The only good thing about this place is its location. The place is extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Once you enter, you see a wet dirty towel on the floor as if the place had just been flooded. Wet spots cover the ceilings, there are thick layers of dust everywhere, and it's so dark inside that you can barely see anything. Honestly, this place should be investigated to see if it actually meets bed and breakfast standards.

it was a good place, I am not a fun of airbnb put I was only in town for 2 days. the location is great, close to everything. price was decent. my room is clean, I got fresh clean towels, and my sheet smell fresh . there is a tv with cable but it barely works, I was barely around so its fine. there was a leather couch as well. I will definitely stay again . but not more than 2 or 3 days.

The lodging canceled our reservation the day before traveling and booked our room right after. This is despite having valid payment info and having booked in advance. When my wife called to ask why this happened they were rude to her over the phone. Simply unacceptable

We stayed for a night to see the Tulip festival on Saturday. The place is a modified old house which looked very old from outside but as we went inside the room (#2)was very good and decent looking compared to my first impression .Very clean room and a spacious washroom as well.Reasonable price. Very clean fresh linen.Spacious for a couple. The room had a big comfortable couch and a coffee table too which I liked a lot. They have a microwave and a kettle in a common area if you want to use.You need to take your own tea/coffee. There was a big fridge inside the room. Staff is very helpful and nice. The place is a short walk from Parliament hill area. Also a doable walk to Tulip festival as well if you love long walks.Limied free overnight parking on the premises enough for 2 cars. Not sure what would happen if more than 2 comes.Better inquire before you go.Lot of street parking but not sure how it works. Overall a very clean room for a peaceful night sleep.

Pros: Allowed for a late checkin. The staff were friendly. Bedding smelt freshly laundered. Mini fridge was cold. No signs of bedbugs. Good location if you don't get stabbed and/or robbed. Cons: No breakfast (that was advertised) "due to covid". No AC (that was advertised). Thin doors (with no deadbolts) and walls. Room was badly constructed (doors not fitting frames, uneven floors etc). Reaked of weed. Lots of local "diabetics". Felt like we were sleeping in the hood. Overall: if you need a place to stay for a night and do not have small children or individuals who would not be able to fend for themselves, then this location can work. If you stay, I would recommend bringing someone slower than you (who you are ok with losing) just in case. Unless you want to experience breaking bad first hand (i.e. the Wendy episode) then if you have the funds for a better location, you should pay the extra money.

Got my reservation cancelled with no warning 1 day before my trip. Called to fix it less than 3 hours after getting an email about the cancellation and they had already reserved my room for someone else.

This place is by far one of the worst places we had stayed at with horrible management and bad service when we just had asked to get the proper room. We showed up expecting 2 full sized beds for 3 adults and instead we were given a small room with 1 full sized bed, and when we asked the not polite manager told us he could give us something the next day. We were in shock for a little then went to go find him to talk to him again to ask if something else was available and he didn't allow us in and we had to stand outaide in the cold for 40 minutes telling him that it was unacceptable. After the 40 minutes in the cold he had an "apartment" for us which was Another walking distance and let us stay there. Being 3 in the morning we just wanted to rest so we took it just to be more surprised! It looked like a place to put all there extra equipment, all filthy and was a huge fire hazard to! There was no fire alarm, the exit was blocked by everything as well! And it was just dirty, filthy, nasty and it smelled bad! Also our toilet paper was being held by a plastic bag and chop sticks! But the worst part of it all was the manager that night he basically started to blame us for his mistake in booking. All he had to do from the start is say I'm sorry we overbooked and we don't have your room, instead he blamed us and was extremely rude. Trying to save money by staying here is not worth it at all!

I had a double bedroom with shared bathroom, including breakfast. A Bed was so cozy and enough for 2 people. It was like king size. Room was clean and satisfying. Just except shared bathroom, everything was perfect. The thing was you should care for time to wash during the morning cause all guests share one bathroom, which is on the second floor. Service was great too! I'd like to recommend you this guest house, which is more like hotel.

My experience at Voyager Guest House was terrible. First of all, I've booked the room with two beds since it was only one available at that moment. Upon arrival I get the key from administrator, and for my surprise it was a room with one bed, small and terrible designed. When I requested to give me the room I've booked, I get an answer that I'm traveling alone and obviously do not need the room with two beds. Only after I have found the confirmation of booking with room description and pointed out that it is cheating to offer the room completely different, the administrator admitted his mistake and changed the room. I had hair in that room everywhere: on my pillows, bedsheets, even in the shower. I can assume that rooms are not cleaned regularly at that place. So my advice for possible travelers to book any other place to stay. Voyager Guest House may offer cheap price, but no customer service and hospitality at all. It is also not safe place to stay for single females. Rooms are cold and noisy, you can hear everything what is going on inside the house or outdoors. So no silence even at night. I moved out at 1am not being able to sleep at relax. Please, don't do my mistake again and avoid this place, you can find better hotel for the same price in Ottawa

Stopped in for one night. Meet Charles the very warm and friendly receptionist. He set me up with a clean and comfortable room for a great price. Convenient location just a few blocks from Bank St.

If you just want to say one night. It is manageable. Service and amenities are poor.

I was not impressed with this place at all. There was only one bathroom offered to us. In the morning someone was having a (very long) shower, and I really needed to use the toilet. There definitely needed to be another 2 piece bath offered. There was a small T.V in the room, however, it did not work! There was no decorating at all. Very bland boring looking. The breakfast, We were never given a choice. It was warm bread ( toast?) with an egg dish and some home fries. It was handed to us as we sat down; there was no other choices. I had 1/2 cup coffee, and then no more coffee was provided. There was no free parking, so I had to park on the street. My car windows were smashed and my car was ransacked during the middle of the night. I should have requested my money back. I would NEVER recommend this place.

For the price of this place, it ainโ€™t worth it. For around 40 more dollars you can live in a much more formal hotel in the downtown area. This so called โ€œhotelโ€ is only a house with multiple rooms. With little to no air conditioning in the summer, I wouldnโ€™t recommend here as it felt like a furnace in my room. The staff was nice enough to provide a fan, and washroom supplies. Itโ€™s relatively close to downtown and for me thats the only upside of the place

We made our reservation online. We had a wonderful stay here, it served our purpose well! This was our first bed and breakfast experience. The breakfast was great and the owner was lovely. I would do this again if we needed a place to stay in Ottawa. It's right by the Greyhound, it's a smart choice for any bussing travelers!

We didnโ€™t even stay the night after our booking because the lack of cleanliness. Sheets and mattress were stained plus we found a dirty glove in between the sheets when we first arrived.

I went to visit my sister who is a month month renter and while sitting on the porch the wife of the owner came over recording us yell at my sister that there are no visitors allowed and that is my mother and I didn't leave she was going to kick my sister out. A couple days later we went back to pick her up and while .y sister was getting her bags for Laundry we were helping an again the lady came back yelling at my sister. When we dropped her off after Laundry the lady was in my sister's room waiting for her. Very unprofessional thankful that my sister found accommodations else where. STAY AT OWN RISK!!!

๐Ÿ˜  Awful experience. There was a man in the house who were really disrespectful (I donโ€™t know if it is the other manager or her companion).
