Whoever gave this place a 1-4 stars clearly has their own personal problems. The food here is fast, fresh, and incredible. The men that work here work hard and you can feel it in every bite. I highly recommend the potatoes!!!! Really impressed and really really really happy with this place. Made my day.

Delicious Gyros served here! Reasonably priced food. Fast and friendly service. Came here twice in my visit to the city. Noticed lots of people lined up here for lunch but the line went by pretty quick. I would come back here again and possibly try another menu item, but it’s easy enough to get hooked on the gyros.

I can't stress enough how awesome these guys are. The food is 10/10, the price is great, service 20/10. They know my order, I ordered the wrong drink and they knew it so they sent me the right one. Extremely thoughtful, had an issue one time and they were quick to make it up. No complaints at all.

My girlfriend said " I feel like part of the Greek family when I walk in there. Everybody is so nice!" Cozmos Souvlaki is one of my absolute favourite restaurants in Ottawa. I order take out from there often. The food is always high quality, while still feeling like a home cooked meal. You HAVE TO try one of their delicious gyros. Cozmos is extremely affordable and in today's market (early 2024) that is difficult to come by. I cannot recommend Cozmos enough. A fantastic place to order food.

Great food. The lamb kbob is brilliant. Village salad is especially awesome with hot peppers too. Tony, you and your staff are always cheery and polite. A favourite place to grab a bite to eat.

Not sure what the hype is about. There are better places to eat Greek in Ottawa. I found the food bland, and lacking quality ingredients. First and last time visiting

Before Covid, I loved this place. I have moved out of province and am visiting Ottawa. I decided to go back for a delicious gyro and was sadly disappointed. This was NOT shaved meat and had no taste to it at all. The gyros and potatoes were cold. One of my orders included lamb platter which was also tasteless and a very small portion. Too bad I won’t be returning.

My go-to when I’m craving greek. They make the best potatoes ever! And their tzatziki is a must. Cozmos never disappoints. Food is always amazing. They give such generous portions with affordable prices! Staff are very welcoming and friendly

Hidden location on greenbank. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. If you want good Greek food this place is a must.

Food is great but maybe you should be more empathetic to your employees, especially the cashier who clearly is doing the best they can. Yes you are busy and you’re doing the best you can but when a customer overhears and sees how you speak to your employees… leaves a bad taste. Be a kind leader.

With the updated interior from last year, the quality of affordable food here is still the same as it always has been! Recommend getting the gyro and beef platter, I’ve gotten the 3 meats and the chicken is usually a bit dry. Other than that, portion sizes are amazing. Fries are always crispy, garlic mayo is the absolute best (I always ask for extra). Service is super fast and friendly.

Cozmos Souvlaki is one of my favourite no frills Greek spot in the Ottawa area. I usually get the 3-meat pita with Greek fries and drink comes out to around $12.42 taxes in. A superb deal in the Ottawa region and they give you big portions and not skimp out. The pita itself was fully loaded, full of flavour which hit the spot. The fries well-seasoned and perfectly fried. Is the best Greek food I have had? not really but the value makes up for it. You definitely won't be disappointed.

You can't go wrong with the lamb k-bobs and a village salad. I don't know what they do to the lamb but it's extraordinary. Juicy, lightly herbed/spiced and flavourful. Don't forget to get and extra tzatziki, you'll thank me later. The new updates inside look wonderful but I usually just take out anyways. Tony and his team are always friendly !

We have been eating here for over a decade and just love it. This is an amazing family restaurant. The lamb skewers and calamari are huge favorites in our house and always are met with cheers from our kiddos. They are also really great with allergies which is a necessity for our family and we appreciate deeply. If you need a quick lunch or a break from cooking family dinner - eat here. You will be happy you did.

Having lived in Montreal and visited Greece, I wanted to find the best Greek food in Ottawa when I move here in 1998. While another franchised “mobile” offering in Ottawa was recommended to me, I was really happy to find Tony and Cosmos 14 years ago which I believe leaves other options in this part of town in the dust. His Gyro meat (pronounced YERO) is fresh and not made in a processing plant. I’m a big guy and even I find a three-meat pita combo to be enough and at around the same price as an extra value meal from the arches (with better nutritional value and quality to boot). If you’re passing by, don’t overlook this gem! There is room to sit as well if you don’t want to eat in the car or wait until you get home.

Anytime I am in the west end I will come to Cozmos! Absolutely amazing food and the friendliest and kindest staff! I feel like I am Greece when eating here. The food is affordable and the portions huge. Couldn't recommend enough.

So, I go here about twice a month and every time I do, some little kid is always at the cash greeting me. He's very prompt and always in a good sense of humor. The food was prepared within 3 minutes and was hot and fresh. I had the grilled Chicken Souvlaki pita with potatoes and a pop. I forgot to take a picture of it. The portions are huge and very filling and always fresh. I have yet to have a bad experience.

