The food was average & it wasn’t worth the price. We tried it because of the really great reviews but we were disappointed so I don’t recommend this place. We saw a mouse, there was no toilet paper in the washroom, & they gave me a plate that wasn’t washed properly.. The staff presented themselves very well so it’s unfortunate that the quality of the restaurant & food doesn’t match it. I don’t even think it’s an authentic Italian restaurant. Édit: reply to owner, I’m sure you do your very best & I apologize for doubting your authenticity. This was just my honest review. Maybe in the future if I come back and we have a better experience then you get a better rating. I brought up the plates to the kind waiter but talking to the manager doesn’t change the sanitation issues, they still happened during our visit. Lastly, yes, I don’t mind leaving a review about my experience even if it’s negative.

It has been awhile since I had service and food like this. From the moment you walk in and get greeted you know it's a good restaurant. Impeccable table placement. Great wine selection. Food was amazing. Fresh, made from scratch pasta. Will definitely go again and recommend it to ally friends.

We were able to book a table same day for 6pm reservation. Service, right from the welcome at the door, was excellent (even though they were missing some staff). The menu is varied, offering something for everyone's taste, with excellent and tempting specials on top of the regular menu choices. We were happy with our selections, and already planning what to try on our next visit. Lovely, cozy atmosphere with warm lighting and quiet background music. Tables are close together, but as is the style in a European Bistro setting. Ours was a table for two, but there are other table arrangements for family or small group gatherings. I thought that the food and service were excellent. Serving was well paced so that you did not feel that you were being rushed to free a table and the waiter was engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. Although the atmosphere was pleasant, the noise level was high making it a little challenging to carry on a conversation without raising your voice.

If you would like a traditional Italian restaurant experience... This is it!! Staff were quick and very friendly, treated like famillia! Food was exceptional (we took and shared all 3 main specials of the night that were off the menu and was not disappointed!!). Plus the wine recommendation was spot on. Lovely restaurant tucked into a little mall in Orleans. Great service, lovely ambiance. Totally enjoyed my meal.... My usual... Pasta with seafood in a tomato sauce! Very tasty.... The table shared a bunch of appy's and they were all tasty.... From calamari, zucchini to Caesar salad! Scrumptious! Definitely recommended!

I had my neices communion here. The staff were extremely polite and friendly and made sure that our big group had everything they needed. The food is AMAZING and the ambiance is just as great! I highly recommend this for an evening out with your spouse or first date! Picture below is the Pollo Marsala that I ordered and the gravy was to die for! Definitely a 5 star rating in my opinion! I had very high hopes, but was definitely disappointed by our experience. Our service started off well, but did not continue as expected. We were never offered a second drink or refills on our waters. The incorrect meal came for my husband, which ended up with my husband and I eating at separate times since they had to start his after mine was ready. It also took a long time to clear our plates (15+ minutes after we were finished). Due to the main course error plus the long wait time to clear our plates we had to leave before dessert which was disappointing.

You cannot go wrong with their standard menu but their nightly specials are excellent. If you haven't been yet, make a reservation, go sit and relax with a glass of wine (or a Bourbon Old Fashioned) and enjoy the incredible dishes they have to offer.

Absolutely delicious, amazing service. My only complaint as that they strive to be a traditional Italian restaurant, but with a price tag of 170$ (after tip) for two people I should leave filled to the brim. My Nona would feed a stranger off the streets with better portions than what was given to us. Regardless, one of my favourite places but very expensive for what you get.

Definitely recommend this restaurant. Service is impeccable, everyone was so friendly and nice. The food was delicious and of high quality we felt like travelled back to Italy for dinner.

Excellent food, and reasonable prices for quality. The only difficulty was making reservations because they are closed Sunday and Monday and did not take online reservations... We did however manage to connect over the phone. Would also love to see it open again for lunches.

The food was a 10 on 10!!!! Just amazing ! Never have I had a server like Mike he was the best…This was my first time at Cucina da Vito I will certainly return and will tell my friends and family that it’s the best Italian food I ever had. So nice to have such a wonderful restaurant in Orleans .

🎂 for a grand daughter. Service was excellent. Only dish that I will comment on was the escargot. Very different treatment (spicy tomato sauce) was unexpected. Would have preferred butter, etc. . . They were also a lot smaller than what you usually see. Everyone enjoyed their mains. Service aside (which was very good), I do not like establiments that calculate the recommended tip amounts including the taxes. I believe that to be poor business practice.

