Delicious, just perfect. Got the rare beef pho and I have 0 complaints. Preparation was quick. I asked for some extra limes on the side, and cilantro in the broth which they don’t usually put and they did it all. Will be coming back for sure

The Pho I ordered was the Saigon Boy bowl. I assumed it was the one that had the assorted meats and toppings. The portions here are pretty big. Upon tasting of the broth, I found that it was slightly sweeter than what I preferred and not salty enough. The aroma was there though. All in all, this place is not bad for a Pho restaurant.

Saw they were one of the top Pho noodle houses in the golden triangle. I just moved into the area and wanted to find the best. Went over and made a special order something they don't do regularly. Within fifteen minutes I had my order to go. It was absolutly delicious. Everything was perfect. They are very polite and friendly.

Chose this place because of the good reviews. We ordered two orders each of shrimp summer rolls (fresh rolls) and beef vermicelli topped with spring rolls. The only thing that was good was the spring rolls. The summer rolls were a little dry and tasteless. The beef was significant portions but not very flavourful and not the best texture. That dish overall was rather mediocre. I've been eating Vietnamese food for 30 years, so very familiar with it. Would not try this restaurant again. To add insult to injury, I have diarrhea today and the only other thing I ate yesterday was some cereal in the morning, and I haven't eaten out over the past week, so I'm quite certain it was this food that is causing it.

The food is always so gooood and fresh, and the service is so sweet. The owners and staff are so welcoming, and they are all as warm and wonderful as their food. A staple spot for amazing pho.

I've been here many, many times before but today's experience was terrible. The food has always been good in the past although the service has always been more of a miss than a hit. Today everything was a miss unfortunately. We were a party of four and despite their being only seven other people in the restaurant, many of which already had their food, it took over half an hour to receive ours. One thing this restaurant always does is serves each person at the table separately. One dish comes out, then three to four minutes later the next one comes, and so on and so forth. Therefore, it takes well over ten minutes for a table of four to all receive their dishes. Restaurant rule 101 is to try to serve everyone at a given table at the same time. I can understand there being issues if the restaurant is short staffed, but they weren't. At one point, there were four staff out front and a couple in the kitchen with only fifteen diners. Now to the food, and truly the worst part of the experience. Two of the plates were prepared nicely as was the case on previous visits so a couple of my friends had decent food. But two plates were completely unacceptable. One of those had chicken that was burnt, about 40% of the chicken serving was like that. The other had completely RAW shrimp. When we pointed it out, they said it was fine. Now, just because I'm eating out, it doesn't mean I don't know how to cook lol. It's pretty simple to tell when shrimp is raw. It's absolutely unacceptable to serve a dish that way, not to mention the rawness of the shrimp can contaminate the rest of the items of the dish. The reaction of staff and management was nonchalant and they tried to justify how it was prepared and said we should have asked for it well done. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever been told in a restaurant! Needless to say, despite many previous good experiences with the food, returning won't happen anytime soon. It's time for them to learn how to be consistent with their food preparation and to provide patrons with efficient and respectful service.

One of the best Pho restaurants I've ever tried, not just in Ottawa, but across Ontario (including Toronto). Service is always on point, very respectful and kind. Food is phenomenal!

Not too busy. Foods had good taste, but expensive with small portion. I ordered vermicelli but it was like instant noodle with defrosted sea food. Average restaurant. Good service.

Very tasty broth and good portions! We ordered the Durian shake once and they said they didn’t have it in stock but was willing to make a grocery run to make it fresh for us! Amazing customer service :)

We’ve tried most pho places in Ottawa, and this is our absolute favourite. The broth is incredible and the meat is very good quality. I love the vermicelli as well. Service is always very kind, and it’s reasonably priced.

One of my favourite spots to grab pho; very cozy! The appetizers are delicious, and the soup always tastes excellent. The price is appropriate, and the staff is friendly:) It is the third place I have tried pho in the neighbourhood, and it is my favourite.

Very nice pho soup, we came here a few months back and really enjoyed the experience!

The pho soup here is the best. I have tried phos at 5 places in Ottawa. No place beats Saigon Boy. I find Bun Thit Nuong at other restaurants better than the one here but it's also delicious. Order egg rolls! They are awesome. Anyway, the service is fair. It's not bad but there is room to improve.