We have ordered from there around 10 times now. Extremely quick take out. We usually get the family 3 mean meal. The gyro meat is flavourful but the chicken in consistently dry. We keep ordering the same meal though because it’s good value for money.

Calamari was so fresh! Friendly staff & welcoming restaurant. Greek salad, platter & wrap were yummy and filling.

Cosmo souvlaki is out of this world amazing. They just make the most delicious fries ever. Fresh as heck salads and the meat… oh the meat... with the tzatziki sauce it’s a heavenly combo. The portions aren’t regular sized, they aren’t shy with the portions. Highly recommend this Greek spot.

Few restaurants maintain the standard of business found at Cosmos. Incredible food, stellar service, and genuine appreciation of your patronage. It is an experience worth waiting for, but the speed of staff keeps customers entranced with their assembly line and the fresh aromas of spices with lamb, beef, and chicken. Do not miss the Baklava for dessert!!

Cozmos is the single best Greek place in all of Ottawa. I have been eating there for over a decade and the quality has never wavered and the flavour is top notch! A family favourite.

First and last order here. Beef souvlaki and lamb souvlaki were just grilled unseasoned meat. The rice was bland, literally tasted boiled with a bit of oil or something mixed in? The potatoes were the most disappointing of all… seemed like deep fried grocery store frozen French fries that were taking up half the space in the container. Maybe I’m picky being from Toronto where Greek restaurants actually use fresh potatoes, cut them by hand and season themes they are baked or pan-fried but definitely wasn’t expecting what tasted like McCain fries in my meal! Also expected grilled meats to be marinated and well-seasoned, not just skewered and grilled without seasoning. Threw out 3/4 of the meal. Greek salad was more of a chopped salad, and sadly, the most edible item received. Huge waste of money for us.

My regular go to Greek restaurant was closed on Mondays, so I took the opportunity to try Cozmos. My order consisted of a family platter for 4, a total of 14 lamb sticks, 4 beef sticks, hummus, spanakopita and calamari appetizers. There was a lot of good in this order. There was plenty of food for 7 people with leftovers. The potatoes were the best I have had in any local Greek takeout. The calamari remained crispy from pickup to dinner table (~15 min). The beef was well seasoned, tender and juicy. The lamb sticks, the main star, I am not sure what happened here. They were completely unseasoned, not even with salt. Dry and the absolute opposite from the beef. I wish I had ordered just the beef. Very disappointing, as I am sure this was an oversight considering the number of positive reviews. The cucumbers, tomatoes in the village salad were cut too small for my liking (less than a 1 cm x 1 cm). This results in a lot of wetness and the loss of crispiness in the vegetables. The lamb mistake was a costly oversight on my dime, and the salad was not to my preference so I will not be ordering from here again.

Nothing but good things to say about my experience. Firstly, the friendliness of the owner is outstanding. I felt like I was back in Greece in a small village Taverna. The food was outstanding and the portions were huge. The sit down area is bare bones but that didn’t bother me. The atmosphere, food, and absolutely reasonable price more than made up for the spartan tables. Will be back the next time I am in Ottawa!

Staff is great but the food is average. The sticks of meat (chicken, lamb) were dry, the rice was dry, and the tadziki was only partially able to alleviate this. We've done take-out 3 times and the experience has been largely the same.

This place is a really good value for quick food in general. Souvlaki never disappoints, their take on Greek potatoes is absolutely delicious. Service here is ALWAYS fast and friendly. I've ordered here over 20 times in the past 2.5 years. Prices are great for what you get.

One of the best takeout spots in Ottawa. Unbeatable value. Its fresh, good quality, delicious, and the proportions you get are massive for what you pay. Big fan of the gyro platter and lamb sandwiches.

We come here quite often and highly recommend it. This place hits 3 key points for us (which I've noticed is a recurring theme from most reviews!). The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and most importantly the service and staff are SUPER friendly. Tony is awesome. We've catered through them as well in the past, and introduced many friends and family who have also done the same. Love finding and supporting local gems!

All was great with the wrap ! Then I dove into the side salad and it was all oil for the dressing blah 😕 Had to walk to a store to get dressing blah Not why you go for take out !

For years now, we have been going to Cozmos Souvlaki and we have NEVER been disappointed! The food is always so flavourful, the vegetables always fresh and the potatoes hot and crispy. We love Tony's big smile and the smiles of his staff. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner! :) :)

Amazing food, the portion quantities are very large for the price charged. What I really like is that the authentic greek food is hard to find in Ottawa and this place just hits the spot correctly. It feels like you are in Greece eating at a local eatery. That's how authentic the food is.
