Nothing in their ad said there was no elevator or housekeeping service only every other day. Luckily for two octogenarians, the desk clerk carried our bags up to the second floor and a kind fellow customer carried them down. Little around for dining. Bus service a long walk. We had no car. However beds were comfortable and breakfast good. Front desk people helpful. I will never use Comfort Inns again.

Staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay and went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. The room and bathroom was clean, bright and recently renovated. The bed was super comfy. I stayed in a lower-level room, and the non-carpet floors are a really nice touch. Hot breakfast was a huge bonus I was not expecting. Overall excellent accommodations, lovely staff, warm and welcoming and will definitely stay here again when I am in the Ottawa area.

It was all the we needed, 2 queen size beds, clean bathroom, good breakfast, close to some great museums. Check in staff were good, staff helping with breakfast were great. If your on the lower level, they give you parking right outside your room window, super convenient for luggage in and out of the room. WiFi and TV is great entertainment. No swimming pool and gym, etc. You may not need if your doing sight seeing all day and just want to come back and rest. Ice dispenser felt good for some cold water. Fridge seemed like it wasn't working well. We didn't use it much anyway. Overall good experience!

The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly good and the room was well cleaned each day. The only frustrating point was the failure to refresh the tea bags I used each day.

This hotel came highly recommended from a work colleague who stayed there during a number of business trips. I must say I was not disappointed. The employee at the check-in counter "Meaka" was very welcoming on check-in and always greeted me as I entered and exited the hotel daily over my 3 week stay. She made me feel very welcomed. Housekeeping kept my room very clean for the most part, they were also very courteous and friendly. A very good selection when it came to breakfast and staff working the breakfast area were also very friendly. I have no complaints and will definitely stay there again on my next trip. Cudos to you all for a job well done! You have my thanks.

This hotel is small, but mighty! It is located both next to the highway and the St. Laurent mall. It is also very close to downtown Ottawa. It is a pet friendly hotel, so be sure to specifically book a pet friendly room, which will be on the ground floor with sliding doors to the outside. This is convenient for the obvious washroom needs of your pet. You can also park your car right in front of the sliding door, which makes unpacking/packing your stuff and unloading/loading your pet a breeze! Check in and check out were super easy! Breakfast: top notch!! Great variety of food. Room: Very clean! Beds were comfy. I even put in a specific request for a birthday sign and balloons, and the hotel honoured this request! Although I did not need this, the hotel does have items, such as toothbrushes, slippers, and those types of toiletries upon request at the front desk. Hotel overall: The hotel was very clean, smelled great, and totally served our needs! If you need a hotel to use as a “base camp”, meaning, a place to eat, sleep, and shower, this is the perfect hotel and the rates are great also! Highly recommend!!!

No smoking approach is great. Aside from this nothing really remarkable or outstanding. Usual hotel with standart breakfast and rooms. Not expensive.

Part work trip, part summer vacation with kids and dog in tow. A dog friendly room was available for a fee - no extra fee for the two kids even though they're more messy than the pup! Needed to request extra towels for the room as only one set was provided. Linens for the pull out sofa bed had not been changed. Upon request a clean blanket was provided - staff did offer to replace all our linens when I asked for a clean blanket, but I said it was not necessary. Trn minute walk to St Laurent Mall and transit. Free breakfast available though not suitable for anyone with dietary restrictions: scrambled eggs, bacon, waffle maker and bakery case items with dairy/egg ingredients. Apple/Orange juice and black coffee were much appreciated in the morning. Mini fridge was clean and spacious. Microwave was clean, easy to use. Blowdryer and clothing iron in room.

Decent hotel for a decent price. Breakfast was better than what I've had in higher ranked hotels this past year. Staff also was very kind and accommodating.

Upon entering the hotel to check in, the receptionist was on a personal phone call and made us wait before assisting. Once we arrived in the very cramped room, it was some how both very cold and also humid/moist at the same time. The bathroom had cardboard screwed to the ceiling to cover a hole, there was hair clogging the drain, and there were stains on the bed sheets. Breakfast offered a lot of great options for the entire family, so that was a redeeming factor in the morning.

I usually book Comfort Inn when I travel for the free breakfast and all day free coffee and teas. There are no swimming pool or gym facilities in these hotels. Our 2 double bed room was spacious enough with a large screen TV, large desk and sample drawers for clothes. There was an ironing board and iron and a mini fridge. It is disappointing that the mini fridge does not have a freezer compartment for our ice packs. There are roadside motels that have better mini fridges than Comfort Inn...sad. The beds were comfortable and the washroom was well stocked with towels and a hairdryer. There was a shampoo and conditioner dispenser on the shower wall...very nice surprise. The chamber maid who replaced the empty conditioner and restocked our towels was sooo friendly and helpful, which makes up for the very stoic and serious front desk staff. Tip: A smile for the guests, especially when checking in, is welcoming. Refill the lemon infused water container when empty...was empty for too long. Keep serving boiled eggs for breakfast... I was told that was being removed from the menu.

If you are going to visit Ottawa and use UBER, busses or train this is the spot to book! Just outside of the downtown core but it has all you need! Within walking distance of great transportation and shopping. We loved the location and has non-issue with the property. Staff were friendly and efficient. Win, win, win!

