Nice place. Didn't start great arrived from Toronto Friday night around 10:30 was told you have to park across the street. I think the staff that was working at the front desk that night enjoyed watching us unload the car at the front door and carry everything up to our room. But moving on the hotel it's self was nice however if you get suite 215 your view is going to be of a wall... Beds are good and the room it's self was clean. Hotel does a nice little breakfast about the same as any other hotel. Nothing from this hotel really stands out. Just a normal hotel. I did have to take a cold shower the one night but I think the had some type of boiler problem and when we came back to the room after dinner we had hot water again.

Great hotel and suites in the downtown area, Sara at front desk was very friendly and very easy to chat with when booking over phone and checking in, super friendly staff elsewhere in hotel, very clean, following all Covid-19 protocols, we stayed in a suite, it was large, modern and clean, wanted a toaster and the brought one up within minutes of asking, comfortable bed and amenities in room, 10 minute walk to parliament buildings - again, worth repeating, very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and well organized throughout - this location is highly recommended!

Truly loved my stay here. Although brief, the staff was helpful and friendly. They chatted with me about many things. The room was beautiful. I also love when there is a channel list, talk about amazing. The shower was able to actually get hot and had decent water pressure. The beds and pillows weren't too firm and were just right for comfort. Absolutely loved my stay. I'll be back!

Just got back home from another business trip to downtown Ottawa (December 10 -13, 2019). As always, I stayed at the Best Western Downtown Suites and as always this hotel never fails to deliver! A clean, modern and well decorated room, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchenette including a great coffee machine with plenty of K-cups and teas supplied along side. It doesn't stop there, the lobby area was seasonally decorated with a real Christmas tree and beautiful flowers. The lobby smelled wonderful. The breakfast room was inviting, clean and offered many food choices (hot and cold) as always. This room is a nice place to relax with a coffee and chat or watch the news on the many big screens that are strategically located while filling up on breakfast. It's always nice to see the familiar friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant at this hotel. To me this speaks volumes about the management's commitment to looking after their employees. Lastly, the underground parking was spotless and is well lighted. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in downtown Ottawa. Among the many restaurants located within walking distance from this hotel, I recommend a great seafood restaurant located at Bank and Gladstone called the Whalebone (suggest you reserve a table). It's a fun evening out and a unique dining experience. Hope this review helps. Happy holidays everyone.

We arrived after a red eye flight and were surprised that they already had a room ready for us. It made all the difference to be able to get our room at 10 am as opposed to 3 pm. Their service was also attentive and excellent. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel has extremely friendly staff. They were very accommodating to our needs (required outdoor parking rather than underground). They also have appropriate safety measures in place with covid. The room was very comfortable and everything was in walking distance to what we did get to see in our short stay. Would highly recommend!

Good hotel with nice room. AC was not at full capacity but front desk provided us with extra fan. Room service was great and mini kitchen was really nice. Went through a bit of hiccup as hotels.com mentioned free parking but that was only street parking that was hard to find. But other than that we liked the hotel and customer service

We came to Ottawa, for my mother in laws funeral. Marc, from the front desk, did everything possible to lessen the financial impact on our families (even redirecting me to a website, Ottawa tourism, to give us even better savings.) While we stayed here, the staff were so caring and very professional. We were in a queen suite and it was very comfortable and spacious, for 3 adults. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and their greatest asset...the staff. Thank you everyone

Stayed here a few times during work related travel. Always very clean rooms and common spaces. Breakfast is a nice addition as well. It would be great if it started a bit earlier through the workweek, but that's due to being a very early riser. In addition, the last two times I stayed here, getting a taxi in the morning seems to take a VERY long time, even when I ask in advance. Something to keep in mind if you need to depart early. Overall, great hotel 😉

5 stars for the breakfast, room price and the location. The breakfast is my favorite part, where a variety of high quality bakery, crepe, patties, fruits are provided as buffet. We rented a suite for 100+ and share in 4 people. While other hotels charge a high additional guest fee, this hotel charged rather reasonably. The suite has a sofa bed that can turn into a comfortable queen size bed. One only caveat is that the blanket could be thin to you, but you can always get extra blankets by calling the front desk.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have generally been satisfied. I was pleased to experience the hotel and find that everything was working well and that the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was perfect even if the bathroom could use some updating which was a bit annoying. If a free breakfast is offered it should have some variety and "hot" items should be hot. That is my only complaint and I will definitely return .

Overall the hotel was great. Nice decor in room, very comfy bed, staff was kind, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Only the breakfast made it less than 5 stars. I missed having a real plate (although I liked that they were composting and recycling), and when asked if the egg omelet was gluten free I had to look at the ingredients... just to say I miss having just cheese and eggs and a bit of milk in a cheese omelet.

Our first stay here and very pleased with this hotel. Very clean, higher end accents, super friendly staff and a great breakfast that includes some hot items. Lots of amenities within walking distance. Easy access to the downtown tourist areas and a museum right next door. We would stay at this spot again in a heartbeat it's been great!

This was our first time staying at a Best Western hotel and we were very impressed. The hotel, guest room, and lobby area were very clean and well kept. There is an under ground garage parking area for guest and an elevator to go from the parking area straight up to your floor so it was easy to move around with luggage and kids. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

An excellent stay, central and convenient. Very clean and comfortable rooms and staff always had a smile on their face:) Tight underground parking, but our large struck fit non the less. Don't be late for breakfast as the doors closes 9:30am sharp. Loved the new bathroom and kitchenette!
