Best Thai restaurant in Byward market without question, and its family owned! 🇹🇭🍛 I've ordered numerous times, and the quality is consistently spot on. 👌 The combo deals offer a great value and let you try a few different items in smaller portions - great for a single person!

For years I've driven past Champa Thai and finally tonight I decided to give it a try. Wow have I ever been missing out all these years. By far the best Thai food I've had in Ottawa! The tom kha soup was the best I've ever had! Everything was super fresh, hot, and flavourful. We split combo 1 and combo 3. Service was speedy (ready in 15 min for pickup) and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Small little restaurant but packed with great yummy food. The restaurant is not flashy or anything, just simply good Thai food! I could use a bit more rice with the Penang curry chicken.

I'm really into this family run Thai place. The flavours are well balanced; no overly cloying sweetness and muted spiciness like other Americanized (canadianized???) Thank places. I think their dinner sets are good value as they also come with soup. I'm eager to go try their lunch combos as well. Service was nice and checked in me multiple times.

I ordered the combo 5 for a take out. The guy who attended to me was very courteous, the food was delicious, tasty and couldn’t get over the savoury texture of the veggies and protein. The best Thai food I’ve tasted was gotten here. I give it to you guys 💐.

One of the best Thai in Ottawa. Run by 2 lovely women. Very authentic dishes Currently take out only. But we were able to have a table to eat in. Vegan options available. Good portions and price.

I recently visited this Thai restaurant and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. The portion size was generous and I left feeling completely satisfied. I also appreciated the attention to detail, such as the beautiful carrot butterfly that came with the dish. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine in Ottawa.

SOOOO AMAZING!!!! Could not recommend enough!!! We had the chicken pad thai and shrimp pad see-leu and it was to die for! The staff were so lovely and sweet. We had such a great experience. The food, the speed, the service, the small, homey atmosphere with the big window was just perfect. The pad thai came with the most beautiful carved carrot butterfly and that completely made my day!!! 🦋🥕

Of the three Thai restaurants I have now tried in Byward Market area, this one definitely takes the win. The serving sizes were good. Green curry and salad servings seemed larger than other restaurants. The taste was great! Real coconut curry flavor from the green curry. Stir fry dishes were spicy but so good I found myself eating more facing all the sweats! Mango salad was super tasty! I can only imagine how good it would have been if mangos were in season. Overall, it definitely was a fulfilling meal and I felt the warmth of the spice in my belly. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Pad Thai was 7.5/10, Pad See Yu was 8/10, and yellow curry deserved 8/10. Solid 4 stars with very nice staff (owners). I would go back and eat there.

This place has the best chicken fried rice I have ever had. Well maybe in Canada. The shrimp spring rolls are to die for and the fried chicken appetizers are so good. They remind me of Nigerian fried chicken. I asked for some chilli peppers and they gave me these dried peppers that elevated the meal to the next level.

Do not be fooled by this location, first time here and was unsure if dine in was possible. I am so happy we found this place. Such a hidden gem. I always drive by here when I am in town. Absolutely authentic Thai food and tastes delicious! I ordered The red curry pineapple, Lao papaya salad and combo 1. Everything was delicious, papaya salad was a little too salty but that didn’t bother me, the spice was perfect. Definitely coming back here when I’m in town.

Family run small restaurant. Ordered a beef green curry, chicken badil stir fry, papaya salad and some rice for take out and was advised that they were currently very busy and can take more than 20 min before I paid which I apreciated. The staff was very welcoming. Not sure if that day was exceptional, as I waited, the staff seem to be overwhelmed as every takeout apps that were coming in had to wait for their order. I ended up waiting a total of 50 min after paying. I was not offered an explanation but suspect that my order was forgotten from the bit and pieces that I overheard. The food was excellent, spice was on point and the taste was authentic based from eating often at my Thai friend's family.

A wonderful experience! We were heartily welcomed and could taste savoury, spicy and superb Thai cuisine. Do not expect to bask in luxury but the welcome and the food more than make up for it. The combos are also a great deal!

Amazing!! Some of the best Thai food I have had in a while. The pad Thai was phenomenal. The chicken basil was spicy and delicious. The spring rolls and fresh rolls also amazing. And the beef yellow curry so good!! Portions are very fair. A little pricey but great food!

We picked up a dinner here and it was a quick pick up, friendly service and delicious food! The combos are a few dollars more than a single entree, but what a deal! The portions are generous and you get spring rolls, soup and two smaller entrees with rice! We were full and happy. Thank you Champa!

A true little hidden gem for Thai food. We’ve tried all combo sets and nothing has disappointed us. The veggie spring rolls are my favorite - crispy, tasty and not greasy.

SO GOOD. Amazing authentic thai food with good prices. The staff was very friendly and the portions are big. We tried two combos and one noodle dish and they exceeded our expectations. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes flavourful authentic food. Will definitely come back, this place is in my top 3 of places to eat in Ottawa.

One of my favourite Thai restaurants in Ottawa - and absolutely love that it’s a family run business. I would highly recommend the combos that they have - very reasonably priced, and you get to try multiple dishes including appetizers like soup and spring rolls, and mains including various stir fries and curries. Everything came packaged impeccably and the portions were super generous. Absolutely recommend!

Went there for the first time tonight, inspired by the great reviews, and was not disappointed! We had the spring rolls, lad na, and chicken panang curry - all delicious. It was ready for takeout/pickup quickly. Will be back to try the pad thai!

Amazing Thai food and our go to stop for takeout for YEARS. It’s all made fresh and the service is excellent. A true hidden gem in Ottawa that’s worth the stop for some of the best takeout in town. The pad Thai and the Champa Thai chicken are both to die for.

This was my most authentic Thai experience outside Thailand. Tom kha soup was so amazing. All the ingredients, nothing less, nothing more. The place is tiny, yet cozy. I did order a take out though. Fish cakes had a perfect balance between chewy and firm. Extremely happy with the place. Worth driving from Montreal! Thank you

I have eaten here twice. One dine in and the other take out. The taste of the food will always be amazing, but the portions are quite small compared to the price. I would still recommend it though. When they mean spicy they mean spicy !
