A hidden gem in a neighbourhood with otherwise limited options other than fast food chains. Overflow offers a simple but tasty draft beer and food menu, special event nights (live music, games), and a delightful west-facing patio! Perfect for afternoon sun and evening sunsets. Staff are always friendly, great service and vibe. Free bike and car parking 😉!

Service is the best, food is wicked, beer is amazing. Super cute and surprisingly really affordable. Great atmosphere. Points for parking, too. Thank you Mac and Brooklyn for your awesome work!! PS: they had homemade strawberry icecream and it’s better than you could imagine.

Beer was tasty. I got the pilsner. Don’t get the cauliflower bites, they were soggy. They had a similar texture to mashed potatoes. They tasted ok but the mouth feel was a 0. But hey, what do I expect, I’m at a brewery, not a pure yoga restaurant. I did enjoy the pork taco. Overall I’m happy I visited and will likely be back.

Just spent a pleasant few hours at Overflow with my daughter and as a first time visitor I was impressed by the friendly staff, clean washrooms, and excellent beer. Industrial atmosphere means high ceilings, cement floors, solid furniture and loads of space as well as a humongous garage door that gives onto a large patio space. Plenty of room for everyone Their beer is excellent. We each tried a flight, which is 5 four ounce samples of beer (which you pick from the beer menu) for $16. The menu describes each beer available and it was great fun to compare them and our reactions to the different brews. Since this is a micro-brewery the beer is a little more expensive than that at your local bar but the quality is absolutely worth it. They have live bands which are cover bands and there is plenty of space. I recommend Overflow without reservation.

Nice spot, great to finally get to it. Large venue with lots of space. Indoor and patio seating areas can fit large groups. Great service.

One of the last 2 breweries in town that I had not visited. Which is too bad because I should have been there sooner. Beautiful patio and bar area, and although we wetter there too early for music, what a nice setup. A good selection of beer and food, the nachos were good. Staff waere super attentive. Can't wait too go back.

Mixed feelings about this place. Good and ample parking. Spacious, good views of the stage, clean washrooms. Paper towels and toilet paper were scarce near the end of the evening. $8 drinks in cheap cups, that got smaller at the end of the night.. yes we noticed. Not enough bar workers. 4- 300? The tickets for drinks was a good idea to speed things up there.Very uncomfortable chairs! Food taking 3/4 to an hour... for fries is a bit long. Recommend eating beforehand. Sound acoustics could be better, brick walls bounce everything.

Overflow is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood! They have a huge space for large parties or events, and a very solid selection of beers. I normally go for after work drinks and a bite with friends. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food comes from the food truck (Redneck Eatz) parked outside the brewery. Everything I've ever had from the food truck is excellent, and portions are fair. There aren't a lot of vegetarian options, but the mushroom tacos are some of the best veggie tacos in Ottawa. They sell cans and merch (shirts, hats etc) in a store space just off the bar; you can access it from outside via the second door. This brewery is fully wheelchair accessible ♿

We saw the band Hysteria MTL play last night, and it was epic. A cool venue for a concert.

Love the concerts! I have been to quite a few. Great craft beer (pumpkin ale and wit beer!) and beautiful large venue. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Will visit again for sure.

TL,DR: WAAAAY OVER PRICED Beer was decent, drinkable but not great. Over $10 for a pint of beer that is under 5% is crazy expensive when you’re brewing it on site. Most pints were ~$12/pint where most breweries charge ~$8. The food was even more ridiculously priced, double what it should be. For example I order a taco salad which at $15 should have been at least triple the size (it was appetizer size). To digress - I just had one of the best handmade, farm to table, pasta dishes at a high-end restaurant for $14 - not sure what these guys think their pre-made ingredients have on real food but they sure are charging a premium for assembling some low quality ingredients. We also had wings which were terrible, not crispy but also completely lacking in sauce at the same time. At least if you are going to make sad sauceless little things, make them crunchy. Perhaps they should hire a real chef if they want to advertise food because really it wasn’t edible by my standards and not worth the animals life. All-in-all for 2lbs of wings, taco salad, and 3 beers we paid $100. Save your money and go to a nice restaurant instead.

They produce really good beer but now also have a great venue for indoor and patio dining. They could have a few more options on the menu but hopefully that will come as they get more established, and having jackfruit as a veggie option for each item is awesome. The venue itself is very nice and new - we'll definitely be back!

Fantastic establishment. Garage style doors bring in amazing breezes, beer is delicious, food was really good and live music on Thursdays to boot. Highly recommend!

