Queen St. Fare Food Court is the ultimate foodie hangout, where you'll find a little bit of everything under one roof. Tucked right in the heart of the city, it's a food paradise with a casual and friendly vibe. The space is cool and comfy, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. It's bright, which is mood-lifting, and you'll always find it buzzing during lunchtime. Now, let's talk grub. Mexican, coffee, pizza, salads, Vietnamese fusion, burgers – you name it, they've got it. Craving some spicy tacos? They've got you covered. Need a caffeine fix? Swing by the coffee bar. Want a slice of cheesy heaven? Pizza's on the menu. Trying to keep it healthy? The salads are fresh and tasty. And if you're feeling adventurous, the fusion Vietnamese dishes are a must-try. A great place to visit if you work downtown.

Their live music is the pits (think Nickelback), overpriced admission charge just to have a beer at the bar, door staff only takes cash (welcome to 2023) and to add insult to injury, they won't make change for a larger bill. Boooooo.

Biggie Smalls at 1:25 in the afternoon? Is this real life? Burrito was good, could have used a few more tortilla chips. Great atmosphere!

Great experience. Needed gas and they had it, good first start. They had the purple Gatorade which goes great with the Hindu Kush I was smoking on in the parking lot. All in all a very solid 10 minutes ... nice enough folks and I even used their bathroom to drop major science in. Bathroom was fairly clean, no used needles or anything like that....... wait a minute. I took lsd at this place....silly me.

This is such a cool take on your ordinary and boring mall or work-complex foodcourt. I was in downtown, and I decided to try this place out. I was gladly surprised by the variety of businesses in here: coffee, pizza, Mexican, and more. They also had a live jazz thing going on, so that was an added bonus. The free wifi is another plus. I cannot find anything negative to say about this place!

One of the best places to get a cheeseburger like it was homemade. The western style is my favourite! Crinkle cut fries are crisp and tasty especially with chipotle sauce.

Very nice place. Spacious, lots of seatings. High ceiling, lots of natural light. Connected to LRT's Parliament station. Enjoy free wifi and have a cup of coffee, beer, burger or pizza and more.

In side the SUN Life Financial on the ground floor with easy access to the Queen St.FARE Right is very quiet inside the food hall. WIDE SPACE ALL OVER FOR WALKERS/ WHEELCHAIRS. I would encourage everyone to help support this establishment from going under.

Mercadito 🌮 Two tacos for $13 and it comes with chips. You can choose between vegetarian (cauliflower), pork, chicken, beef, and fish. There was the burrito option for $13 as well. It looks better than it tastes, and wasn’t very filling. I wish there were more cauliflower, rather than a scoop of a mixture of cauliflower, rice, and beans. It would be nice if they used florets of cauliflower or larger pieces in general.

It's nice to see this place starting to get busy again. A great selection of foods from salads, burgers, pizza, Mexican, coffee to the well stocked bar. Prices seem a bit high at first, but considering the venue, location and the quality of the food it feels like you're getting value for your money.

Nice live music venue. Live jazz bands playing every Wednesday night from 7-10 pm. No cover. Most food stalls are still closed except mercando and burger place. Hopefully everything will open shortly.

Always impressed by Queen St. Fare. Tables are clean, the restaurants are quick and nice, and the vibe is great (during lunch with coworkers and after work!). Highly recommended. The different restaurants involved will satisfy any crowd.

Went on a Saturday after checking the website for the opening hours of the restaurants. Arrived at 6pm and all the doors leading to the interior were locked. Bar Robo was setting up for an event opening at 8pm. The only reason the venue gets even 2 stars on because the service at the Bar Robo event was decent. I can see the design being a hit when the restaurants are actually open AS POSTED ON THE DOOR AND WEBSITE. But it was a major let down to have to find somewhere else in the area to eat after checking the opening hours online beforehand.

Pleasant band, good performance, nice place, nice concept. Sound was a bit too loud though and a bit difficult to hear their voices over the music in some places and at times. Would have appreciated more food options being open and for longer through the performance. Good experience overall

Cute, fun place in the evening, great for comedy, drag, and small concerts. There’s hardly anything open (if anything) in terms of food after 5 or 6, which makes evening events challenging. With the bar open, it would be nice to have some food options right there, too. It’s also very loud - too loud for a small space. I couldn’t hear the people at my table and left with a headache. Bring ear plugs and don’t plan on having conversations here.

