Hotel is in a great location, the room is a good size with an EXTREMELY comfortable bed. Shower is also a good size with good water pressure, elevators are fast so you're not waiting very long, and the entire hotel was very clean. Parking was expensive at $25 / day, but you were guaranteed a good parking spot and didn't feel unsafe about where your vehicle was parked. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you need the front desk it's almost impossible to reach. Not enough towels , we were 4 people in the room. The room itself was very nice, very large lobby and very good central location. I would stay here again.

TICKS OFF ALL THE BOXES One of those rare hotels that covers all the bases. Absolutely friendly staff, very accessible parking, spotless rooms, modern sliding door for the shower, decent gym, good location. And no noise issues. A sound sleep. Highly recommended.đź‘Ś

After an absolutely disgraceful ordeal at the Montfort hospital, terrible treatment by the majority of the medical staff, we needed accommodations in the city. This hotel literally brought down the level of trauma we experienced, that we will never forget. I sincerely am so grateful for the treatment by every single staff member. We were able to regroup as a family, bond and enjoy our time without a single worry. They took better care, put more energy, and compassion into our care than our medical system did in time of emergency. There are no words to describe how much they helped us unwind during our stay. We will be forever grateful 🙏 Bless you all.

Overall very nice and clean hotel, the lobby bar Tulip is really convenient and chill, loved it. The check in process is smooth and plenty underground parking at a reasonable charge. The room we got has amazing view! The bed and pillows are not the most comfortable ones, but ok for short stay. The only situation we encountered was a dog barking in the early morning in one of the rooms, had a tough time for the call to get through front desk. But once it got through, front desk sent someone up, very efficient and helpful!

The front desk was very kind and quick to check us in and out! Room is clean Breakfast buffet with Coffee, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bacon and so much more. Very close to the parliament buildings, all within walking distance. Pool and exercise room. I will stay there again.

Nice hotel with helpful staff. Check-in and check out was fast easy and efficient . Conveniently located near the Parialment buildings and many other government building and museums with Walking distance. Or, cross over into Gatineau or Hull and enjoy the neighboring province of Quebec. Many restaurants in the area that cater to every need. Or, stay in and enjoy Tulip Bar and dining room or room service. Nice breakfast typical of a Hilton brand. I will certainly stay again.

The front desk was so helpful when we first arrived. The room was extremely clean and walking distance to downtown attractions! We loved the restaurant. They remembered our names and prices were amazing. We highly recommend. Had a great time!

Great rooms and very nice people working there. Especially navi! She was so kind. Only complaint is this is a seriously busy hotel meaning lineups for breakfast (which was yummy) and often no reply from front desk. This became tricky when, for example, I struggled to get rest due to an unruly family. I know kids make noise but as a solo traveller enduring an hour of kids randomly screaming at each other at random intervals of the day was.. A lot.

DO NOT STAY HERE- QUARANTINE HOTEL! Booked two nights here and there was absolutely no mention at the time of booking or checking in. We found out after putting a few things together and finally asking the staff. It's their choice to become a quarentine hotel, (and I understand that not everyone that is in quarentine has COVID), but at least have the courtesy to notify your other guests so that they can make the decision on whether they want to be exposed to the risk. I'm a frequent Hilton guest and I have to say that I am pretty disappointed in the service. The pillows are also very uncomfortable, way too soft. đź‘Ž

I booked and had confirmation last Aug 9, 2023, for 1 one bedroom king suite and 3 room king suite. It was a terrible experience at the front desk they are very disorganized. Do not trust booking online because it's not the same when you check in. Confirmed: Booked for 4 Rooms - 1 one bedroom suite - 3 king suite Received 4 king suite only but paid and charged for 1 bedroom suite Received an expired parking ticket for 4 cars My husband tried to go out from parking at 7 pm but stock in gantry gate. We are not happy with this service, and remember, there are 11 of us adults who will rate your service. We feel discriminated against and look down upon. It's a messy booking first we paid separately and then we where promised to phone me when the other 3 rooms is ready while we tour around. We paid and parked our cars. And then it's already 430pm our room is not yet ready??? On there website its says you can still book!!! Contrary to what the receptionist said that there is no room... and then front desk says "oh you can cancel your booking if you want" is he crazy? We paid already we parked our cars we are tired and the children are tired. Where on earth do we sleep if we cancel? Very rude. I think the management should change this kind of personnel it is not good for their famous brand.

Hotel was nice. 3 blocks from the parliament. Breakfast buffet is definitely not worth it. $21pp and it's a small step up from a Continental breakfast. I had to ask the front desk 3 times to fix my shower valve. You could only have it either extremely hot or cold. No in-between because the handle was so heavy that if you had it horizontal it would fall because of the weight. I thought they fixed the problem the final time until I went to turn the shower on and the handle totally fell off hitting the floor.

