Britannia Park and beach is a great place to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. You can swim, sunbath, play in the water and there are large fields to play sports.you can also enjoy some isolated areas to look at the water or wildlife in the area. Britannia beach also is a great place to go to see the Canadian geese during the fall as thousands of them gather there before they migrate to the south. If you like my reviews, videos or photos push the beach thumbs up.

A great fun place for family and friends. The scenic beauty when you walk or just enjoy the sand and water is just exotic. Water is not so deep, so kids who don't know swimming can still enjoy comfortably. A huge area with benches at various spots gives option for picnics. Restrooms are clean and well maintained too.

This is great park right in the City. Easily accessible by public transit and car. Lots of parking (most of the times). There are a few play structures, beach area where you can volleyball. There is restaurant in park. Lots of area for picnics and walks. There is one bike path that goes the park. Overall excellent place to visit in almost all seasons.

Great beach with 2 play structures. Plenty of clean public toilets. Swimming area in river. Lifeguards work at certain months from 11am to 7pm. There is also a place to get food. Lots of picnic tables around too. Perfect place to spend a day.

Amazing park and beach. Lots of paths to walk, although it can get very, very busy. The beach and park are both very clean, lots of benches along the way to sit, and well maintained overall. Parking can be a bit tight. Get there early!

Hubby and I wish this beach was always open for swimming but even if it isn’t it’s a fun place to go. The cafe has a surprisingly good menu for a beach haunt. There are a lot of places to stroll around to round out your visit. Great place to bring your kiddies and if you don’t have any you can just be a kid yourself here. Hubby certainly was.

On a quiet winter night you can hear the coyotes tipping at mud lake. In the summer ripple of all cultures gather to picnic and bbq. It will be so nice to have the beach reopen this summer.

Always good to be on Britannia beach. It's clean and have positive vibes. There is green space (garden area), a small quick serve fast food shop, path for walking, jogging and cycling....and many more things.

Love this spot. Great place to relax and chill. Nice walking path close by. This park has a dog friendly area where they can be off leash, however it's not fenced in. Depending on the croud the washrooms can be clean, however in the heat of the summer they can be a little messy.

Beautiful spot, beautiful sunset. The Shack has great and yummy food options- i had the poutine and burger and it was great. The bathrooms could be better maintained or upgraded. That is my only complaint.

Great place for a family bbq, some sun, sand and water! Volleyball too. I use it as a pit stop when out for a bike ride.

Beautiful place. Lots of bikes, pedestrians and families in the park.

Nice place to go with the family. Lots of trees, green space and there's the beach. I like the shade that the trees give. Lots of people go there so it can be hard to find parking. However, if you are patient, lots of people come and go so you can have a spot. Plus there's other parking spots at a 10 minutes walking distance from the beach. You can find them if you keep an eye out. However I hear it's not the best beach around because of the quality of the water. It's still pretty good though.

What started as a moral-boosting work bike ride with coworkers turned into one of the great Sports Days! With amazing weather, and great views, we also had the chance to ride on the newly renovated west end area bike path, previously damaged by the Ottawa river overflow of years ago.

Fantastic attraction. Must go if your new to Ottawa. Great dog park to the East of the Beach. Recommend Fido has a good call-back as the park is not fenced. Bordered by a berm, bike path and road. Dog park gets busy after 4pm. Beach and surrounding area/amenities are always busy. City does a great job keeping it clean considering.

We really liked this park. Other than the big green area to sit on or have a picnic, it also has a beach. There are multiple nets set up for beach volleyball. I am not sure how clean the water was but people seemed to be having a good time. It has a big parking lot and rest rooms if you need it. Ideal for spending a day here with kids.

Visited on very first week of official summer, had really good time with my friend. A pleasant place where you can swim, para surf, play beach volleyball, a place to eat and public bathrooms. It's really good place for a family weekend gateway. Plenty of kids with families, lots girls in bikinis to get sun kissed, ample parking and there is bus stop right before the beach. I hope that's pretty much info to make your decision!

Peaceful and relaxing beach. You can swim , have picnic, or sit there for hours enjoying waves. Lot of parking space and washrooms are available.

While it is a great place for a walk, the swimming here is not great. Little parking and very overcrowded. But it has a lot of positives - amazing trails & paths. Great sights. There are boats in the water. Nice ice cream spot close by.

Costa del Ottawa! Even on a slightly chill November evening a walk along the beach here as the sun goes down is a very perfect way to end the day. Beach, park land, play structures for the kids and one of the cities best icecream parlours (and coffee shop) just a short walk away . Its got the lot!

Lots more sand and beach space, for all to enjoy, just need more parking I bet come the summers. Was lovely to be there 9 Nov 2020 for lunch in near 20c temps!

👍👍 Made some amazing memories here with a group of 15 people in their 20's, and we didn't even get so much as a ticket. Given the size of our group, and the amount of alcohol we brought, we were sure to at least get a fine for excessive noise, but the wardens were very reasonable and respectful. Shawn,...
