This Delta is in a quiet spot on the west side of downtown Ottawa. South of the Supreme Court of Canada. Unfortunately, the convoy was around when we visited and blocked Lyon and Queen in a part of downtown inconvenienced with one way streets. Friendly front desk staff, pet friendly hotel is a bonus, modern decor, nice lobby, wouldn't call it a 4 star, 3 at best. Has a small bar fridge in the room which is good. Some are family rooms with a shared door I'm between. Parking is $25 per day with in and out privileges. It's a shared garage though with the office buildings around it.

Rooms were a touch small and had lots of minor things in disrepair. That said they seemed quite clean and were nicely appointed. The hotel itself is great, with a nice pool and other facilities. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Shared the “suite” with friends …. Is the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen. A random match of lonely fridge and microwave put together on dated brown furniture. Plus a very tired sofa bed. All of this magic at a crazy expensive rate. The staff has been very nice and professional however. Thanks to them for making our stay more comfortable, more enjoyable than the room.

I will begin with the evening, I was warmly welcomed after a very long trip from Windsor with so much delay. The room itself had an excellent setting and view, it was very comfortable and soothing. The primary concern is the bathroom. It is quite tight with a very slippery bathtub that I ended up falling and injuring myself in. I informed the staff but it was not attended to directly; I had to ask multiple times for a matt. I also would have appreciated any check-in as I spoke with multiple staff or someone to extend an empathic hand, but I only got that from the cleaning staff; well, one of them. I am now under treatment and truly hoping I didn't end up with a concussion. I think you need to check this please because of accessibility issues as someone could easily be severely injured or worse. The restaurant food is very limited and I wished for just a variety of say even green salads, for dietary restrictions it doesn't help. However, I wish to pass a great recognition to Angela. She was phenomenal, very supportive, and helped me as best as possible to pick a selection. She was friendly and warmly welcoming; I ensured her manager knows too. No room service on a weekend though? That was quite surprising because that's when mostly people stay and I would have appreciated that comfort. The cleanliness of the place especially bathrooms is of great concern to be honest. The bathrooms were continuously filthy or requiring attendance to be honest and we were there for a conference, so this should have been maintained a lot more closely.

Good for a night or two, but a bit underwhelmed considering the renovations that need to be done, and the cost to stay here vs other cheaper hotels that offer the same with renovations. Double queen deluxe suite: -Bathroom is small, outdated, not the cleanest it could be. -I was told over the phone when booking that the price was including the parking. I verified twice over the phone to ensure everything was correct. When I arrived, I was told that this isn't the case, and that I needed to pay extra. -The room is small and quiet, but not by modern standards quiet, but the building is a bit older so I suppose it is what it is. -The location is great, and the staff are nice (staff are 6-star), but there are many other hotels in the area priced far better than this, and with better amenities, larger space. -No elevator card security to prevent randoms from going around the hotel floors. I would advise checking out other hotels before coming here (if you were looking for something recently renovated). It's definitely not a bad stay, but there are better options to explore. Again, not a bad stay, staff are awesome, salt water pool, but there are things they can fix.

Currently at the hotel and finishing our stay here. Everything has gone smoothly and the staff have been great! We called for a late check out and they were very accommodating. Spoke with a cleaner briefly in the hallway who seemed very nice and kind, and every staff member we’ve encountered thus far has been friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is very nice and the kids loved the basketball set up and the large floating pads! The view from our room is beautiful as well!

Traveled here for a rugby tournament and this hotel was perfect for our needs. Very clean, amazingly friendly and accommodating staff throughout the hotel and lobby restaurant, spacious rooms with everything we needed. We got a lot of use out of the pool and workout room. The location was fantastic as well - close to many great restaurants and right across from public transit. Fantastic experience, would highly recommend.

