This park has so much potential and an amazing, fenced playground where kids can safely play without risk of running out into the road and has quiet, shaded benches and grass for people to nap on. There is unfortunately a Beer Store right beside the park and with Ottawa not providing adequate services for people experiencing homelessness and other struggles it can become inhabited by people with these struggles. Without contributing factors this would be fine but the Beer Store next to the park can result in significant public drunkenness, drug use, risky behaviors, and fights.

well after delivering edible flowers to a nearby establishment. I picked up a single can from the convently located beer store and enjoyed it, well I visited this colorful park🤔 Minutes into my visit I was greeted by a man with a baby crocodile....just holding it in his hands. needle park is worth the trip! Bring the kids... 👪there's a great play structure, with a fence. all in all beautiful historic park..... True story

A small neighbourhood park with a few paths and a small playground. There are benches lining the paths which may be a good place to have lunch outdoors and people watch. Bins are also available to throw our your trash.

A very sad and shameful place that the city of Ottawa pretends doesn’t exist. It has so much potential for community use but no one here cares that it’s terrifying and full of drugs. Classic Ottawa mentality.

It's a great park but unfortunately there are many people who drink in the park and there's been numerous fist fights outside of the fenced in kids park but still close enough and loud enough that kids see and hear it!! Other than that it's a great park

I had to meet and have lunch with a friend and got a free show from the police running around after drunks and crack heads . So if your looking for place to drink and pass out underneath a nice tree or on a bench this is the place to go

Mostly people drinking there at night, but it has beautiful trees, chess tables, and a park for kids. Right across the street from the beer store (convenient) and also a historically significant building which has to do with the Cold War!

This is a horrible park. Plenty of drunk people (including many natives), drug users etc. The beer store across the street feeds all the problems. If you ever wonder why 50% of the women in prison are native, this is the place to see why.

across from the beer store, so you often see people in the park, would avoid going too at night if you're alone. However, theres often a police vehicle around the corner.

Nice quiet little park in the heart of Ottawa. It's quiet and comfortable. Lots of garbage cans and plenty of benches to sit in. The kids part of the park was fenced so no little runners could make it into the road. It is a nice stop to relax and catch your breathe during a day out.

Lovely little park in the heart of the city. There is a wonderful collection of community groups that meet here every Wednesday afternoons for a drumming circle.

Many great experiences talking with peer support and CMHA social workers in this beautiful park. They do a good job at maintenance but still wear shoes :-/

"There is a park that is known for the face it attracts Colorful people whose hair on one side is swept back The smile on their faces, it speaks of profound inner peace Ask where they're going, they'll tell you nowhere They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park." This is paisley park... such a great vibe. Music, people, dogs, kids. Worth a visit on a sunny afternoon.

This is what happens when you get on a bike path. All of a sudden you're somewhere that you didn't know you were. And then you get to spend the rest of the day talking about how beautiful it was

I wish the weather here in Ottawa will be nice at all times, but is not. Therefore, we have to put aside some planning and go out for a walk in the good weather and fresh air. Dundonald park is filled with old good trees that create fresh air, but people who spend time here, smoke heavily, forcing you to go away and keep going.

Beautiful park, especially during the day. After 9 p.m. a lot of homeless people who hang out together.

Better to visit in the morning it can be a bit sketchy in the evenings. Also the smell from the garbage/recycling can be pretty bad you can smell it halfway across the park sometimes especially on a hot day.

Nice playground for little ones, but park was loaded with degenerates drinking and carrying on in the courtyard. Apparently this is pretty common. Known to the locals as "Crackhead park."

The worst park I've seen in a long time the only good thing about it is they have a nice little playground and some flowers besides that I've seen people get stabbed beat up beer bottle smashed all over the place fighting arguing police there everything I wish they'd clean it up but I guess that's what the community like s

I think this park will get more high ratings if the neighborhood and the locals get transformed. Someone else made an excellent suggestion to move the Beer Store far away from this park. One light of hope and peace is the Bible Study that takes place on Saturday, amidst the chaos all around them. We’ll see what happens…

We went to this park with our own launchers to sit in the shade and ordered food from Chinatown and ate in the park socially distanced from everybody it was a nice date day. Tim Hortons across the street was open to get nice warm or cool beverages as well as use the washrooms

It's a quiet oasis in the city. The park borders a beautiful neighbourhood ... and is a few blocks away from one of Ottawa's more depressed areas. I frequented the park often and feel the reviews paint a harsh picture. The park has shade along its edges, a fenced playground and a central garden with some tables and trees. It serves as a nice gathering place ... as some of the neighbourhood's less afflient residents have discovered. Unfortunately, their socialization often involves the sharing of a bottle of beer or spirits. ... And, no, moving the Beer Store won't change that - it's a destination spot to sit and enjoy your beer. That said, the police VERY frequently patrol the park. The only "violence" I've witnessed is a few instances of intoxicated people yelling and taking comical swings at each other - nothing more. So, the bottom line is come and enjoy the park. Kind, friendly people is the norm
