Went
to
Corner
Peach
a
while
ago
with
my
friend
from
Markham,
before
she
left
Ottawa.
We
had
walked
by
the
place
several
times,
and
the
decor
and
atmosphere
inside
enticed
us.
The
night
we
visited
the
restaurant
was
a
bit
quiet,
and
we
ordered
two
craft
beers,
two
entrees
and
a
main.
The
entrees
featured
an
open
faced
sandwich
of
mushrooms,
cold
cuts
and
pickled
blueberries
with
some
greens
and
a
steak
tartare.
The
sandwich
was
great,
all
the
elements
paired
together
very
well
and
the
sourdough
toast
was
crunchy
and
satisfying.
I
also
enjoyed
the
tartare
and
the
fries
were
a
highlight.
After
the
success
of
the
starters
we
were
excited
for
our
main,
billed
as
a
'picnic
meal'
of
Korean
Fried
Chicken
and
two
sides
to
go
with
it.
The
dish
took
a
while
to
arrive,
and
to
our
surprise
the
chicken
was
served
cold.
An
explanation
from
our
waiter
described
that
this
was
the
'picnic'
element
of
the
meal,
but
upon
trying
it,
leaving
the
chicken
to
go
cold
felt
unnecessary.
The
chicken
was
well
cooked,
but
tasted
worse
because
of
the
temperature
and
I
didn't
really
see
the
point
of
serving
it
that
way.
The
kimchi
and
potato
sides
were
solid,
although
none
of
them
were
particular
standouts.
Overall,
we
really
enjoyed
the
atmosphere
and
the
space
is
really
cute.
Some
of
the
options
on
the
menu
seem
very
promising
and
I
enjoy
the
concept
of
a
rapidly
changing
menu.
Spots
like
Corner
Peach
are
nice
to
see
in
Ottawa,
but
they
could
do
without
serving
food
that
would
be
better
warm,
cold.
