Anyone who likes the park now doesn't know what it was like prior to this "upgrade". It was so much better with the old play structure and open hill for sledding in the winter. Now the best parts for sledding are covered by trees, which are great for the environment but would've better been planted in other unused parts of this large park. This park is now fun for young kids, but not so great for bigger, active ones. Having grown up here and also bringing other generations of kids to this park, that is our experience. It could also have have helped lead younger families to choose other nearby neighborhoods to live, hence the closing of Leslie Park public school, which used to be over capacity enough to have portables. While it's currently rented to the French board, it only has 130 students, who are primarily bused in and won't use the park much, according to a family I spoke with whose children now attend the school. Having this upgrade to the park is why we now see the bigger kids playing in the street, instead of at the park where we spent a significant amount of time having so much fun while growing up. It's sad to see what's become of a formerly great place. Other nearby parks have been updated with more modern play structures without such significant changes.

Great facilities including a skating rink, sledding hill, and a short trail next to the creek where you might see beavers. There is also a playground and splash pad for the summer.

I love this park so much that I got married in it last year! It's super clean, nice big Green space in a fantastic neighborhood. Great playground equipment/sand boxes with a big, clean splash pad in the summer and a (well maintained) outdoor rink in the winter.

Gorgeous park surrounded by woods with Graham Creek running through it. Big open children's play area and slash pad. Community garden plots. Toboggan hill and skating rink in winter. Lots of open space to enjoy the great outdoors all year round

Wonderful place to live. Great neighbors and a beautiful park area with a large creek running through the centre. The Greenbelt and Bruce Pit are within walking distance. Close to shopping and to access onto the Queensway and highway 416. Two LRT stations will be built nearby soon as part of the Phase 2 expansion so transit downtown will be quite easy. The neighborhood has an active neighborhood community who organize events like community garage sales, exchange days (where you can put out items you don't need for anyone to take), winter skating and community vegetable gardens. They also host a Facebook page. One of the best neighborhoods in Ottawa in my opinion.

I loved it. The park was fun to play at even though because of a physical disability I had to sit down to recuperate there were plenty of benches to sit down on.

Wonderful little play area for the kids, complete with a splash pad and a breathtaking stroll through a wooded area next to a stream!

Perfect mix of natural world and park for the kidlet to play at. Community gardens are stunning, and fun to watch grow.

👍👍 Best off-leash dog park in the area. Massive open space with some seating plus a huge amount of trails to explore. There is even a rainbow bridge to post your lost pup's tag which always brings tears to our eyes.
