This was $25.71. What the hell!!!!!I understand that restaurants raise their prices and give you smaller portions now a days, but this is ridiculous. This was like 1 cup of lettuce. This should only qualify as a side salad not the full size. This restaurant should closedown.

Good spot for late night food ans to catch the games, TV's and projectors are everywhere so you never miss the action. The wings are the best here you must try it.

5 STAR FABULOUS FAJITAS!!! Looking for fajitas in Ottawa that taste great and don't show up the size of a side plate!...LOOK NO FURTHER than LOCAL HEROES! We ordered via uber eats and let me tell ya, we were very happy! Food was excellent quality, hot, and so plentiful. Fresh chips and salsa were also included which was a pleasant surprise! I can't tell you how impressed I was with not only the excellent food, but low cost of the entire delivery order! No Wonder It Remains An Ottawa Staple Restaurant!;^)

Love this place. As the last one standing they are by far the superior! Best wings in town. And I love the beef ribs. I haven't been in quite a while so I'm due for a visit. I usually frequent during NFL season. I love the fact that they have so many TVs and projectors. If you want that old school sports bar feeling this is the spot to go in Ottawa. Service is usually top notch. They do get quite busy so just be patient.

The Buffalo Chicken Nachos is one of my favorite items on their menu. It was so cheesy, and flavourful. It has bits if crispy chicken in buffalo sauce, and then your usual nacho toppings such as diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and shredded cheese. This was fun to share with friends!

All electricity was out and this was one of the few places opened for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and the welcoming atmosphere. There were only 2 servers, but were more than efficient. I loved how all the staff chipped in to make this a happy situation. Enjoyed the food. Will go back for evening sports views as well. Thank u all for the great experience during the horrible time of no electricity.

Ordered the Buffalo nachos with sweet Chili sauce. Delicious and good portion. If you’re a nachos lover this is for you... Highly recommend

This place has been here for such a long time and has lots of regulars. It's a casual place with lots of tables and booths. It's a sports restaurant and bar, so there are lots of TV's everywhere playing mostly sports channels. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The service is good. The restaurant is clean, but the building and facilities are aging. Washrooms are pretty small and cramped. Lots of parking out front. They do have a patio outside, but I don't know if they ever use it.

Came here for breakfast and just got a simple classic breakfast. Portion of meat with the breakfast is generous compared to many other breakfast places for the same price. Eggs cooked exactly as ordered. Toast was generously buttered. Hash browns were seasoned very well and quite tasty. Service was great, always on top of coffee refills.

Went our looking for lunch a day after the storm last week and found out they were open decided to try it out for the first time was quite happy walked in the place was busy but the servers didn't miss a moment and were pleasant, food was great can't wait to go back

My girlfriend and I ordered from here via Uber Eats and we simply LOVED the food!! You get lots of food at a reasonable price, and I gotta say the food is PHENOMENAL. I have dreamed of the combonation of pesto, shrimp and feta cheese, but only here is it united in such a godlike fashion in the form of a shrimp pesto wrap 😍 my taste buds have been blessed, and blessed they shall remain while Local Heroes remains open.

This restaurant is pretty good. The service is usually excellent and the atmosphere is not pretentious as you get a nice hole in the wall pub feel. The food is pretty standard but the prices are worth it. I tried the wings once but they were overly done. Nevertheless, they have daily deals which is also perfect! I’d highly recommend.

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat. My partner said the wings were famous and he hadn't visited since the 90s. The wings were very tasty, we got Hot and 40 Creek BBQ. My only wish is they served the wings with blue cheese or ranch instead of sour cream. My partner also says he wishes he got hotter wings. The fries were very tasty too. Would definitely come back to try the nachos. It was as loud as a sports bar can get but eventually died down. We were able to find a cozy spot away from the noise.

Local heroes is a great place to hang out with friends. Their patio is nice and comfortable. Food options are great and affordable. The servers are friendly. Don't forget the amazing fire pits to cozy you up.

Love Local Heroes. Great place with amazing hours, the service is always great as the staff are friendly every time. They try every time to accommodate guests even throughout Covid with their patio extensions. My friends and I can always rely on local heroes for a great time out. The food and drink specials are some of the best I’ve seen. And they have lots of TV’s for watching sports. Great job!

