Got a small poutine for 7.50! The gravy to cheese to fries ratio was perfect! I was able to have gravy and cheese curds until the last bite!!! The cheese curds were the nice squishy melty kind too! I'm convinced the best poutines are from food trucks lol. They take card, so no worries if you don't have cash!

This is what food truck fries are supposed to be! Fried and double fried for absolute freshness. The bag was filled to overflow. Friendly service and worth the wait, even if it's busy. Can't wait to go back. *** Update: I've been back several times, everything here is excellent. You really can't miss. I can't say enough about the friendly service.

I've been searching for a long time now for the best food trucks out there and have finally found the best poutine. The fries, gravy, and mounds of cheese curds were perfect. This is not your-run-of-the mill, average, wannabe disco fries. This is the real deal poutine. I am so glad I found this place and will be sure to hit it up every time I'm in Ottawa. Warning for the small-stomached: the large is enough for two people! Any specialty poutine is made with a large size so bring friends!

I love Lou's with my life. I'm not Canadian and still, coming to Ottawa is a must to stop by Lou's. It's amazing how a food truck parked by downtown keeps attracting people over and over and delivers one of the best experiences you can have with Poutine all over Ottawa, hands down; fries are crunchy, Gravy isn't way over salty and the Cheese Curds melt under the heat of it. Trust me, if you see the construction workers from the Parliament remodel come here to grab their lunch that's cause it's an amazing spot Although I just want to give a small heads up for those wanting to try their food. As I already said, it's a food truck parked, so it's availability depends heavily on the weather. Went last week on Monday, a rainy winter day, by midday time and they weren't on their spot, a nearby worker told me he haven't seen them in the whole day and probably wouldn't be there (Spoiler, they indeed didn't). The next day was a cold and a lil snowy Tuesday and it was the same, no Lou's. By Wednesday this was solved I was able to eat there but do keep this anecdote that happened to me as an advice when you go looking for them

Lou Fast Food was hosting an event in Riverside South and I stopped to pick up some lunch. Great staff, very friendly and polite. Their food was served quick and hot, so delicious!! I would definitely visit them downtown or wherever they are hosting. Worth the trip!

We hired Lou Fast Food for our wedding. As the bride, it was absolutely great to have a poutine & a pogo on my wedding night! Our guests were really happy with the food selection: they had their choice of food, in any size! We were told by some guests that the wait was very long for their food, and at the end of the night the staff apologized for that. They said that their service was a bit slow by their standards that night, and were sincerely sorry. (I personally didn’t notice, as I was busy enjoying my wedding!) The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, and I’m so glad we got to have the wedding food we’d dreamt of! It was a pleasure to work with Lou Fast Food from the planning phase into the wedding night. They’re very kind, courteous, and professional! Great prices, tasty food. Made our night special for sure!

This was really tasty but not the best I’ve tasted. However i really liked the cheese that was layered and not just on top. 8$ was kinda much for the small container but i would definitely buy it again for a quick bite. Customer service was top notch.

Started working downtown recently and iv been coming to this place frequently. The poutine is excellent, hot dogs are cooked to perfection, and its always fast and reasonably priced. I start at 11am sometimes and these guys are open at 10:30am which is great. There is a chip truck down the street that advertises that its "Ottawa's best poutine", but their's was nasty and I regret trying it out. This chip truck has a much better poutine, amazing gravey, and lots of cheese. Deffiently skip the blue truck and head straight to the red truck if your by parliment. Iv included photos.

This is a fantastic place to eat if you want delicious food and fast service. If I’m ever back in Ottawa I’ll be eating here again. One of the best cheese burgers and fries I’ve ever had.

As I work near there regular spot on the corner of Metcalfe and Queen, I have had lunch here on a number of occasions. While I wished they offered a veggie hotdog option as I prefer the taste, their sausage + fries + drink combo is pretty good. A reliable lunch option when I want to get something fast to take back to the office.

Nothing but greatness at this place. I always come back to get a poutine. Worth the parking ticket! Hahaha. Also the owners are so accommodating and helpful - it makes the experience downtown Ottawa much more relaxing, knowing you'll get a good meal from a local food truck! They work hard and fast too - so don't mind the wait (if there is ever one).

I had an amazing experience at Lou chip truck fast food place! The food was incredibly delicious, and the poutine were the highlight of my meal and by far the best in the city. The staff working there were not only efficient but also incredibly friendly. They went out of their way to make sure I had a great dining experience. We had hired Lou Fast Food to come to our office for a 50 person company lunch. They were early to arrive and very friendly. The menu selection was excellent, the portions were generous and it was delicious! The food came out very quick and they were very organized. We will definitely do another food truck lunch with them in the future.
