Lots of big positives, a few small negatives. The pool is a BIG positive for me because it's big enough to swim laps in (for those of us with spine issues, swimming is IMPORTANT). The negative there: no hot tub (but hot tubs have liability and maintenance costs that I understand). The rooms are large and clean, the beds are comfortable (I still need special pads because of my spine, but "normal" people should find them very comfortable), and I REALLY appreciated the walk-in showers instead of tubs (that NO ONE EVER uses to take a bath). That said, the floor of our shower was tilted and slippery when wet (a design issue that really does need to be addressed). Internet was fast and TV options were good. The free breakfast is definitely above average (did that every day), but the dinner (while not "bad") was not what I would call a good price/quality mix. Finally, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very family friendly with kitchen and utensils. It is also very spacious. Our suite featured a large sofa bed and a dining space. The hotel has an indoor pool and the water was fairly warm when we were there. The hotel staff are the best. Alice and Jeremie are both very helpful and understanding as they accommodated many of our questions and requests. Will definitely go back next time we visit Ottawa.

We stayed at this hotel to give us room to do an early family celebration of Christmas. One of our family has mobility issues and we wanted a Suite to ensure a comfortable visit. Chris at the front desk, from calls weeks before, to day we checked in and out was there for us. Outstanding and I mean outstanding personal service. We had a fantastic visit. Hotel restaurant was great and every staff member we met was gracious professional and helpful. Thank you all.

Clean and spacious rooms along with super friendly staff are what everyone hopes to get out of any downtown hotel, but it doesn't always work that way. In my experience, this place definitely delivers. I definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area. Thank you Homewood staff for a wonderful stay!

Nice breakfast considering the Covid-19 situation. Large and comfy room with lots of amenities, although our room furniture was a bit run down. Nice pool, we enjoyed it every day. Expensive parking considering that the parking in front was 15$ a day. Also, it is a bit far to the sightseeings excursions and the downtown mall. Almost 25 minutes by foot with kids, back and fort that's almost an hour to do something. Considering the parking price at the hotel we didn't feel paying another 50$ a day just for parking.

Location was great and the service was superb! Included breakfast was very tasty as well as the meals at the Tulip restaurant and bar. The soaps are in large refillable containers which is great for a sustainable/green standpoint but was disappointed when the conditioner was empty. The concierge and bar tender were the real stand outs and make me highly recommend staying here.

Homewood Suites is a great choice for families. The daily included Breakfast Buffet is a great savings. The building has a nice decor with great working features like elevators and sliding doors. The public washrooms were all perfectly clean at all times. The pool and fitness centre are well maintained and great assets to the hotel. The hallways are wide and clean.

An excellent family getaway. Clean rooms and courteous service. Would recommend getting 2 bedrooms or 2 full beds if you have a family of 4. Sofa bed makes it cramped quarters. Breakfast service is very good, as is food service at Tulip restaurant. Large size pool and spacious gym allow for indoor activities when your not going out. Parking available in the building. A definite repeat on our next visit.

We stayed here last week. We were met at reception by Caleb who made us feel immediately welcome. Our room was fantastic and we were impressed with the full size fridge in the suite. The pull out couch was as comfortable as I imagined and our son slept well and then I swapped for the last two nights. 😁 The pool was lovely and big enough. We didn't use the gym but it's open 24/7. We did not eat at the restaurant but other guests mentioned that it was very good. Parking was $25 daily which we felt was fair. The buffet breakfast was good and provided all you need to start your day. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Ottawa. Loved it.

Amazing experience, excellent customer service. Friendly staff and overall clean and elegant atmosphere. We came in January 19ish with my 2 giant huskies. Me, my family and my dogs love the place so much. Additionally, breakfast was included and was so delicious, clean and well organized. The hotel located in the heart of Ottawa’s downtown with access to lots of amenities. I really recommend this iconic hotel and will definitely comeback again.

Check in was quick and efficient. They've got underground on-site parking (extra $25/night with in/out privileges). It may seem steep but its downtown and I assure you the location is excellent. Breakfast was included and there's a variety of choices. There's always eggs, meat(bacon, Sausage, or sausage patty ..different one each day), potatoes, pancakes/banana bread pudding plus things you'll find at a continental breakfast(croissants, danishes, cereal, oatmeal). Coffee, milk, juices were included. The restaurant downstairs has a good ambiance and food was tasty. A bit pricey but a nice treat. Our room was spacious and clean. We traveled with our 3 year old and she had a blast. Her favorite was the pool and Donna-Lee at the front desk, her new best friend. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Checkout was a breeze. We loved our stay there and it will be our go to place when we visit Ottawa again.