Clearly one of the top Italian restaurants in Ottawa and certainly the best option in Orleans. Everything was impeccable throughout - food, service, atmosphere. The Pollo Marsala is highly, highly recommended - an instant favourite of mine.

Service is poor… way to slow. Waited 45min for simple appetizers and another 45 minutes for the entrees and the restaurant was not busy. Plates lack presentation and the food was average. Would not recommend this Italian restaurant if you are looking for efficient and friendly service, nor for amazing Italian eats.

First time visiting. Went on a Friday evening without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us. Very pleasant staff (I learned about the insane price difference between men and women’s haircuts) and it was a great romantic atmosphere. The food was fantastic! Pasta was cooked perfectly and the dishes were well seasoned. Unfortunately we had to wait about 1 hour 15 minutes for the entrées. The restaurant was busy and they took us in without a reservation, so I can’t really complain. My partner and I had had a little tiff before dinner, but we had resolved the issue before we got there and the distasteful unpleasantness of the whole situation was wearing off. The additional time gave us a chance to reconnect and the restaurant’s whole vibe lifted our spirits. I’d like to think that they wanted people to get comfortable and catch up with their friends and family over drinks and bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil (and did I detect some rosemary?). It was a fabulous date night. All that to say, yes, 100% yes, we will absolutely return.

Hands down my favourite Italian place in Ottawa. I've been here twice now--once before the pandemic and once again after--and the quality stays consistent. Service is amazing and everything is made in house. I usually save this place for special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, but I would like to pop in just for dinner more often. A hidden gem in Orleans.

Reservation for 6:30 - because of large group given a extremely reduced menu saying it would be quick. Now 9:15 and still waiting. Some people had to leave. My granddaughter's 30 birthday. NOT IMPRESSED!!!! I have been here before and had excellent service and food so was looking forward to a great evening. That made last night's experience even more disappointing. After waiting almost 3 hours for our meals the food was very disappointing. I was unable to eat much of mine as parts were so salty it was like having a mouthful of salt. Some of the dishes looked like frozen dinners - none of them looked appetizing. Unfortunately we will not be returning. A loss of at least 16 potential repeat customers and recommendations to others.

Exceptional service and food. The waiting staff was fabulous. The waiter's knowledge of the menu and specials was really impressive. Always serving us from the correct side and removing unneeded things from the correct side too. This is a high quality restaurant that focuses on quality and service. I highly recommend. Our first time at this restaurant. Had heard many positive comments on Orléans Foodie so we decided to try it out. All I can say is it did not disappoint! First and foremost, service was amazing! Very attentive while also just genuinely pleasant. We ordered the specials along with the more mainstream lasagna, chicken Marsala and veal parmesan. Everyone simply loved their meal. Everything was served at just the right temperature and at the same time (group of 8). But the taste, oh wow....authentic Italian!!!! Highly recommend this place for both the service and the food, you will not be disappointed!

Tonight was my 51 years birthday; my wife and I chose this restaurant by chance. From outside, I thought it might be closed, but it was open. Good environment. Amazing staff, especially Vittorio, was excellent. Super delicious food. I have had Italian food like this only in Italy, not in Ottawa. Highly recommend trying this restaurant. You will see me with my friends and family in your restaurant soon.

We had a very nice dinner here. My husband doesn't eat veal so his choices were reduced but he did enjoy the chicken parmigiana. Service was attentive and spacing of tables was good. The escargot plate was delicious but the calamari was a bit bland. They have a reasonable selection of wines by the glass.

My earlier visit here was great. Terrific service and food. I had the spaghetti carbonara and wasn't disappointed! The calamari was also delicious.

It has lovely ambiance and great efforts my maitre-d to make you feel like you're at an authentic Italian experience. I would say the food is "good" "fine".

Showed up completely underdressed but was treated like I was wearing a 3 piece suit. The selling point for me was the fresh pasta, and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious, and considering everything is done from scratch, the food came out quickly. They do attempt to upsell you on things like appetizers and specials\alcohol, but that's not unique to here, and they aren't pushy which I loved. Rather than rattle them off, he asked if we wanted to hear about them first. Small detail, but made a big difference. Best thing about it was the generally quiet and subdued atmosphere. It's exactly what I was looking for. My waited even held the door on the way out. Highly recommended!
