a place that's got excellent quality food, great service, great wine / cocktails - this is it. 5/5 for sure. Very reasonable prices for high quality food.

Amazing time! The food was delicious and the waiter was so knowledgeable about the dishes. He was able to make excellent recommendations. Would definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere and solid wine list. Only comment is that the braised short rib could’ve been better. Very salty and the confit potatoes will always do the jus a disservice - mashed being the better play. Nice evening and not overly pricey regardless.

My friends and I had a branch in Wellington Gastropub last weekend. The place was barely occupied with hangry people. The food was okay. Avo sandwiches not their forte for sure. There is no alcohol detected in my mimosa. So I see a lot of space for improvement. Everything was regular except customer service.

Food was delicious! Service was a bit slow, took ages to get my beer! A nice selection for drinks, the food menu keeps changing and most of the dishes there are pretty good!

One of my favourite dining locations in Ottawa. Popped in for a birthday dinner with the gal of my life. Once again the food was amazing. The staff is incredibly well educated on both the food and the drink. Top notch start to finish. Apologies for the poor quality of the photo(s).

The service here was excellent! All the staff were very pleasant and assertive. The breakfast I ordered wasn't anything special. The potatoes, mushrooms and tomatoes were under seasoned and the french toasted was loaded with too much apple compote. However the seared halloumi in the beetroot salad was cooked perfectly.

For a nice low key night out. My bf and I went here for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised just how good the food was! I had the scallops. Tartar to start. Great cocktails and very friendly service.

My friend and I came here for dinner. I hadn't been here in a few years. The food was great. I had the duck and it was fabulous. Wine selection was good. We shared chocolate cake that was personalized for my birthday. Highly recommend.

The Wellington Gastropub is one of our « go to » restaurant for dinner. It never disappoints. This was our first time for brunch. It should come as no surprise, mimosas, lattes and food were well presented and simply delicious.

First time here and the food was unreal. Definitely worth the price. Food was flavourful and fresh, portions were large. Service was great and I loved the atmosphere and unique feel. Will be back!

Came in on a very busy dinner service on a Friday night, we were quickly and very friendly greeted by staff! Got sat almost immediately which was unexpected because they were so busy! :) Food was INCREDIBLE and everything we got was above average in taste and quality, some items we ordered were missing unfortunately so we didn’t get the chance to eat everything we ordered but things happen. We look forward to our next time there! Staff was beyond incredible.

Went here tonight with some friends and had a great time. The atmosphere is nice and the staff was very friendly! It does get kind of loud as they get more customers in throughout the night, and I found it hard to hear across the table mid-dinner. We also did find that the dishes were rather pricey for the portion you receive. I ordered the duck (6-pieces) and my partner ordered the smoked short rib which were both higher priced items on the menu. We both found that we were still hungry by the end of our meals. The drinks were also on the pricier side- but there were a lot of options to be fair! We are big into fine dining- but we personally won't be returning as there are better priced alternatives in the area. However, we did appreciate the experience!

The Wellington Gastropub is first rate - it delivers exceptionally solid quality food, a great menu and professional, friendly service. The Gastropub manages to find exactly the balance between a relaxed, warm atmosphere and elevated, quality cuisine. What makes all this even more remarkable is the consistency of the Wellington Gastropub - you can always rely on an exceptional meal and experience. I've had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant many times over the last 15 years and while various friendly faces have come and gone, the level of service and calibre of the food always remain superb. This is a tribute to the highly professional, attentive and talented management of this West Wellington gem. Even COVID doesn't get these people down - if anything, they have redoubled their enthusiasm, distinctive brand of warm hospitality and superb meals - on a recent visit, we enjoyed a truly exceptional tomato, onion and parmesan soup and what are undoubtedly the best scallops in town. Our compliments to the Wellington Gastropub team - take a bow!

Stopped here twice while in town on a work assignment. The food is stellar, absolutely wonderful, simple flavours!! The desserts are off the charts! Try the Dark Chocolate Pave AND the Sticky Toffee Pudding! The drinks were excellent! Besides the Talisker, Adam makes an incredible Whiskey Sour, cloud-like begins to describe it... well balanced and delicious! He also makes one hell of an Old Fashioned! The orange and bitters, perfectly executed! Mindy is a gem, friendly and sweet! She even gave me a copy of Edible Ottawa to peruse as I indulged in some of Ottawa’s finest food and drink! Make the time to stop by and have an experience!

Lovely meal at the Wellington gastropub pub. Covid measures followed. You will be asked to check in upon arrival. We had a gin gimlet and tooth and nail stout to drink -- both were good. The gimlet is a bit tart, but in a delightful way. We got the wheat and oat sour dough bread with whipped brown butter to start. It was so delicious we didn't get a chance to take a picture. For mains we opted to share the braised beef short ribs and gnocchi with delicata squash and cauliflower. Both were excellent and full of seasonal ingredients.

If you are in Ottawa you have to hit up the Wellington Gastropub. Had the…. Seared rainbow trout fillet with new potatoes, brown butter sauce, beets and buttermilk quark …..and a Baked Athabaska (Haskap berry ice cream on a vanilla sponge cake covered in a soft torched Italian Merengue) to finish. I haven’t had rainbow trout since I went fishing with John Miron near Trenton, ON 16+ years ago. Forgot how good it was with New Potatoes!

Excellent food and service with a great ambiance. Staff were exceptional. The braised beef and scallops mains were the highlights of our visit, but the menu changes regularly based on what foods are locally available. It gets busy, so make reservations and understand that the noise level will be high in the somewhat confined space. No doubt this only applies to seniors like myself.

Service was great but it did take a while for the main courses to be served - although it was eventually prepared to impeccable standard which definitely made up for the long wait. Fries and bread at the start are a must - for main courses I’ve had their vegetarian risotto and chicken; I would definitely recommend the chicken!

👍👍 5 stars for the whole experience. View is one of a kind. TV with sports. Glass window balcony over water. Old wood pub feel indoor. 👍 Very nice place, good service, great ginger beer. There are two reasons that prevented me from giving the 5-star rate: 1. My bill was not accurate (they were changing more). I'm glad I always check. 2. We made a reservation for the Superbowl because we saw online there were going to be raffles, giv...