The receptionist on the night of thurs 16/11 to 17/11 was rude. I called for my friend because she doesn't speak english well and I asked the receptionist a couple questions as if I was my friend (the guest that was staying in the room). She was really nice and happy to help. I called again 40 mins later, told her that I was a friend of the guest and I wanted to know if she could check out + get her refund of the second night since she paid at the reception and not online. She was so rude and had so much attitude as if I was disturbing her???? She repeated herself like I was slow or something????? Also, my friend went to the reception to leave the room key but the receptionist wasn't there. When I told her about it, she was giving more attitude as if I wanted to make her job harder? I mean, she just wanted to check out

My first overview of the room, it was not entirely clean. There was sand and debris build up in corners and an empty chip bag under the air conditioner that was left from the previous guests. The bed was so hard I questioned it for a box spring and the pillows were so light they were practically air. The bathroom fan wasn't working so after a shower or bathroom visit it was rather unpleasant. They had also removed one of the two-way doors in between the rooms, which I understand may have been for liability purposes, however, we heard everything next to us as the door did not insulate the sounds whatsoever. Listening to family of 6+, half being children was not enjoyable to say the least. Above all else, I had to pay addional costs for having a dog and requesting a king bed; as my husband and I are over 6ft. So the advertised $159 a night became $189 a night, and one of those nights we didn't even have my dog as he was in the Animal Hospital resting post-surgery, a surgery we travelled 800km for. For $189 a night, plus municipality fees and HST.. not worth it.

Book a room at this Comfort Inn. The experience is extremely wonderful. When I Checked in on Jul 21. Front desk staff is very nice and welcoming. He even come up to my room to fix the AC. Between Jul 21 and July 25 (My Stay). The breakfast is extremely wonderful. (Especially the coffee). On Jul 22;23 and 24, some of front desk staff even answered pretty well with all questions that I had. (Includes the transportation part). My room is upstairs. King bed. Bed and Pillow are extremely comfortable. Bathroom is nice and clean. I guess the only 2 tiny minor improvements would be maybe put an extra light in some of rooms (My Room 204 when I open the room, even open the light besides the door, still feels a little darker). Second improvement would be trying to make the mini fridge a little better that would be perfect. But I MUST SAY GOOD JOB OVERALL COMFORT INN. WISH I COULD GIVE MORE STARS. CERTAINLY 10/10. 100/100 AND I WILL CERTAINLY BOOK COMFORT INN AGAIN WHEN I VISIT OTTAWA IN THE FUTURE.

We had stayed here lots a few years ago. We were excited to stay again recently, especially as they had renovated. 1. Customer service is not as friendly as they used to be, in check-in. It used to be home from home. We were warmly welcomed in the past. This customer service team were far from it. 2. There was no tea/coffee/sugar etc and no cups of any kind. Had to go to the front desk to ask for a couple of paper cups from a drawer behind the front desk. It was a hot day and for $177 (plus pet fee) I'd expect to be able to get myself a glass of water without having to leave the room. 3. No hairdryer. 4. The fridge barely was working. It wasn't keeping our milk cold at all. 5. On checking out, they used to do the room check right away in order to put the final charge/return deposit. I had to request the staff to check the room and it was super quiet with two people on the desk. I'm short. The decor has been updated though our room had some weird purple thing going on but the customer service and items provided in room has seriously downgraded. Hospitality? I'm super disappointed. It's not normal. We stayed in a different comfort inn 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after and all the cups/coffee/hairdryer etc were available. Not happy.

Was just about to book here, called ahead and noticed the prices were higher than advertised, i asked and the receptionist said that he was charging extra for rooms because there were few left. What a crook. Never staying here. Edit for Manager: No thank you a 3 star in your area offered to beat your rate 5 minutes after i got off the phone with you. Wake up. Nobody wants to pay $450 for 2 nights at a comfort Inn

Stayed there for a work trip, the hotel is currently under renovations so there is limited parking and the hotel is louder then normal. They Pre Auth a security deposit and it has been almost 5 days And I am still waiting for it to be cancelled (most frustrating part about the stay here)

  • 1/5 Mario M. 2 years ago on Google
Nice room and good location BUT ! I booked for 2 nights but THEN no room avaible for the second night . I booked two nights for 110$ each but now Im charged 180$ for only 1 night! PLUS there is an extra hidden fee for dogs 30$. NO BREAKFAST (covid bs excuse). Dont book here unless you want to sleep in a Park. Also I had to wait 20 minutes outside because the room was not ready at 5 p.M. . Dust under the bed. Desk dont know how to deal with angry customers.

Decent stay but building kinda run down… that said they are starting major renovations so hopefully it will soon be all updated and looking fresh. The front desk staff are 5 star for sure, very friendly. In terms of the room, the beds were very comfortable but pillows were terrible, there was newer carpet in our room, air conditioning worked well, bathrooms were clean and well stocked with extra towels but fan was loud and is connected to light so no option to turn it off… a separate switch would be better. Hotel has an overall old feel. There is not much within walking distance however its only about 10 minutes from downtown. The hotel was clean with friendly staff and ok rooms, but I do think I expected a better more updated hotel for the amount we paid…. Overpriced for what it is. Maybe when renos are complete it will better bang for the buck. Until then id personally book elsewhere next time. Thanks tho to the friendly staff!

Of course I come here and they put me next to the girl taking clients all night in room 112 December 19. I’m so over Ottawa I won’t be coming here, this is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Confirm inn do better with who you allow in your hotels. Every corner girl doesn’t need to be here selling themselves sheesh ! And gross