Checked in on Friday July 30 1st first few nights there was a costume thing going on. They didn't bother me but hotel was busy. Had dinner in restaurant was extremely expensive for two people but good was good so were the drinks. Had breakfast good but expensive. 1st good was one with am adjoining door, got switched right away staff is great like that. The room that I ended up sleeping in was tiny. Bed was good but thought for price they should have been bigger. Bathroom was way to small husband is big but not over big he had a hard time getting in and out also no Bathroom vent. On Tuesday construction started at 7 am husband had ear plugs still couldn't sleep and neither could I asked to be moved staff said no problem. However was still extremely noisy this combined with the small room made this hotel not worth the price so we cut stay short. Also the parking is a mess

Recently stayed for one night. There was a bit of a wait to check in but otherwise nothing at all to complain about. Staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are great and up-to-date - lots of little things provided for guest convenience make this better than other hotels in the same price range. Convenient hooks for hanging things, an in-room coffee maker and a kettle, mini-fridge, very nice toiletries, and lots of lighting including reading lights in the headboard. The room was clean, and there are lots of elevators. Would definitely stay here again. Recommended!

We used the Delta as our wedding venue and it was absolutely perfect. The reception spaces in the penthouse were beautiful; the decorations that the Delta provided in their wedding package really transformed the room from a standard hotel meeting space into a romantic wedding reception. The food was amazing (perhaps the best wedding food I've ever eaten), and the service during the reception was stellar. Our guests said that their rooms were comfortable and pleasant. Planning our out-of-town wedding with the Delta was easy thanks to Sarah Williams on the sales team and our fantastic event manager Lynn Booth. The package pricing information they provided was clear and easy to interpret, and there were no surprise fees anywhere during the planning process. I'd recommend this wedding venue to any couple!

Location: 👍🏻 Across from Lyon Station on the O-Traib. Easy to get to from the Via Station. Rooms: Excellent beds and pillows. The bathroom was a bit basic, but fine. Housecleaning staff: Lovely helpful people who were there at a moment’s notice Front of house staff: Pleasant, efficient The restaurant amenities are limited, which is probably due to recovery from the pandemic. No room service, which is one thing I enjoy with a hotel room.

Loved our stay. Had adjoining rooms which was great but the bathrooms are quite small. There was some wear and tears with paint/wallpaper as well. The workout rooms and pools were used each day. The kids loved that there were floaties and balls to play with. The breakfast staff were the highlight! Will definitely stay again.

I booked a king size room online, as a elite Marriott member, I never expect I will get a super old and tiny room right face to the elevator. I could hear each person get in or out of the elevator the whole night and day. The bathroom is extremely tiny, you have to close the door if you want to open the door of shower room. I truly doubt if the room service ever clean the bathroom before I check in, since I notice there are “hairs” from previous guests on the wall of shower room🙃 The white tile is yellow and dirty. if you drive a car which is higher than 6 feet, you will have trouble to get into garage. Really don’t understand why this hotel could get 4 stars on google map, but please AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOUR DON’T WANT YOUR TRIP RUINED!!

Came here with kids around a conference in December. Great decorations, clean room, great pool! Pool is heated and has many floating mats, useful! Would have appreciated to understand in advance what the breakfast is when you order room with breakfast, it seemed to be fuzzy for staff of both restaurant and hotel (and me of course). In the end, all was well. Would go again with (or without) kids.

I had a 4 night stay at this hotel while travelling for an important exam. I can’t thank enough these people for providing us with anything requested. They were quite helpful and understanding. I recommend breakfast at Prova too, nice and polite staff. Will definitely go back if I travel to Ottawa again. Only thing to improve is the water pressure in bathroom which may be related to the area.

It was a short 2 nights in Ottawa to visit the museum as a family with kids ( 6-8y).will not stay here again. Price was good but Hotel rooms are outdated ( they look modern but not functional) . For example our bed was squeaking, mattress is bumpy, door is chipping ( not the paint but the wood) , safety chain was ripped off the door. If u can’t sleep because the bed is u comfortable what’s the purpose of staying there! We left at 10 am for the museums, came back at 5 pm room was still not made, I was told that room cleaning goes till the evenings. Not the best experience with kids. However my kids did enjoy their pool in the evening and we liked the gym.

We loved the delta Ottawa! The service was beyond my expectations. The front desk clerk that did our check in was so attentive to detail and she was amazing, sadly I did not get her name she gave me maps of the city, helped me get around and she gave us coupons for breakfast! The room was perfect for us, we loved the view of the city we had. The restaurant was amazing for breakfast as well. Only downside in my opinion was the food quality of the dinner. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a salad. The pizza disappointed in my opinion. Over all amazing stay, I will definitely go back to the delta Ottawa when my travels bring me back to Ottawa :)

Service was efficient and friendly. The room was well appointed and bed was very comfortable. The shower lacked any water pressure.. a disappointing trickle. Conveniently located a walk to all the fun spots downtown

Room was small for a king bed. It was my wife's bday and the staff noted it, upgraded us to the top floor and sent us a complimentary bottle of wine. Great service with lots of smiles. Some of the room furniture was worn down, and as mentioned, the room was smaller than anticipated. Great location.

