Just wonderful! Full of flavor, authentic and super tasty. Service was so friendly and helpful when I was wondering what to try. So far, out of all the Thai restaurants I've been to in Ottawa, this is the best.

My husband and I ordered from here for the very first time today and we were so impressed! We have been looking for a place in Ottawa that doesn't serve "Americanized" ketchup-based pad thai for sooo long and we've finally found it! Everything we ordered was amazing. Great portions, great prices, no skimping on the ingredients, and of course, GREAT taste. We will definitely be ordering from here again!

This restaurant is extremely tiny, so I don't recommend it for families. If you want to dine-in I would recommend to call ahead first as they only have two dine-in tables inside. The third space was being used by items belonging to their staff but they do have one picnic table outside! However, it's next to a car mechanic shop so it's your call if you want to it there! The food, however, is just one of the BEST THAI restaurants in Ottawa! Their Yellow Curry of chicken and potatoes in a mild yellow curry made with coconut milk is my favorite. My daughter loves it too because it's not spicy. Their papaya salad is always fresh, great balance of ingredients and the perfect addition to any dinner order! The only salad my daughter ate was Ceasar Salad until their Papaya salad!!! I also really love their chicken coconut soup. It's my absolute favorite. Prices are reasonable. My only suggestion for them is to make a better spring roll.

The smells as you enter this restaurant are wonderful. Very friendly staff and super busy which is a great hint. Top notch ingredients used. Only fault was we found the dishes too sweet. Thai food doesn’t need so much sugar as it’s flavours speak volumes. Will order again but request less sweetness.

The woman who runs this place is very sweet. She brought my food outside while I was sick with Covid and threw in a soup for free , telling me that it would help with my throat. The food itself it honestly delicious! I got the “ Khao pad Kra Paow” with beef and it was a great portion size and tasted great! The soup was also very tasty. Definitely check this place out! Well worth it!!

We love this place! We’ve been coming here regularly for the last year or so. We usually get the green curry (Gaeng Khiao Wan), Penang curry (Gaeng Panang), and/or Pad Thai. They are consistently amazing! You can only get take-out here but in the summer they have a lovely patio with picnic tables. If my boyfriend could eat here every day, he would!

The best Thai place in Ottawa. Been ordering frequently over the past 6 months, each time didn't disappoint. Staff are always friendly even during rush hours. Food is delicious and full of flavour. Excellent Pad Thai. Crispy Beef and Thai Chicken also really standout. They use freshly cut pineapple in the dishes, no canned stuff. Delivery is less than 60 minutes.

I discovered this place on recommendation of my coworker and I have been here 3 times in the last 10 days… twice this week alone. I order the chicken pad Thai and it is the most delicious pad Thai I’ve ever had. It has such big portions for such great prices. It packs full of flavor and the food is SO hot. I picked some up in the evening, around 7:45 and got home, got distracted and started eating it at 8:40 and it’s still piping hot like I just picked it up! I would recommend this place every single time.

First time trying it and it was amazing food. We tried the dinner combos and it was a nice option that we appreciated as we could not pick one option for dinner. Both curries that we tried were rich and flavourful without being too heavy. the stir fries also had quite lovely flavours. We only did takeout but the service was really nice considering how busy they were. The prices were reasonable as well and the order was processed quite fast. A high recommended Thai choice!

We usually order food on special occasions in my family to avoid disappointment and they have never let us down. Best Thai food in Ottawa. You can really trust them. Always super busy because they have huge fan like me. Even though I got confused with the order,Sean was really friendly towards me and sort the issue out in his busy schedule. Food & Customer service top notch

Unfortunate experience with this place. Saw the amazing reviews and decided to order on a Tuesday. We called ahead and were told it would be 35-40 minutes. When we got there, we were told that it was going to be an extra 10-15 minutes. No problem. But they also said 2 of our items (2 out of 4 ordered) were sold out so we got green curry instead of red curry. They gave us 2 extra spring rolls to compensate after I complained. I had asked for red curry but got green curry which is not my favourite but the cook convinced me that it was delicious and more popular, so I agreed to try it. I had asked for no bell peppers (I have a slight intolerance) and for it to be substituted with baby corn instead. The green curry was full of green and yellow bell peppers and no corn, also had broccoli which wasnt mentioned in the description. Also, spring rolls were very bland. If I had to say something good about this place, the green curry sauce was flavourful. Needless to say we are very disappointed, not with the food itself but with the wrong order! I wish we got better service because I would love to try the red curry. The quality of food is good, but disappointing to get a food that I couldn’t eat due to food restrictions which I had mentioned twice while over the phone. Willing to give this place another shot because the reviews are so good, but not looking forward to it!