From the moment I checked in, Severyn and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Room was immaculate and although there was an issue with a male bartender which was brought up, this ultimately does not detract from the visit. Highly recommend this hotel. Thanks again.

I will definitely book this place again as I often have business meetings in Ottawa; the hotel was almost 100% what I look for in accommodations. I did find dining room and in-room prices to be too high, hence 4.5 stars -- which you can't do so had to settle for 4 stars. Highly recommend just the same.

Worst hotel experience. They are on a hockey tournament list. We went there with our hockey team. They wouldn't accommodate us at all. We tried suggesting many solutions and it was always no. Getting a conference room, spot in empty hallway, etc. Always complaining. Making up complaints. You see that they are not happy receiving hockey teams. If that is the case, don't put yourself on the tournament list. In the rooms, no toothpaste, earplug or mouth rinse, only the minimum soap. Last year, almost same tournament, we went across the street to Marriott, we should have gone to the same hotel. Marriott was perfect!

I rounded up my 2.5 stars because the hotel is relatively new and the staff is nice. I decided to stay here instead of usual Accor hotels because I wanted to try a Hilton in Ottawa (visiting for work). This hotel doesn’t have a dedicated check-in desk for Diamond members so the check-in process, although completed online, was quite chaotic. because the hotel is full. The breakfast is disappointing, it was included in my stay but there was just not much to choose from. No appropriate spoons for oatmeal - I went to the restaurant’s reception and ask a spoon bigger than just a teaspoon, and someone had to go and find me one. Anyway, the milk had a burnt taste so I didn’t eat the rest of oatmeal. Pastries look very sad and I decided to not go for breakfast for the rest of my stay in the hotel. It also seems there’s a reperation work going somewhere at the hotel (maybe an elevator, not sure), I heard the noise after 10pm and now it’s 6.30am and it all started again. There was no any information for the guests about the house. I called the reception and I was told that they’ll talk to the maintenance people last night, the noise kept on going for another good hour and after 10pm. I wish I knew about all of these and stayed elsewhere, well, I know now and it is very unlikely that I will stay here again. The sunset view from my room (wasn’t upgraded) was nice though.

Cons: 1) We have a Yukon which would not fit in the garage so we had to park in a private lot in the next block at a rate of $20 every 12 hours. 2) The room contained a closet, but no drawers at all and very few few surfaces to set anything on. Pros: 1) All the plugs and USB ports worked. A refreshing change from Best Western. 2) Very close proximity to Wellington St which has many government offices with interesting architecture.

Stayed here 2 nights. Location is ideal. Steps to Parliament, Supreme Court etc. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. The hotel serves breakfast, which is overpriced, in my opinion, so it was better to go out. The bar has a good ambience and a good range of drinks. Rooms are well appointed, and the bed is super comfortable. The shower is great with good temperature and flow of water. Very clean hotel and the conference room was nice. Service was excellent with smooth check-in. Check out was done on the app. All in all a very nice hotel in downtown Ottawa.

2nd time here, we love it. Large and very clean rooms. Biggest TV I've witnessed in a hotel, 40 channels, with a few in French. Very comfy bed and pillows. Every staff member we encountered was amazing, professional and friendly. Great view of Ottawa River from room 915. Tip: use the elevators that are closest to the bar, way, not as busy.

The room we booked is 2 queens bed room. It has 2 queens bed, 4 pillows on each bed, comforter on each bed.3 seater sofa, coffee table, tv, side table, dressing table. Room was so clean. also had a closet. Bathroom is also very clean, had hair dryer, soaps, towels and had body lotion, shampoo, hair conditioner as well. Overall, we enjoyed the stay there. We didn't book the breakfast there but they had coffee for everyone staying there.

Experience was awesome. Breakfast staff couldn't ask for better. Brandon served us most days, he's very respectful and if we needed anything he was there. I think other staff can learn from him. Jeremy who worked afternoon's and evening on the front desk made our stay very enjoyable. The little dog kept looking for him every-time she went downstairs. Jeremy was very respectful and knowledgeable. The guy works too hard. I have 31 years management experience. Jeremy is very hard working and would make a great team Leader. I would want him on my team. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel location conveniently located in close proximity to shops, restaurants and Parliament Building. The rooms are clean and contemporary in design. We loved the bathroom with the bi-directional glass doors and the huge 25m lap swimming pool. It was a pleasure to be able to do my morning swims. The underground parking is conveniently accessible through the hotel with in and out privileges. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. We look forward to coming back again on our next visit to Ottawa.

The manager this morning was amazing. We arrived during the Canada Day road closure and was not being allowed to the hotel by the police. The hotel manager ran down the block and saved the day. Thank you so much for solving a stressful situation. Additionally the room is great, and the location is the best. Great value! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

I staued here for 3 nights Rooms were very clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable. I had a view of the river. Pool was great. Restaurant and food was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel was within walking distance of tourist attractions. I had a very enjoyable stay and will stay here again when I next visit Ottawa.