Very comfortable stay. We initially had to switch rooms because the ventilation system was so loud in the first room. But after that, not a hitch. Paying for parking is annoying, but we left the car for our whole stay and just walked everywhere. Lots of great restaurants and attractions within easy reach. Staff were very nice at the front desk. The pool was also quite nice (and a sauna too!).

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. We had a great stay at the Delta last weekend! The customer service was spectacular! The front desk staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They listened to us and even recommended a few nice places to eat nearby. The room was a little small, but it's to be expected for an old building. It was comfortable, cozy and clean. And the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious!

I had to take away just one star for the construction that started at I don't even know what unearthly hour in the morning. The nice thing is the hotel recognized this and give patrons ear plugs to wear. Unfortunately, I have the weirdest ear canals and they always slip out lolllll. I even have this problem with earbuds. Ultimately it's not the hotel's fault but my sleep was disturbed. Other than that, the staff are so helpful at front desk! Thanks for the offering of the umbrella on that rainy day! The gym had a sufficient amount of equipment but funny enough no leg press machine. Other thing is there was no supplies to wipe down machines and equipment after use so that was a negative for me. Great location as I was there for business and I only needed to cross the street so perfect for my leg in recovery. Provo restaurant in the hotel was good with good service. Overall, a good hotel minus the construction across the street right now but you will get that with the surrounding hotel's in that area. I will consider going to this hotel again just for the purpose it serves me in conducting business.

Wonderful location as it is right across the O train. It is also convenient to have a Tim Hortons in the lobby for a cheap breakfast. The bathtub has bar handles but missing the non-slip bottom. Also no ice machine on each floor. Coffee machine n small kettle are available in room.

Zero complaints here. Staff were thorough and friendly. There was a power outage the morning of my second day, which was dealt with quickly. Housekeeping provided additional water bottles during this time. My room was spacious and the beds were incredibly cozy. I suppose my only “criticism” is that when you turn on the TV it’s always on the Marriott channel that is incredibly obscure and very weirdly displayed.

Hotel looked and felt new inside, I think they recently renovated. Staff were awesome and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was nice and had some activities for kids which was a nice touch. Location is is good being close to the Supreme Court and Parliament and only about a 20 to 30 minute walk from from byward Market and other tourist attractions. Would recommend and will stay there again

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I rented a block of rooms for my wedding which was the day after the May 2022 Derecho. I lost power in my apartment where I was supposed to get ready so ended up staying with my partner the night before the wedding. They were super accommodating and helped me get through a very stressful evening where I wasn't even sure that my venue had power. It was absolutely wild but they really made everything so much better. We ended up staying for 3 nights and left for our honeymoon straight from there because our apartment never got power back (well for 12 days) and we were happy and comfortable the whole time. Our dog - who was a puppy at the time - even joined us for the last night which was such a treat as we were really worried we would not get to spend our last night in Ottawa with her. 10/10 experience!

Excellent customer service checking in Room service staff was also friendly / fast. Very clean room with comfy beds. Attachments to hook up your devices to TV Close to everything downtown and has pretty big indoor pool! Dry sauna was also nice and has a decent gym too. 10/10 would book again

My room is nice. I liked the service so far Friendly staff. The room is a bit noisy. The location is central, very close to supreme court, parliament hill. It's not a good timing but the view outside my window is of a building under construction. The swimming pool is temperature controlled and nice

Great hotel, clean room, all I needed - comfortable bed, toiletries, iron, hair dryer, coffee machine, TV. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It is a large hotel but I felt like a guest of theirs - not a number. I attended a conference and they also served breakfast and lunch - great options, tasty, something for everyone and well served and presented.

Great Hotel in the downtown Ottawa area. Close to the popular and attractive ByWard Market, Shopping Centre and Restaurants. Parking is available on site and has a lot of Amenities such as conference centre, party rooms, work stations/spaces gym and pool. On top of all that it offered the best rates of all nearby comparisons. Staff is super friendly and hospitable. Better than what was expected. Would visit here again in the future.