Do believe the hype! Been here few times and it became my go-to brewery. Having a patio just near a non-busy parking lot enables one to have a nice conversation rather than being interrupted by noisy motorists (specially the ones with an “adjusted” muffler)

I came tonight as a DD, as I was entering the doorman was incredibly rude to me wanting to rifle through my purse, which clearly had nothing in it. The vibe inside was terrible, dark, non inviting and for the group of us, no where to sit/enjoy. Asked for a coffee/non alcohol to stay awake, they sent me to the Tim Hortons a few blocks away. When I came back the band was on stage. The acoustics were NOT good and it was just a lot of loud noise. I just went back outside and waited in my car, to which my friends came back out and said they didn’t like the vibe and the screaming either.

I am not going to dis this place just simply going to write about my first experience Went for the famous Disney bingo night with the kids tried to order the final bow dark beer was told they were all out then was told the only 3 beers that I was interested in were also out and I am not an IPA guy so water it is on to the food 1 Bavarian pretzel please? Sorry sir we're all out of those two So I looked at the menu I didn't want to buy the $20 1 lb wings so i ordered the $20 nachos when they came out they were tasty they were very wet and very soggy. I don't know maybe I'm just getting older now but the music was extremely loud I had a hard time even talking to the people across the table I guess this place just isn't for me with money being the way it is with inflation and everything getting a little more expensive I think I'm just going to be a little more choosy on where I put my money and for what products I get out of it.

Great venue to watch live music. Seating was plentiful though there wasn’t much near the stage, the outdoor patio was open throughout the whole show. The bathroom was a bit of a walk but was wheelchair accessible and you could peer into the brewery through a window. The bar was well attended, though the limited selection of food was a bit expensive for its value.

Great vibe, excellent sound. Service and beer perfect. Coat check was a total disaster as it was not clear how to actually get someone to check a coat. Otherwise I recommend.

Not giving the venue 5 stars because my visit was limited to picking up beer for later consumption. It's a great open space with a stage for live performances. They have five distinct brews that should satisfy all palates. But I reserve judgement until after I've actually tried the beer. My review will appear in The Brown Knowser Beer O'Clock blog post.

Wasn't a busy night but was looking for a place to work on my resume. Wifi is not up yet but it's coming soon. Tasted every beer and they brew an excellent Pilsner, something I never truly am fond of usually. The location is a bit remote but for a reason, this is a party house. They have a huge floor and stage to attract bands of all sorts. From Thursdays till Saturdays their hours are extended and have acts every week, truly a place to go. There's is a good truck (bus) on premise that serve smoked dishes and classics. They were closing but the menu definitely looked appetizing especially with a beer to wash it all down. Another craft brewery that's is doing things right and offers entertainment that's is only going to get bigger. Get your dancing shoes and head on over there ASAP!!!

$12.96 pints ($14 after tip) normally tip better than that but once I get into $15 pint territory I better be at a major event. Friendly staff. $12.96 is too much for a 6.5% draft beer made in house. I know, hops are expensive. Gotta draw the line on the pricing somewhere though not to rub someone the wrong way on a $14 pint. Really wanted to like it there and keep coming back. $12.96 is way too high of a base price if you expect your staff to get decent tips.

Great beer and cider. Nice relaxing atmosphere with snack food. Their pulled back burger is great with fries. But two improvements to suggest: fries are too salty. The bun can be a bit upgraded. When the concert is happening, you have to get out of the dining area by 7:15pm or so. There are only 5 big tables, so the first come, the first served.

We've been here a few times now and the staff has always been very helpful with the choices you can make. These choices come from either the great craft beer they have on tap to the great food from the Meatings menu. We shall return when we see a band we like come as it's a great place for live music as well!!!

Went there for a wedding party (bachelor/bachelorette) on a Friday night. We had a big table, nicely distanced from other groups. Beer and food were awesome! I really like how as our server (Max) was taking orders, making his way around the table, the bartender brought over the beers we were ordering! They were pretty busy, but food and beer came out promptly, and our whole group (15) left very happy. Great service and great product.

The Overflow Brewery is a great place to grab some food and beers with friends. They also have good live local bands play at their location and it is a nice set up. Unfortunately, that has stopped due to Covid, hopefully we can all return to normal life soon. The Overflow's location may be hard to find as it is on a small street 2477 Kaladar, that is near the back of the Canadian Tire at Bank and Heron. Hope you like it and enjoy a cold beer BBQ and live music on a hot day summer day once covid is over, thumbs up

Was here for a party. I'm not a big drinker but the food was so good. Our server Alex was a rockstar. He kept our drinks full and was super friendly. The bathroom were clean and well stocked. We could see the brewery through a widow in the room and it was also really clean. Even for a non-drinker, it was a great experience!
