Excellent service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, great designer-furnished room, wonderful restaurant in the building with healthy food. I asked in the restaurant whether they make matcha. They didn't until then, but made the effort to buy the ingredients and started making my favourite drink and put it on their menu. Altogether, my stay was a wonderful experience.

Relocated here temporarily due to fire. Over the past few months paid parking space has been unavailable on a semi-regular basis (including having valet parking occupy my spot). Concierge team is very nice but not helpful in the slightest. Zero flexibility or knowledge that at this point I don’t even expect any help. When asked about concerns I have been met with non-specific assurances that it would be resolved. Amenities are nice - multi use rooms and gym are a good addition. Rooms are nice considering the small apartment size. House cleaning option is nice but they need to designate people who are okay with dogs for pet friendly floors since the cleaner is often too scared to enter the unit when my dog is home. While there are others in the building, it really does feel like a university residence than an upscale apartment building. Overall experience has been slightly negative in spite of the well manicured building and friendly staff. I had much higher hopes considering the cost of rent.

Forced valet service was ridiculous, like asking permission to drive your car. Little bit odd to me, oh and you have to pay for it daily. OR you can risk parking on the street, yeah no. Beds were really comfy, room was nice, though I feel like we got the write off. Washing machine broke and locked our clothes, we had to fiddle with it for an hour to get our stuff out. Door separating the bedroom and living room was broken and almost fell off onto us, trash cans were also broken, air conditioner kept turning off so it would get really warm, no outlets anywhere convenient. Just kinda disappointed, was expecting to stay somewhere luxurious and nice, not have to worry about random stuff. Amenities were mostly closed except for our last day, the sky view deck was open serving free beers, iced teas, and some small foods. It was difficult to find though, the only elevator that goes up that high is down a hall and barely visible. Tight squeeze to get in too. All in all, for last minute it was okay, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

UPDATED REVIEW: LIV reached out after reading my review to acknowledge how poorly my ongoing issue was handled with a previous manager. Dominique Quinn was exceptional in the way he picked up – and effortlessly handled – someone else's exacerbated problem without pause, and I wish we had the pleasure of dealing with him from the get-go because he really rescued a very frustrating situation. I am now looking forward to returning to LIV next time I am in Ottawa. *** Avoid. The way this place is run is an absolute joke. Stay somewhere else, and save yourself the frustration. We had an issue with being charged a lot of money for something we were told we wouldn't have to pay for and Danika, Community Relations Manager, stepped in to "help" but she just ignores your emails, takes no action, and somehow drags things out for weeks to make it worse. Worst and most frustrating customer service I've ever experienced, anywhere. UPDATE: five months after we stayed at LIV, we are still struggling to get Danika to refund us for the unauthorised charge even though we've followed up five times over five months since we were told a refund was on its way. Absolutely atrocious. I wouldn't wish this disgraceful service on my worst enemy.

Great modern apartment with friendly staff. The gym was terrific; just what I needed. The concierge and parking valet guys were stupendous. The location was decent in a quiet neighbourhood. My only problem was the paper thin walls between units. I could hear everything said by the couple next door in intimate detail...

We stayed here for 4 nights as we wanted to be close to family whom we were visiting. There really is nothing else in the area. The apartment worked very well for us and we especially enjoyed the amenities on the rooftop as well as being able to invite visitors with a dog. Our one minor complaint is that the bed is a double which felt quite small as we are used to a king-size bed. We will definitely return.

Booked a two bedroom with a king bed, but both beds were doubles. The baseboard heaters are impossible to turn off and the whole suite was 27° when we arrived, had to turn the AC on in the living room but the bedrooms were roasting. Had 3 people staying but only 1 key, which you need even to use the elevator. Also the coffee place doesn't open until 9am(!!!) Glad we only stayed one night, would not recommend.

I have been a resident at LIV for almost 1.5 years. It is simply outstanding all around. I recently held my retirement party on their rooftop - from venue, to catered food (from the Blended Café) to music - the entire experience was stellar. I also had some guests stay for the weekend in the LIV Extended Stay rooms and they were all very, very happy. LIV gets 5-stars from me and I would highly recommend the place to all of my friends and family.

Haven't even got to stay there yet and it's already a 1 star experience for me. My team has been calling for three days straight only to get sent to voicemail, or told (twice) that the staff "isn't near a computer right now" so they can't confirm if our unit is booked. Would not recommend.

My husband and I have stayed at LIV a couple of time when we needed to stay downtown and we love the location, the comfort and cleanliness of the suits, not to mention the friendly staff and amazing Good Eats Cafe on the mainfloow.

Stayed here for a month and really liked it. The staff is great and the apartments very nice. The gym and the whole sky level really add a lot of value and you should be up there as often as you can. Make sure to try the Good Eats restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Needed a spot to stay in Ottawa for just under 2 months for government work. Not only do they offer a very good government rate for those on business, the units are also of a very good quality. Unlike most hotels where you get a bed and a bathroom with maybe a desk, at Extended Stay you get a kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher with the necessary items to cook your own food. The amenities are also excellent. They have everything from a cardio gym you can use to a small self-check out convenience store on the first floor with a restaurant. Staff service is also very good. Could order packages at the hotel and the front desk held onto it for me to pick up instead of having to go to the post office. Staff were always able to help me with any request. Basically, for anyone planning on staying for a prolonged amount of time in Ottawa, this is the place. Would recommend this place any time.

The room was clean, bright and felt like home. Super fast personal wifi for the unit made working and surfing the net quick and effortless. I love that there is a keurig machine and a full kitchen with the basics. I only stayed one night after moving out of my unit, but it was nice to be in a suite that had a couch, living room, kitchen and separate bedroom for the same price as an airport hotel!

Everything was great from the moment we stepped in! Beautiful and spacious rooms, amazing amenities and very friendly and efficient customer service!!

My family and I were in Ottawa for a few days and stayed at LIV Apartments. We were amazed at how beautiful and spacious the apartments were. The bed was so comfortable. The building was very clean and very modern. The staff were helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ottawa. Will love to stay here again.

The group has so far delivered meticulous and cordial service. I like to thank Mrs. Tracy and Danika in particular for all of their help and support since the day I moved here. They have dealt with my problems and Found quick solutions, leaving me with nothing but positive things to say. Without a doubt, I would recommend them to someone looking for a pleasant environment with good community.