First impression on check-in so so. Impossible to get access to pool in the evening as all 20 passes are gone and people apparently forget to return them. Room spacious but floor dirty. View good. Called restaurant to order food 10 minutes before closure, they walked away from the phone for whole 10 minutes without a word, then hung up on me. I will update this review after our stay. Hoping to add more stars. UPDATE: Adding 2 more stars. Mopping the floor was easy enough and the rest of our suite is clean and in great condition (recently renovated?) Restaurant and pool issues are not a big deal either. There are other restaurants nearby. For pool access, just need to get up early to snatch one of the passes for the day. A room with view is a must as the view is gorgeous.

Great Service when needed. You can speak to as many people or as few as you would prefer. For the parking pass, you need to ask for a ticket at the front desk. That was not very clear before or upon arrival. There are also only 2 elevators serving 15+ floors of Hotel, so with Covid Protocols, be prepared to wait your turn. Location is great. Rooms are Huge. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. I would stay here again.

Today is my fifth day of staying in this awesome memorable hotel. I am changing my rating from 4 to 5 starts. The reason is the great and professional staff who are currently working here. Especially the manager of the hotel who is great at resolving the issues happening. If this hotel had the cooked to order breakfast, that was great. The location is excellent. Great and helpful staff and managers.

The place is really amazing! I would of given a 5 stars however 2 things could be improved. #1- the bedroom had a good temperature, but the living room was cold no matter what I did. #2- so I came late for breakfast but the food was still available, I asked to grab a muffin and a croisant and the chef rudely said no. (the door was open) I've tried to plead with him as these items would have no impact on his job and the food would go to waist. He still refused and no one could do anything about it. Other then that the service was good, the place is well located and I would refer friends to this hotel

The hotel it's self was great, nice rooms, lobby, and food. The real problem was staff, cleanliness in rooms, and overall service. Over the phone, it was conveyed to the staff that we would be coming earlier than the check-in time and that we requested to be entered to our room before our check-in, despite this... upon arrival, we waited 2-3 hours from our estimated time to early check-in from the staff. Once we passed check-in to the room, the room itself was much more of a nightmare than check-in, the dishwasher said it would have clean dishes in it upon arrival but was found to have dirty dishes inside, leading my young daughter to almost use a dirty plate left by previous residents. On top of that, when entering the bedroom, a pee stain or some kind of liquid was found on a bed sheet! truly unexceptable at a hotel charging over $200 a night!

This hotel has a great location. It's a short walk to Parliament, parks, shops, museums and restaurants. The airport is a short drive as well. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds and linens were comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, sometimes housekeeping does not confirm your check out time. I had my sleep interrupted two times in one overnight visit. I had to call the front desk to inform housekeeping of my late day departure. Overall, it's a great hotel with a great location and I will return.

Front desk staff at first were wonderful and professional going the extra mile! The next day a very rude East Asian lady ignored me then told me she didn’t know which food bag was mine (only one at front desk when delivery came to her) or if it was 2 bags sitting there or just 1. One of them had a different number written on it then my room. I assumed my 1 bag was correct so went back to my room only to discover the main dish was missing. Went back down and told her and she just “smirked” at me, thinking she’s just safe from any accountability. Well the guests will hold you to account. Don’t believe this small 25+ looking lady as she lies and finds it funny to inconvenience guests with no polite apology at all. Bring back the other staff way better and so nice!!

The nicest, friendliest staff. I stayed with husband and two young kids, staff did everything to accommodate us. Everyone was so thoughtful and caring, especially Allen at reception and the manager, Donna Lee. The hotel is super lucky to have them as employees! Thanks for making our stay unforgettable!!!

great hotel, excellent breakfast. Loved that we were able to take take-out containers for later as well. Meti helped me a lot this weekend in regards to my room and accommodatibg my early arrival. She was also very helpful with fixing my issues in regards to my room. Thank you Meti! If you are getting a room for 4 people, I do not recommend getting the ind suite as the sofa bed cannot fit two people comfortably. Just the honest truth, but everything else was fantastic. Security on site and everything was clean. Your car won't fit in their parking if it's a van/truck or bigger. Off site parking available, and is cheaper. Definitely will be back!

Extremely spacious suite, more like a residential apartment, not a hotel, The bedroom was very spacious as well; mattress was very comfortable, the room quiet. There’s a restaurant in the hotel lobby called Tulip, we ordered food twice, both times delicious and satisfying and I was very impressed by it. The hotel complementary breakfast was not that great, however. Everything was just ok or mediocre. Location of this hotel is very good.

We’ve arrived Sunday. I asked for housekeeping Tue in order for my room to be cleaned. Didn’t happen. The room service tray and dishes still sat on the kitchen counter since Tuesday. Wed night I asked front desk why room was not clean, did you ask 24/h prior? Yes I did I said to her. I requested for deep cleaning as their policy states every 4days. Thursday came nothing happened. Dishes still there floors not vacuumed now we have fruit flies!! I went again for the 3rd time to front desk who promised someone will be there within an hour to clean etc. we left for dinner came back late and nothing was done!!!! Very disappointed

Stayed with our family of 4 end of August 2021. Found the hotel did everything they could to keep people safe and things clean. Had a great experience. The pool is beautiful and very clean, we used it every day. Great hotel location to bike paths around town which was important to us.

