I could spend hours mesmerized by details inside. Breakfast was delicate, excellent service. The room was clean and also had an amazing fireplace that we lit up at night. Comfortable and cozy ambient. Coffee and tea available. It made our stay in Ottawa feel like home.

Had the most wonderful preparation for my wedding and then honeymoon here! Most splendid time and our host was the most gracious lady one could ever hope for! The beautiful was inspiring and the whole time was magical in such a wonderful inn. Told my whole wedding about the graces of this family and their Inn!

Quaint and comfy. Stellar staff! Fabulous breakfasts. We appreciated the location for its walkability to ByWard Market and downtown Ottawa. Would definitely stay there again!

Fine Victorian Inn, named after a family that formerly owned it and left a legacy. Excellent location, surpassed our expectations in every way, each room is unique, breakfast had lovely selections and beautiful presentation Note that payment is made by credit card or cash, no debit available

A friendly and cosy place to stay with a décor to match. The staff here are lovely and very accommodating to your needs, and the breakfast included is really good (an amazing deal compared to what hotels offer).

A great location and a unique atmosphere - incomparable to most of the bigger hotels. I spent several days there on my work trip and appreciated the walking distance to both the work venue and Ottawa downtown. Rooms are supplied with anything you need, accordingly to, and even beyond, such hotel category. Coffee or tea together with some sweets are available for free throughout the day. Beds were slightly worn out but comfortable.

What a wonderful and unique stay! We stayed for three nights and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. This is a beautiful old home, so if you are not used to creaky floorboards, this may not be the place for you, but provide great character and history of the home. Our room was well stocked with bathroom amenities, and they assured our TV was functioning (although we did not need it). A/C was functioning well during our stay and the room stayed cool while we were out. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. They provide you various options for breakfast and served you at your table (see pictures). Each breakfast was delicious and warm. We will be returning to the Inn when we come back to Ottawa.

This was my very first time in Canada and I wanted to stay some where "different". I was looking around and I found McGee's Inn. I have never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast so I wasn't to sure what to expect. When my wife and I first arrived you see the building is ventage which I enjoy. The staff there was extremely friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We stay in the "Egyptian" room. Let me just say that was the best sleep I've had in a long time. The room was really big, clean and a lot of extras! When we checked in we were asked "What time would you like to have breakfast" My wife and I are morning people so we picked the earliest time. When we got to breakfast we were welcomed with soft music and our waitress was extremely friendly and sweet. My wife had the crepes and I had the eggs with sausage. 10/10 for the food. The owners! We met them as we were finishing up our breakfast and we chatted for about 10 minutes before we walked the town of Ottawa. Jason and Sarah Armstrong are the most welcoming people I have ever met. In the breakfast area there is a book there about the history of McGee's Inn and when the Armstrong's bought the Inn. You can see that this place is there home away from home. They have put so much time and effort to make this place the best stay you can have in Ottawa. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I had a couple more nights to enjoy the stay and that breakfast!

My Husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the McGee’s Inn! We stayed in the beautiful Egyptian room. It was the perfect home away from home. ☺️ It was my husbands first time in Canada so the location was just perfect as I we were close to EVERYTHING! The staff and the owners of this Inn are extremely welcoming and kind. ☺️ Again we could not have picked a better Inn for our trip to Canada. We will for sure be coming back! 🇨🇦 🍁

The inn is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very nice and welcoming and the room we chose, rhe Victorian room, was so romantic and beautiful. The breakfast included was delicious. It's a 20min walk from parliament hill and other museums. I highly recommend if you are in Ottawa!

Loved our stay here. The check in process was easy and the staff are lovely. Our room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast offered great choices and was delicious. Would definitely stay again! Edit: stayed a 2nd time and my stay was just as lovely. My room was super comfortable and well decorated. The staff was friendly and the breakfast delicious. This time I had the maple syrup crêpes. Parking out front is very convenient.