Nice stay back in September Good location with underground parking. Rooms were clean and reasonably sized, but bathroom was tiny. Nice sized pool (but super echoey in there!) Will likely stay again next time we're back in Ottawa

amazing, cozy, and beautiful location. was an excellent location for a pop culture convention. comfy clean rooms, excellent staff, great location. only complaint was a bit of visible wear on some parts of our room (peeling or mismatched paint, wood framing visible on door frame) but other than that, very nice.

I had a fantastic three-night stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Ottawa City Centre. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The hotel was impeccably clean, and my room was well-appointed with a plethora of amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming atmosphere that made it feel more like a home than a hotel. However, the highlight of my stay was the unexpected celebration of my birthday. I received a delightful birthday cake, a bottle of wine, and an incredibly heartwarming birthday card signed by the entire staff, complete with fantastic birthday wishes. It left me truly amazed and touched. This level of care and thoughtfulness is rare to find in a hotel, and it's hard to find anything not to love about the Delta Hotel. Despite having traveled to over 60 countries, I've never been compelled to write a review before, but the Delta Hotel has moved me to do so. This experience will be a cherished memory for a lifetime. In addition to all these wonderful aspects, I can't forget to mention the delicious breakfast with a wide range of choices, as well as the evening snacks which were nicely presented and had a quality taste. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff who made my stay so wonderful. If I find myself in Ottawa again in the future, I will definitely return to this exceptional establishment.

Very good location, only 10 min walk from the he Parliament Hill. Well appointed rooms, recently renovated. Reasonable rates. My biggest complaint was the noisy room next to the elevator shaft - I could hear the elevator car creaking and engines all night. Avoid that room location and you will have a good stay in Ottawa.

Great location, but the hotel is old! The rooms are small (they were clean for the most part) but nothing special. The service is EXCELLENT! That’s the one thing that will make your stay enjoyable. The concierges were wonderful, in particular Burt. He is professional, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. THANK YOU for your incredible service Burt 🙏🏽

Great, great location! Byward Market is just a 15/20 minute walk and Sparks Street is right beside it! Parliament Hill is right there as well and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, and stores around. I recommend going down to Elgin Street for some good food! Our room was big and had a lovely wall to wall window. The bed sheets were nice, pillows were soft, and the mattress was firm. There was complimentary tea/coffee in the room as well as water, and the bathroom toiletries were a little above average quality. I don't think for $250/night the room (deluxe room with king size bed) was worth the price but the location makes up for it. The staff was nice and answered all our questions. We paid $25 for parking (paid to the hotel) for our whole 2-night stay; they have a private lot as well as a communal lot. We couldn't use the private lot as it was underground and our truck was too high. What was incredibly inconvenient about the street level lot was that it was also a public lot. So, people not staying at the hotel could pay to use it which meant we weren't guaranteed a spot if we went out and came back. We didn't use any of the services such as gym, pool, or restaurant so I can't speak to those. Overall the hotel and room was very clean, accommodating, and simple. Would stay again because of its excellent location!

Nice, clean hotel in a convenient location in Downtown Ottawa. Spacious and clean lobby as well as kind staff. We were charged double for one of our rooms but that issue was quickly rectified when brought up. They have extensive amenities such as a Tim Hortons in the lobby, gift shop, gym , heated pool. The downside was the beds, they are really small for two people. They seem to even be smaller than double beds. Overall a pretty good stay!

  • 4/5 Amanda H. 2 years ago on Google
3.5 stars. Location is very convenient. There is ample parking but it was tricky to find because the main entrance on Albert Street was blocked off so we had to drive in a circle to get to the Queen Street entrance (lots of 1-way streets). Hotel view was 2 unfinished buildings but that is beyond the hotel's control. There were children running around the lobby and concourse floors, without masks on. Staff ignored this and did not speak with the parents about enforcing indoor mask use in public space. Other than that, staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel did not have slippers available upon request and tissue box only had a few tissues left. No extra box in room. The room's washroom is quite small. Gym is small but there's not many people there. Pool and change area are clean. Breakfast at LIFT was delicious.