Been going here for 10+ years. Always great service, great food and amazing drinks. You can't beat their prices and their daily deals are definitely worth checking out. 5 stars for the staff(owner and son included), food and drinks. Highly recommend checking this place out. Never disappointed.

My friends and I always choose Local Heroes when we're looking to order dinner, and we're always so amazed by the quality. Especially as students, the low price is great and the portions are generous so there's lots left over. The shakes are a favourite of mine, and the bruschetta is delicious. If you're hungry, Local Heroes never disappoints and the selection is so wide that there's always something perfect to order. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Some not so friendly staff, everything on the menu is either deep fried or breaded. Having an allergy to gluten I wasn't able to order anything on the menu and the waitress was rather sharp after we explained we would only be ordering drinks. Nice venu, lots of screens to what whichever sport you like! But their staff could be a bit more pleasant. 🤷‍♀️

Decent prices, good menu, good selection of drinks. And 10/10 staff. Chill place to hangout. They don’t bother you even if you sit for 2-3 hours unlike other places. The only reason I keep visiting local hero’s is because staff are so nice and accommodating. Things I recommend- Nachos Pizza Chicken wings Cauliflower wings (911 sauce) so good omg Drinks menu is also nice decently priced.

Great food and if you're going to the hockey game, $5 bus ride to and from helps to avoid traffic and parking hassles at the game. I had the Greek nachos with chicken on pitas instead of nachos. Personal size was not big enough so next time I'll go with full size.

We attended a pre-arranged birthday party. Food took over an hour to arrive once ordered. Some of the tables cancelled their order after the rest of the group finished their meals. The food was not very palatable to those who actually received their orders. The server was very polite and made efforts to appease the party, but the inability to serve food to everyone in a reasonable amount of time really ruined the experience for our group. The manager adjusted some people's bills, which was little comfort to those who waited, but didn't receive food before we were ready as a group to leave.

Food was good; location is definitely understaffed when they are hosting the fights or sporting event. Have to admit that although the food was good, service so slow that might not want to go back. Can't have people sitting at a table with empty drinks for more than 20 minutes before coming by to ask.

A retro-styled sports bar and restaurant with good food and friendly staff. It was my first time dining at a sports bar/restaurant, and it was a very pleasant time. Ordered the Steak Dinner with blackened shrimp. Steak was a little smaller than I expected, but tasted great nonetheless. The included sides (caesar salad & baked potato) were also very good. The blackened shrimp were incredibly flavorful, just how I like it. The overall meal was delicious and filling, and the staff were very accommodating too. Hoping to try their breakfast menu next time. Will definitely come back!

My partner and I have been at every trendy place in the city. Want fast Service? Want to actually be served ? Sit at the bar at classic local heros and experience, experience. Jaya was our tender and drinks were never empty.

Spectacular wings, great pizza, excellent breakfasts. I get the roaster wings dry, with sauce and sour cream on the side for 'manual dipping'. Crispy on the outside, tender chicken on the inside. Cheap beers, and daily food and drink specials. Perfect. And always great service.

The outdoor patio is very nice, friendly staff, great specials, but unfortunately the fries and sweet potato fries were sub par.

The ribs here are probably the best I've had in town. The chicken wings are great and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is good too and the service!

Very good value was surprised what it cost us to eat there. The service was fantastic. This is a popular eatery amongst the sports fans and I really can see why after our dinner. I only give it a three for atmospheric cuz it's kind of dingy and worn down but maybe that adds to the appeal of it.

Strange that the only establishment in the city isn't aware what Covid is. Service is great though.

This place has the perfect Sports Bar vibe; lots of TV's, a great selection of beer and drinks, great wings and great food. The two waitresses that I've come to know, Jay and Jayme are very good! I'm not sure how this place competes with the franchise bars but it's doing a good job of it!

Get something new every time we go! Was a place my dad brought me growing up and now it’s a place I bring my partner! Staff is always great to and it’s fun to watch a game or just go to eat!