I have been coming here for at least 10 years. The owner /chef is an amazing chef, and she is a very kind person. It is a family run business and is my goto Thai restaurant. I don't bother going to any other Thai place in Ottawa! Best soups, curries, noodles and stir fries :) And the best chicken wings in Ottawa!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful and delicious meals I have ordered from you!

It can be hard to find great Thai food, but look no further! Wandee Thai has a great selection of absolutely delicious dishes. Really, the only mistake you might make coming to Ottawa is not eating here.

Wonderful experience with this Thai restaurant. We ordered a take out for 8 people - my colleagues and clients. We tried multiple menu options. All dishes were flavourful, tasted fresh and generously sized. Delicious Pad Thai, excellent green curry, tasty yellow chicken curry, very very large and fresh rice paper shrimp rolls with good peanut sauce, crispy and very tasty spring rolls (tasty vegetarian ones as well!)! Overall, I absolutely recommend this place. Just one tip: if you like it extra hot - ask them to add additional chilli sauce in the comment section or on in person. The food was delicious, but “extra hot” dishes were rather mild:) Thank you for a great experience!

I wanted to love this place, given a personal recommendation plus the glowing reviews, but unfortunately my experience left a lot to be desired I ordered delivery through ubereats, ordering the A5 fried tofu, A1 veg spring rolls, G4 red curry and N1 noodle stir fry. The fried tofu was dry and presumably overcooked, but the dipping sauce was fantastic. The spring rolls great, best thing in the order but unfortunately we’re almost all sent flying to the floor due to poor packaging (more on that below). The red curry was bright and flavourful, but also fell victim to the packaging issue. Finally the pad Thai was tasty, with soft pillowy tofu, but the noodles were over cooked. The biggest issue is the container of red curry was not sealed correctly causing it to leak all over the paper bag used for delivery, which led to it ripping and sending half my order to the floor. Despite half my order ending up on the floor, Uber will not refund me. I understand wandee doesn’t have control over what Uber does, but it’s left me with a negative experience overall. Most of the food was good, and the issues that did arise with it were small enough that I wouldn’t find if I hadn’t had such a bad delivery experience but as it stands, I’m having a hard time convincing myself to come back. If I have the opportunity to try wandee again I’m not sure if I’ll do it, but I’ll be happy to update my review if I have a better experience with them in the future.

Poor customer service ruined the experience at this otherwise tasty restaurant. Edit: response to owner: If there is a language barrier then you need to address that with staff and help them improve. Restaurant told us it will be ready in 10 mins! They were clear we ordered. The request was simple - to put meat and egg on the side. This was understood during the phone call and in person. Nothing more than that. You did not do your very best. If you are the owner and promote this poor customer experience, then your business will not do well regardless of some good cooks which is the only good part of visiting your place. Details: During a 4 Hour drive to Ottawa we called and ordered one fried rice after discussing with the phone attendant whether it would be enough for 2 to 3 people. Upon arrival after 30 minutes we were told the order was not made in case it was not enough for 2 to 3 people! We were famished and disappointed. After reviewing the size of one takeout box we decided to order two and waited 20 minutes more. $33.79 When I asked for three paper plates and three cutleries the lady refused and only provided two plates and upon Insistence 3 cutleries. We decided to eat at the picnic table outside the restaurant as dining inside was not allowed. When the lady saw us managing with the two plates she walked outside and offered one more plate. Guess she changed her mind. After the meal when I asked if I can throw the takeout boxes into the garbage she offered to take the bag and did it herself which was nice. However the overall experience was impacted by the initial poor customer service and we will not be returning to the restaurant despite the good food. Customer service, customer Experience and professionalism matters. Thank you Ps. Perhaps the staff can use some customer experience training.