Absolutely excellent hotel. Rooms are absolutely brilliant with a full kitchenette and a full size fridge and freezer and a terrific microwave and dishwasher. Washrooms are brilliant and excellent, but the only issue is the outdated TVs. Other Hilton hotels have adopted the Chromecast and streaming capability so customers can just stream their own YouTube or Netflix or any streaming service onto the TV in their rooms. But this particular hotel still has outdated TVs and even the guide doesn't work on the TV so you cannot even figure out what to watch. I hope the management of this location upgrades their TVs because other than that, this hotel is perfect. The location is excellent. The staff is fantastic and super friendly and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous.

We stayed here for a wedding with the rest of the wedding guests and what a hotel :) Fantastic service from the moment we checked in! The receptionist were always smiling and helpful. The breakfast team were fantastic and helpful. Breakfast choices were limited compared to some hotels but it meant what was provided was delicious. Quality over quantity :) The rooms were spotless and a great size with a kitchen area which had a fridge freezer electric hob, dishwasher and coffee machine. The leisure facilities are clean and open long hours. Location wise it’s a little further away from the market and shopping centre but then again it’s all walking distance or there are subways nearby. Will definitely be staying here again and surely would recommend to all :)

Beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms and top-notch customer service. Extra blankets and towels were requested and brought in a timely manner. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and lotion were of high quality. Food was good at breakfast, good selection, as was the service. Pool was large and very clean, big laundry room for guests was an added bonus! Location is excellent as well, walking distance to most attractions. One thing I should mention is that the 1 bedroom suite we had was everything we needed, however if someone is sleeping on the sofa bed in the main area, they need to go into the master bedroom ensuite to use the washroom, and there isn’t a separate light for the toilet so the light will wake most people up, so it can get a little awkward for night time bathroom visits. Overall, I find if you pay a little bit more for a Hilton, you get a lot more in return. Highly recommend.

Great stay here for 2 nights. Room was very clean and service was great. The breakfast was good with great selection. I think the line can be better managed. The location is great too. Parking fee is reasonable compared to other hotels in the neighborhood. It has height restrictions so make sure to check with hotel.

The room was clean, modern and new. We had a suite with a kitchen that included a full size fridge, a two burner cook top, a micro wave and a Keurig coffee maker. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was only OK and getting into the dining room was tightly controlled. We had to wait about two minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Now to something odd. The garbage underneath the sink was full to the top (see pic). This was more a curiosity than an annoyance and not enough to spoil our one night stay. I would recommend.

The rooms are nice. I stayed here for 11 days and the breakfast was very poor every morning. I don't recommend the breakfast, but other than that everything was great. There is also parking but it comes with a price of 25 CAD per night.

Really good location in downtown Ottawa. Our room took a while to be ready, so we requested a different room and was able to check in right after. They should really offer alternative rooms right away, instead of having us wait for two hours. Parking is great. Even though we were only staying one night, parking was valid until 6PM on the day of check-out. The rooms were really nice and spacious, even came with a kitchenette - all for a great price! Only complaint was the slow elevators. They have 2 for the whole building and only 2 people were allowed to ride at the same time.

Incredible hospitality! Asked for some walking directions and recommendations and the staff nailed it. The bar has a great beer selection and the nachos were amazing. And the bartender was a blast!!! We even had a peculiar request.... Wanted a message sent in French to my nephew and the girl working at the check in was gracious enough to write a message on a postcard to him ❤️

The hotel was new, clean with a beautiful indoor pool. The staff was the kindest, most helpful that I ever experienced. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh and nice variety. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!!!!

The staff are excellent at this hotel and management should be proud of them. I stayed here during a time of demonstrations in Ottawa and the staff worked very hard to ensure everyone was safeguarded and felt comfortable at all times. Donalee is a super star! Thanks for all your efforts!

Good location, modern & updated rooms, and friendly staff! Their hot breakfast was great, and the dinner we ordered from the Tulip Lounge downstairs was awesome! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Ottawa.

Hotel was in a good location, close to all attractions. Room was a good size and very clean. Would recommend if staying for a few days. Will definitely return next time in Ottawa.