The Bed and Breakfast exceeded my expectations. The room is elegant and clean. In fact, the whole property is well maintained and classy. The location is fantastic, close to the Parliament Hill, eateries and the shopping mall. Breakfast is homey. We loved our stay and would come back if we visit again. There's quite a bit of houseless people in the area due to the shelter near the inn. Most don't bother people. Just one guy came up to us and asked for changes. We just waved him away. We didn't stay out late so we didn't experience any problem. It's the capital, so lots of police patrol the area.

An absolute gem in the heart of downtown Ottawa!!! Very Warm and welcoming experience. The staff take the time to help you with any questions you may have and are very knowledgeable of the city. The food was great and the service was even better. The experience this place has given us has guaranteed repeat business and we will definitely recommend this place to friends.

When I travel I dream of places for rest and an intuitive sense that I have 'come home.' That is exactly what Auberge McGee Inn provides, a sense of coming home. The breakfasts are abundant with choices of crepes or Benedict, Ham omelettes and more. The rooms are a joy to explore and I was encouraged to do just that: go behind the scenes into each room where the door was open. I climbed through the three story structure aware of the history I was climbing through, and delighted in each room's individual charm. Staff are warm and friendly, quietly supporting every wish. During the storm, with the snow outside, I felt snug, cozy and at peace.

Very clean. Sadly, the homelessness in that area caused a problem at night when we tried to go to our room. A man was sleeping in the doorway and we had to wake him in order to get in. He was not happy and it created a tense moment for my wife and I.

We stayed three nights in the McGee Room (#16) and loved it. Very comfortable and quite spacious. Would love to come in colder weather to use the wood burning fireplace but alas it was not cold enough during our stay. Very handy location to walk to nearby attractions. Very easy access to the major highways as well. Our breakfasts were excellent…especially the Eggs Benedict (they didn’t make me eat the spinach ha ha) and the crepes. Wonderful staff and owners! Very accommodating, helpful and friendly! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.

Auberge McGee's Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone you meet in the Inn are great and the staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and quiet. the room, along with the satisfying breakfast made for a comfortable/ cozy stay. This Inn was one our first B&B experience and it really set the tone for what to expect as my partner and I actively look for B&B's when we travel now!

McGee's in is in an old Victorian, I believe, house that is a feast for the eyes everywhere you look. It is filled with antiques and interesting Oddities and you could spend hours just looking at the walls as you go up and down the stairs. I don't know if we were supposed to, but the unbooked rooms are left with the doors open so we were able to peek inside the other rooms that were not occupied. Each room is entirely unique and worth a trip to the building just to see them. It is a 3 floor building and there is no elevator however we found the rooms worth it. We booked the Victoria Suite which comes with a working fireplace and a jetted hot tub big enough for two. It has a lovely little ante-room and a king size bed. There is no restaurant, per se, but there is a bar fridge in the room. The breakfast is also included. It is a very limited menu, but the food is tasty. It is a short distance from the Rideau Centre and the market and set in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. A very nice stay.mo

It’s old Victorian house, very charming, full of little details and antiques . All the rooms have a warm feeling. Breakfast included was healthy and above average. We enjoyed our stay, parking is limited, there has beautiful garden, great for summer time.

Unfortunately, my review of McGee's Inn is going to lack positive attributes. I have stayed there twice. The first time it was quite nice and a reasonable price. I booked again for the following week and with the same room. I was shocked to later find out when I received my bill that the same room was $40 more per day compared to my first stay the previous week. I inquired about the price increase and they told me that it was a special rate the first time and that I should have noticed the price increase with the confirmation e-mail. I didn't receive a confirmation e-mail....as well, there wasn't any shampoo in the room, they gave me bath salts which would be great if there had been a bathtub in the room. I consistently had to ask for things that I needed. I would suggest trying another accommodation.

Excellent stay!! My husband and I had a wonderful staycation. We were welcomed on arrival with all COVID precautions. Staff are friendly and attentive. An easy walk to the Byward Market and Parliament Hill. Breakfast was the best of any B and B experience. We truly felt like we had a mini vacation and only 30mins from home