Ordered delivery by phone for our first experience with Wandee. Food was delivered on time and hot. All was nicely packaged, very fresh, flavourful and plentiful for the reasonable price. One combination plate included 2 good sized spring rolls and a soup. An extra soup and an appy made it enough feed two hungry people. We've put this at the top of our list for Thai.

I ordered the Som Tum and Gaeng Ka Ri Gai. I've never had papaya salad "Som Tum" before and it was great. A fresh salad with great balance of ingredients. We ordered the regular spicy levels and for people who are moderately good with spice it was perfect. The Potato Chicken Yello Curry "Gaeng Ka Ri Gai" was amazing. The yello curry was pure sweet smooth and silky. On the potatoes and chicken the flavor was perfect. They didn't skimp on the chicken either you get lots. I would recommend ordering this dish with a side of rice the creamy curry flavor with potatoes and rice was soo good. The service was great food filled up the generous sized takeaway containers. Pick up was a breeze. Food was ready exactly when i set my pickup time.

Best thai in the city! They give great portions, very fairly priced! It honestly tastes amazing too! I’m really impressed with this place. I’ll definitely be back!!

Ordered delivery and waited almost two hours for the food to arrive. Reasonable price. Curries were okay (not the worst, but definitely not the best I’ve had), but the pad thai and spring rolls (both the crunchy ones and rice paper ones) were quite bland.

The meal was reasonably inexpensive, but the food was mediocre at best. 'Mildly spicy' dish had loads of chilis visible throughout and was definitely more 'moderate' than 'mild' (not enjoyed by the children). The other dishes were okay, but only just okay. Nothing I would feel the need to order again.

I’ve gone to Wandee four times now, and each time I’ve ordered the same AMAZING THINGS! - Egg rolls as an appetizer, and the Pad Kee Mau noodle dish. This is by far some of THE BEST Thai food I’ve ever eaten! As much as I would love to order something new to try, I’m just loving how flavourful, filling, and fresh everything with my regular two things taste!

So happy I got to try this place. Phenomenal yellow curry and stir fry beef. I could take or leave the spring roll but it was still made fresh. Would love to try more dishes when I'm back in town next.

A former colleague of mine recommended here, after a discussion on my hunt for Khao soi in the city. This curry based soup is an absolute delight. After learning Wandee had it on their menu, my husband immediately ordered it on his next work shift (yay to being an essential medical worker in a pandemic!). Him and his partner have now gone their three times for this soup, which is quite the feat. So today, it was finally my time to try it! The food in general is great. Lots of flavour and a reasonable price. The Khao soi is close to what I'm chasing from a memory of Chiang Mai Thailand. My recommendation would be to request the crispy noodles be put in a separate container. They lost their crunch being in the container with the rest of the meal. That crunch is what really makes this dish. Would definitely order again with that request.

The price is fair for the amount of food you will be receiving. They’re very generous on the amount of mangos in the mango salad, the ratio is nice. Sadly, the curry was watery, chicken was bland, and the potatoes were a little undercooked. The beef in the pad Thai was very tough, and not seasoned. Everything else tasted good and well seasoned. Soup and Pad Thai was definately our favourite when it came to taste.

My sisters and I had Wandee Thai takeout and loved it. Last time we were in Ottawa we sampled as many thai restaurants as possible. On return, I feel confident saying that Wandee Thai has the best thai take out. I love the pad thai and the pad see ew. Full flavours and it was fresh when we picked it up. Makes for a perfect breakfast the next morning too.

One of my favourite places in Ottawa. I love the green curry and the Pad Ke Mao. Every time we go, my partner tries something new and he has never been disappointed. Definately a default for dinner takeout in our family. Portion sizes are good too. The green curry with an order of rice covers 2 hearty meals for me.

Hands down one of the best Thai places I've had the pleasure eating at. Friendly staff, great food, and quick service. Its a winning combination that I recommend to all! Keep up the great work Wandee team!