Ordered big portion soup with raw beef and beef ball. Price is okay, raw beef and beef ball tasted great, noodle soup base is okay, service is okay, looks like the big portion only has more soup but not more contents, could not finish all the soup anyway and feel like the noodle soup is more diluted with more water in it. Had to spice it up myself, maybe I could have asked the kitchen to make it spicy. I think next time if eat there again, I should order medium size and it is 1 dollar cheaper.

My new favourite restaurant in Ottawa. The flavours are amazing, I especially love that they put pickled veg in their vermicelli bowls, and as a vegetarian they have an amazing alternative to fish sauce. Love it here!

The best place for pho in Ottawa. I have tried five places in Ottawa. This is the only one I go back. I go every month. Their pho is consistently tasty. I really like that their soup is very flavourful and all types of meat taste so good. Fresh spring rolls with grilled pork are great. Rice vermicelli with grilled pork and spring roll was great. It has a good portion of fresh shredded lettuce, cucumber, and carrot, so it tastes refreshing.

Been there many times. the food is fresh and well prepared. The pho soups are delicious. So are the rice wraps. Always fresh made as you order. I reccomed this place if your looking for great food and prices are reasonable for what you get. Service is polite and quick.

Delicious. This was my first time having pho. I had the vegetarian pho and spring rolls (which they also provided a veg sauce for). I got the large bowl and it was humongous, with lots of veggies and tofu.

I’ve eaten at Saigon Boy so many times and it has always been great! The classic rare beef pho is always a winner with awesome clear broth, delicious beef, and fresh bean sprouts and basil. The salad rolls are also awesome.

As a visitor from Toronto was very familiar with Vietnamese restaurants I would have to say this is one of the best ones I’ve eaten at. I had the grilled chicken with a spring rolls and vermicelli and it was so good. I also like their Vietnamese coffee. You can’t go wrong with that. I highly recommend, and will go back here again for sure. Funny enough, restaurant is called Saigon boy noodle House and I was served by a young gentleman who is very attentive and better than most adults that have served me in the past good job.

This is a typical Vietnamese restaurant that can be visited casually. Dishes are fresh and tasty with decent portion while nothing much to note to differentiate from what other Vietnamese restaurants serve.

This is my favorite pho restaurant in Ottawa. The pho soup is very flavorful and clean tasting, the noodles are perfect and not soggy. Their spring rolls and summer rolls are always perfect. The attention to detail is also outstanding down to the sturdy ceramic soup spoons. Definitely my go to and I'm always craving their vermecelli.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere, however, that staff didn’t seem to like us so much and the ordering process was different than most restaurants. They also couldn’t split our bill? Overall really nice and cool place, just a few things that could be improved :)

We had a good experience at Saigon Boy. The pho we ordered was flavourful and delicious. The bbq chicken dish was also great and the portion generous. We also had the shrimp spring rolls which were ok but I wouldn’t order again. The service is great. The have booster chairs for kids.

Went with a chicken broth/cooked meat soup on account of walking in the cold home and not wanting to rely on broth still being able to cook rare beef - it did not disappoint! Really balanced mix of carefully made but generous parts, broth was pleasantly hot and all came together deliciously :)

My favourite Pho place by far. I would eat here every single day if I could. Moved out of Ottawa and miss this place like crazy. Can not find a place that beats this one!

Delicious chicken pho! Fresh chicken, does not taste dry and frozen like most places. Broth good, onions/cilantro are fresh. Vegetarian summer rolls are also delicious. Everything seems freshly prepared and care is taken.

The spring rolls were very delicious. Pork chip, grilled beef, grilled pork and grilles chicken were okay. They gave very decent portion on the meats.

Ordered the Shrimp Summer Rolls and they were very fresh and tasty. Came with a peanut hoisin dipping sauce that was delicious as well. Great family run business.

I think I've tried every Vietnamese restaurant in the City, and this is by far my favourite place to go for a delicious, healthy Vietnamese meal. Virtually every Vietnamese restaurant seems to offer the same options, but not every restaurant compares in terms of quality and taste. By far, my favourite option is the seafood noodle soup. I always ask for egg noodles and extra vegetables, which the Owner is willing to oblige. Plus, he's such a nice fellow. He is always so grateful for the business.

🫤 I was so excited to try this place because I missed vietnamese food too much and saw this place got 4,9⭐️ but after the experience I don't know how they got that rate anymore because the food was beyond disappointed.