I would say this place is an awesome family sports pub combination thing. The starters were awesome and all the burgers at the table were awesome. The sandwich was less then awesome, but totally solid. Went on a Sunday night so football night so it was loud. Overall pretty awesome

Very cozy, old school sports bar. Lots of screens if that's your thing. All the food was home made and delicious. Great value. For what it does, it does it very well. They also have a fun kids menu with lots of options. Service was friendly and attentive. Check out the picture with the daily deals.

A fine sports-bar, with what you would expect from a sports bar. Wings, burgers, pub fare and a normal beer selection. This would be a good place to watch a hockey Game, or meet up with friends after a softball game. I gave a 4/5 stars because it's just a "normal" bar, as nothing really elevates it beyond a normal spot. (In my opinion.). With that said, go check it out and enjoy some wings and beer!

Quick, clean, nice servers who refill your drinks and will chat a bit. Food is always good, not fancy but very tasty. Good quality for the price. Lots of daily deals, ask your server for them.

Best wings in town! It's a classic spot to spend time, have a meal and chat to folks. The only downside side is the wings get soggy if you get them to go. Eat them on site!

It's unfortunate that I have to say this on the restaurant's page, but there is not much of an option when it comes to using a third-party delivery service. The restaurant asked for more time, which is frustrating, but understandable, and that would have been okay, except that the Uber Eats driver also decided to do another delivery before coming here. I watched the driver through the app, they sat for over 30 minutes after making it to their first delivery place. They never responded to my message, but they did start moving as soon as I sent it... Unsurprisingly, the food was cold, and an added bonus was that the delivery bags smelled of cigarette smoke! Overall, it was a frustrating sequence of events, considering that I only used the Uber Eats app because for some reason the menu options are different for the food items in other apps (i.e., SkipTheDishes and Door Dash), and I couldn't order what I wanted through them. In addition, this is the second time within the past week that I've used a delivery service and waited over 90 minutes to get my food. I want to order from the restaurant again because some of their items are really good. However, I'm not sure I want to risk this type of situation happening again...

I've been going mid afternoon... I love the old man atmosphere. The server for the most part are good. I've only had 1 server that didn't smile. The rest were very pleasant. Wings were great.

First time being their and the service was very good and the staff are very polite. The food is amazing, would definitely go again soon to order something different as I got the buffalo chicken burger and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and I absolutely reccomend going to local heroes for the food, the service and their amazing heated patios outside.

A great take-out experience from Local Heroes in the Bleaker Mall. We had our annual North American conference this week. Of course it was "virtual" this year. So for the Awards Ceremony, everyone connected by Zoom and ordered in dinner. We ordered a selection of appetizers and wraps for pickup. And we grabbed a growler of beer while we were there. The staff was great at the pickup and even gave us some free swag they had in stock. Even though we couldn't all meet in person, Local Heroes made it a great evening, enjoyed by my team.

With the pandemic, I did not feel safe in this establishment. I feel as though not enough precautions/separation from other guests is in effect. Felt unsafe & stressed. Will not be coming back.

I was craving nachos, and because of all the great reviews I thought this place was going provide good food. I tried cheese nachos and honey garlic wings. The wings were over cooked, the sauce was good, but I found a small hair in the dish. Fine, it happens. Then the nachos were soggy, chips were not crisp as they should be, the tomato sauce had no flavor. The sour cream was watery!!! Zero flavor. Service was ok, both waitresses were nice and came to check from time to time. No one asked for my phone number when I entered, which means they are not following COVID protocols. Do not recommend.

Local Heroes has always been known to be a friendly place to go. If your wanting to just unwind over a good meal, or go watch a game with some buddies, Local Heroes is the place!

Story time: I ordered from Local Heros on Uber eats. The restaurant asked the uber driver to wait for the rest of my order but the uber driver was awful and wanted to me more orders so the uber driver told them he wasn't waiting and left. When the order arrived at my house the uber driver dropped off the food said he had another order and to call the restaurant about what was missing and took off. I called Local Heros and they were FANTASTIC not only were they waiting for my call and extremely apologetic but they also offered to personally to drive the rest of my order out to me. They arrived at my house in no time and the food was in perfect condition. The driver was also very nice. My entire order was done very well and tested great. I will definitely be ordering from Local Heros again. 10/10 on all accounts.