The booking process was pretty easy. On check in day, I downloaded the Marriott app which made it easier to check in. Finding the hotel parking was not hard, there is an entrance on either side of the hotel. The entrance is not very clearly marked but it's easy to find if you check prior on google maps. The parking however is rather tight both in terms of height and width. The check in process was quick and efficient. On to the hotel room, it was clean, the bedding was clean, the bathroom was nice and clean but it the room felt a little dusty. It was pretty quiet during my stay here. Amenities were open during our stay but we did not get to use them. Check out process was easy. The staff I had a pleasure of dealing with were all very pleasant.

The hotel is located in the city centre where the accessibility to many restaurants and sightseeing place is really great. The hotel overall is very clean and modern and staffs are very welcoming. I enjoyed the fitness room where many equipments are ready for workouts. Haven't tried the restaurants yet so I'll do it next time. One thing, everything is closed on Sundays for now.

I loved my trip pricey but loved it. They had amazing service and I love the fact there are little stores in the hotel my mother needed tynanol they had it. It was amazing the room when we got in we’re very clean and they are always so nice asking how we like the stay so far and they show a lot of care to the people and they are not to complicated they are very straightforward. Pool amazing! I loved my trip!!

Stayed the weekend here. Walking distance to the sites to see downtown. Beds were a bit small and squeaky, carpets in the room are close to or at that point of being worn out (keep your shoes on). Pool was great for the kids. Overall good hotel to stay at. Oh yes and the parking garage is a bit tight.

Sadly my experience here was not the greatest. Staff were friendly, however the room was not to my personal liking. 3 things I didn’t enjoy: 1. The room had a musty smell to it...made me feel like I need to sit in a bathtub and clean myself. The smell was gross and wet. 2. As I took the hand towel to dry my hands, I found a black hair (looked like leg hair) curled up in it...I simply ignored it but then I found a female strand inside one of the big towels. I understand that hairs can get stuck on towels during washing but in a hotel that’s a no from me. AND YES I know it was not mine as my hair is lighter brown and this was a black hair. 3. Our mattress was so worn out - I felt as if I was sleeping on one from the 1900’s. The springs were done, making a horrible sound whenever one of us moved. My back was killing the next morning. The room we got was smaller than our usual Delta experiences. It’s not a deal breaker of course but prefer to have more space! Most likely will not be staying at this hotel if I visit Ottawa again. It was not horrible - but it wasn’t to my standards.

Great location close to everything downtown. Nice restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The alarm clock and TV in my room didn't work. I didn't call the desk about it because it wasn't a huge priority for me, but I expect those things to work right the first time. The only USB charging port in the whole room was one on the alarm clock. The bathroom was quite small but functional. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was very dirty. We found lots of hair on bed sheets and over the desk!!! No COVID-19 management at all. Elevators were packed. No policy or management of social distancing. The parking was horrible. The location is good but no view. So disappointed specially during pandemic.

I have been staying at the Delta Hotels in downtown Ottawa for years now and I have always had a positive experience. The location of this hotel cannot be beat - it is situated in the heart of the city, just steps away from some of Ottawa's top attractions. One of the things I love most about this hotel is its convenient location. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. It is also just a short drive away from the airport, which makes it easy for me to get to whenever I am in town. In addition to its convenient location, the Delta Hotels in downtown Ottawa also offer top-notch amenities and service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Whether I am staying for business or leisure, I always feel at home at this hotel. Overall, I highly recommend the Delta Hotels in downtown Ottawa. It is a reliable choice for those seeking a convenient and comfortable place to stay while visiting Ottawa. I visit this hotel very often and always have a great experience.

Excellent location if you're exploring Ottawa. The subway is right there and walking distance to so much including the parliament buildings. The hotel was nice, clean and quiet. We never used any of the amenities but the bar and restaurant was busy.

An excellent hotel in the hi mid price ranges. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Very clean. Fast service. Excellent location. Great amenities. Only cautions is about the height restrictions for parking And the limited restaurant hours. Though many restaurants near by. Starbucks and Tim Hortons are really close. Have stayed here many times and never disappointed.

Celebrating my husband's birthday in the capital city this weekend and so thankful we chose to stay at the Delta Ottawa City Centre. This is our 3rd time staying here and we've never been disappointed. The team even went above and beyond and left us a surprise in our room to wish my husband a happy birthday - they knew it was our first child-free weekend away in 5 years and wanted to make it extra special. Excellent service and bright and clean environment. Room was lovely, clean and bright. Smaller bathroom, but that didn't matter to us.
