I end up going here about once a week on one of my lunch breaks just to get some air and take a walk. A very lovely place and usually not busy at all. Very much wheelchair friendly, I have nothing but good things to say about MacDonald Gardens Park. Nicely taken care of as well. 100% would recommend.

Great big park with lots of green space to come for a walk, throw the frisbee, throw the ball etc. Multiple benches around the park, perfect to come talk with someone. Close to the 'monument' on top of the hill there's a nice view and its a cool spot for a photoshoot.

178 years ago, there was a cemetery located in this area. It's now transformed into a peaceful park, perfect for contemplation.

This is a good park located at cobourg. Comparatively, vanier park is better since it has ducks and a lake to view. You can jog in vanier park. Coming here, you can take your dog to walk, since there will be so many dog lovers here. I could say, If you want to see dogs running and playing, this is perfect one.

I don't know about the summer time (it mostly seems like a bit of a dog park) but in the winter this little green space in the heart of the city becomes the cutest, most fun small tobogganing hill in the city with safe, speedy hills on all sides. Perfect for children up to ten years of age. ❤️

In my late 40's I'm still walking this bicycle path. Started when I was like 10. Used to be so many frogs. Just found a turtle! Not many froggies any longer :(

It's beautiful, great place for kids and dogs. Beautiful picnics in the summer and sledding in the winter ❄️

A lovely neighborhood park designed at the turn of the century, which maintains its period charm. The west side is rolling lawns filled with beautiful old specimen trees. The east side is flat open grassy areas with pickup soccer games on summer afternoons, and an area set aside for off-leash dogs. Through the center runs a grove of shaded forest. The undergrowth has been cleared (as it would be in a European park) which creates a stately green cathedral in which to shelter from the hot summer sun. Benches are generously planted throughout. And a pretty summer house sits on a hill in the dead center of the park overlooking everything.

Lots of cute squirrels for your dog to chase 😅 Just kidding, it is a really lovely spot to play fetch and relax. There are almost 10 benches in the park to sit. Most of them have tables.

Nice park. Great for dogs with excellent recall, but watch for food left behind.

Great dog / walk park! Open and beautiful and well-maintained. Great view from the top of the hill for fireworks, aerial demonstrations, etc, and in winter, good for sledding.

I was unaware that so many Irish settlers are buried there! It is hoped a memorial will be placed there at some point in time.

Beautiful park. Hard to believe that its actually an old cemetery sans headstones. Well maintained.

Friendly reminder that this park was built on the grounds of an old cemetery of some of Ottawa’s first settlers in the 1800s. Have a lovely day

Great unofficial dog park AND a great sledding spot! Make sure to clean up after your pooch, and keep them on leash if people are around in the park. Other than that it's a great spot for some fetch and running around with your doggy! Make sure your pet has good recall if doing so. Friendly dog owners and a well maintained park.

Excellent park. One half is for anybody and the other half is for dog owners and you can take the 6off the leash.

Open space where you could meet friends or hold small gatherings or walk your pet. I noticed many people had their dogs and they allow dogs to be off-leash as well so a great place to meet other dog lovers.