Went for Jazz night. The staff is exceptional they are always there when you need them and serves you amazing drinks. We got some burgers (yummy). The music was really good and we loved the atmosphere. Will be going back at some point.

  • 4/5 William S. 5 years ago on Google
Great modern venue unlike anything else in Ottawa, lots of variety in the food and drinks available, casual seating in the open or in a niche. The music was loud in the evening so the only way to converse was by shouting, so didn't stay long. Future super easy access once the O-Train stop just outside opens.

Got Pad Thai here because the place I normally go further down Queen Street was closed. This place was way more expensive and a smaller portion. It tasted good though. Will keep going to Red Pepper Thai down the street though once it re-opens. Cheaper option for lunch.

After driving 40 minutes to go eat at QSF, surprise... Everything is closed despite posting hours that they close at 8pm on Fridays. I get it... Covid... But that doesn't excuse a simple adjustment to your hours out of respect for your clients.

I was there for a function and not regular dining and onky had drinks which were good. The concept was interesting, its like a sophisticated food court.

I went for the first time there for a Meetup and it has tons of space to socialize. The cocktail selection seems to rotate on seasonal flavours and were delicious! ($15+ each, so budget accordingly)

I really like one of the burrito bowls I get here from Mercadito. I have been here only a handful of times tho but it's fairly close to work so it's great. Their pulled pork power bowl is delicious and they offer very good portions. And even when it's super busy you usually don't have to wait longer than 10 minutes to be served. Great staff too.

Food court is great but would not recommend attending a concert here due to lack of seating and obstructed views. The NAC is just up the street and has reasonably priced performances in proper studios/stages. It would also make sense for them to keep at least a couple of the food outlets open during concerts - they’d do a lot of business!

Me and friend had an amazing time here The food was good and the people were nice. Didn't take long for our food to be made. The atmosphere was really nice. The only downside was that the drinks were a little pricey.

A lovely late evening listening to jazz . This was free and no pressure to purchase anything which in turn is very inviting to actually purchase a nice drink and enjoy. I go there time to time and would definitely recommend. Specially if you want a pressure free evening to just .. relax!

Favourite little area for a workday lunch. Great relaxed atmosphere with lots of seating and delicious food options. Does get busy around 12 so I go before or after then. My only qualm is that they are not open on weekends because I like it here so much!

Sen Kitchen is awesome! Very quick service, friendly staff and incredible pad thai. I had the shrimp version and it was very generous, at a reasonable price.

Good selection of restaurants, upscale, free water glasses and taps, not as pricey as you'd expect from the ambience. The only downside is the place is PACKED at lunchtime so go early.

The drag show was nice. The food in the restaurants was just ok. We ordered our food from 3 different restaurants there and no single dish was something that we would consider getting again. I think the next time I'm gonna eat somewhere else before going to see the show.

I had the cauliflower tacos at Mercadito. I didn't think the flavours came together very well. It was just a bit too spicy and then no depth of flavour. Fun vibe overall.

This place has been on the list for a while. I finally made! From pizza, burgers, salads to what tackled my hunger, tacos. There is plenty of seating, which judging from the large lunch time crowd a very good thing! I settled in at Mercadito with two beef tacos. The perfect size for a lunch, and the side of chips and salsa was enjoyed. Queen St. Fare has embraced the low waste approach. The watering hole, complete with reusable glasses is welcome. The goal here will be to try each restaurant!

Extremely nice staff members in all establishments within this venue. They will go out of their way to make you happy. Especially the tech team. I recieved nothing but love and respect every time I come. Thank you.

  • 5/5 Sam V. 3 years ago on Google
Super tasty the fries and coleslaw were also perfectly compared. If you’re someone that doesn’t like salty fries maybe make a note when you’re ordering because they were on the saltier side (which I liked so it worked out :). Also super confusing thst on uber it says Hanley’s Chicken but that name doesn’t exist on google maps. I later figured out it was part of Queen St. Fare!

It's pretty good but I stopped going after work. You often can't get a seat and the awkward shuffle of asking people if/when they are leaving is not fun. I think you could fit a lot more hightop tables (eg the 4 hightops in a 4-500 sqft area beside the bar) or employ a host during busy hours to coordinate the awkward herd. Also, the weird lineup to get a drink at the busboy entrance takes away from the enjoyment.

Good food options, but the atmosphere is a little loud and crowded, especially at lunchtime. The pizza is great, European style. The Mexican is very disappointing.