I really enjoyed my stay at Homewood. We were there for a few days so it's great to have a suite to move around in. The large fridge and kitchen area make life more comfortable. Having breakfast included with our stay is a great convenience! We didn't try the restaurant but did have a drink a couple times when returning to the hotel. Good selection of beer and good service. The king size bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and always had a smile. I would definitely staying here again

Stayed here for 4 weeks for work. Highly recommended. Very clean and modern hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly and extremely helpful whenever you need them. They have an on-site laundry room which was a amazing! Breakfast included in my stay was also great. They offer breakfast which is made to order, even during the pandemic (you just have to eat in your room). The pool and fitness centre was closed due to the pandemic, otherwise everything was perfect.

Fantastic experience. Clean and modern amenities, the space of our suite was impressive, our family of 4 was incredibly comfortable the whole time and had access to everything we needed. The pool and gym were perfect. Breakfast was surprisingly efficient in context of health restrictions. Very good omelettes. Would not consider staying anywhere else on our next visit in Ottawa.

The worse experience I had in a hotel in over 10 years. We have been given a room that wasn’t clean, with the bedsheets and garbage from the previous guests. No excuses whatsoever from the front desk manager or anyone else. Next, we asked for a blanket for our son. It took us 4 calls and over 1h30 to get it…at 11:00pm…to receive a shredded blanket. Two more calls and 30 more minutes to get another one… The following morning, the breakfast restaurant was a zoo. No food and coffee available at 9:00am. It took us over 30min to get horrible sausages and bagel…and green bananas. As to the coffee, since there wasn’t any, we asked for it. They made it from the bar. 10 min later, the waitress came with the bill…with nobody telling us prior to it that we would be charged for it. We tried the next morning: even worse, and no table available. We gave up the following day and had breakfast outside of your hotel…despite having breakfast included with our room. Asking for shampoo or fresh towels was a mission, as housekeeping’s phone was always hanged-up. And I pass on all the other details: 3 towels in the room for 4 people, 2 knifes in the kitchen, …

Was recently in Ottawa for a large event this weekend. The hotel was packed and everyone was checking in at the same time. Big thanks to Jeremie at the front desk for making check in fast and seamless. He was very friendly and helpful! The room itself was nice and clean! I will definitely be back!

Nice place. Was great to have a suite with a little more space, and could have the light on while child was sleeping in another room. Surprised it's only a 3-star; deserves 4. The pool is very nice. Not terribly kid-friendly though. Tiles on the deck are extra slippery and the shallow end is 4ft deep. Bring floaties. PRO TIP: google maps will take you to the opposite side of the building than the parking lot is on. Search for Advantage Parking LTD.

Stayed at the hotel with family for 3 nights. We took 1 bedroom suite and it had all the amenities to keep someone comfortable. We had a full kitchen with fridge and microwave. There was even a coffee maker and toaster in there. Two TVs - one in living room and 1 in bedroom. The dining area is huge and there is lots of seating place in the living room along with office desk and chair on the side. The food options are limited but manageable. Parking was charges 25$ for 3 night stay. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, gym and free breakfast.

Great hotel and staff. There was a lot of space for my kids to run around in the room after a long day of exploring Ottawa. We had a sofa bed in the room which was an added bonus. Good to have a kitchenette when travelling with young kids. Loved the Christmas decor!

Great value, location and service! Stayed with my family for 3 nights mid-summer 2021 and had a great stay! Staff was courteous, room was clean and very spacious for 4, and it’s a short walk to parliament buildings and other main attractions, full free breakfast served by cheerful staff! Highly recommended!

We spent 3 nights here over Christmas. It is definitely one of the top hotels we've stayed at. We found all the staff to be very kind and helpful. It's pet friendly which is great! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, as we wanted a larger room as we were bringing out dogs. The room was so spacious, we had more than enough room. It's clean, bright and friendly atmosphere.

My stay was fir 3 nights - we like this location and hotel overall is my favorite. I feel like st home. I used a fitness center every morning and the swimming pool - all facilities are very clean and has towels, filtered water, disinfecting wipes and all experience was present. Service was excellent. All people I have met was very polite and friendly.

We had a good stay. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. The little kitchen (fridge, small stovetop, microwave and some cutlery) is nice for a quick lunch and reheating food.The breakfast included is a well stocked buffet. We will probably go back at this hotel. The hotel is also well situated. Note that the "Suites" are in the same building than the rest of the hotel, the rooms are just bigger.

This hotel is situated within a 5 minute walk to the Parliament buildings and surrounded by tonnes of amenities. Cycling is amazing from this hotel. Service was absolutely amazing, and the rooms were large, spacious, modern, and clean. Parking on site is below ground and only for smaller cars less than 5'9" high. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had an extended stay here and the staff were amazing, meeting it a real home-from-home experience. We were in the Homewood Suites and the facilities were very good for a long stay, both in the room and in the hotel. The view from our room across the river to Quebec looked out onto an ever changing scene, worth the upgrade. The downtown location was perfect; as Brits we're used to walking and the location let us explore without needing a car. The bus and metro was easy to use and stops right by the hotel for those days we had tired legs.