Overpriced for what you get. Good location near downtown. Rooms are ok, what really let the hotel down was the lack of preparation for a busy weekend for breakfast and the pool. The pool water was incredibly cold, I was freezing after a minute inside the pool and had to get out, they really should warm the water since there's no hot tub or sauna in the hotel. That was a shame as the pool area is really nice. Breakfast service was beyond chaotic on the weekend, I felt sorry for the only 2 members of staff trying to accommodate 100 people, trying to do their best with no support or leadership, there has to be a better way to manage the crowds, perhaps offer 2 lines for dine in and take out, etc. The food offering was reasonable, but nothing out of the ordinary, slightly better than a Hampton Inn. I also dislike the way Hilton is going with no daily Housekeeping, you have to pre book, makes the guest feel like a nuisance. It felt like they're working with minimal staff but still charge more than the competition.

Me and my wife reserved a room for the night at the Hilton on an extremely busy Canada Day weekend. Our initial experience was very disheartening and hopeless.. We got to the front desk and was told that they did not have space for us (even though we reserved and paid for our room prior) as there was a flight delay and some guests from last night stayed another night. We were shocked and angry about the situation and how it was handled. The fact that we were told this information 9pm on the day we arrived and they gave the room to someone that did not reserve it was beyond us. With that being said, I understand people make mistakes and wrong choices. Me and my wife were left to feel like we were getting the short end of the stick.. Thankfully, the human resource manager Kristina went above and beyond to help us through this tough time. She was able to get a room at the nearby Delta all expenses paid for by Hilton, as well as offering us dinner and allowing us to come back for breakfast. She was compassionate and apologetic about our situation and fixed the issue within the hour. We were truly impressed by the hospitality of Kristina, given the fact that we were ready to get into an argument with management haha. Again, thank you to the Hilton Garden Inn in Ottawa for "de-stressing" the situation for us. It is not how you start but how you finish!

I booked for business purposes. When I got to my hotel room, the washroom door would not shut, it is a sliding door, and it would fully open when trying to shut it, no privacy at all. I was with my husband which was fine but if I was to stay with a friend or other, the room would not be stayable. On our first night I called consierge and asked for extra towels and if they had robes for the pool. They said they never offer robes, but could send extra towels as I requested. We waited over an hour but no one showed up to the room. Every time I tried calling to consierge it was a busy tone. They only picked up once which was the time I spoke to them about the towels. No one showed up at all, they didn't even leave the towels at the door. When we spoke to the front desk the next day, because calling is impossible to get ahold of anyone, they apologized and gave us towels and ROBES. We were told robes were not even offered, and now we were given robes. Ones that were ripped and not taken care of. I was dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the quality of the room.

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown. We stayed here for blues fest. Very convenient location for us (13 minute walk to the venue). The rooms were very nice and clean. One of our rooms had a nice view of the water. Breakfast was a little rocky. I’d recommend going early or you won’t get in. Not enough seating. We just wanted take out and still had to wait in line. I’d recommend 2 separate lines if they can for take out and dine in. All in all though, we would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5 Sacha B. 9 months ago on Google
My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights during Bluesfest and it was perfect! The location was close, walking distance to Bluesfest and all things downtown. Most importantly however the staff were fantastic! The front desk staff were kind and helpful. We flew in early in the morning and they gave us an early check-in. The staff and food servers at the buffet were so kind and friendly (food was great also). Rooms were nice, pool was packed as it was busy so we didn’t use that much. Gym was nice (but hot). Later check out time was great for those of us with later flights. Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely stay again!

I stayed in hilton garden inn this weekend and my experience with them was amazing. The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Room was clean and tidy. The parking was $25 for 24 hours which i think is a great deal. The hotel is near to all the main attractions so you can just walk around and enjoy the sights. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. So just book with them to get an extraordinary experience. Lastly, i just want to thanks Hilton team for your hospitality.

Pretty good service, excellent location, great room. The mattress was a bit hard for my back. The breakfast was included and was very good as well, except for the coffee. They should use a different brand for sure. $25 for parking every 24 hours. You can walk to many attractions from here.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant in the Hilton, prices were high but there's lots of restaurants around. Rooms were very clean.

The parking garage has recently been modified. After many other visits, now that the head room is only 5 feet 9 inches, the low ceiling damaged the roof rack on our 2022 Buick Enclave Avenir. I did not want to be late for a medical appointment and three drivers behind me refused to back up. So, I had to proceed. After my appointment, I removed my roof rack in the garage to exit the building. Shame on them for this modification.

Location is excellent. But hotel rooms lack many things. The air conditioning does not get cold enough. The hot water was very Luke warm at best. Plus, no smart TV'S in rooms is terrible when all the big chain hotels now have smart TV'S so people can stream Netflix or other streaming platforms.

The Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Downtown was beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and the rooms were amazing...clean, new and taken care of! The bed was comfortable, the whole experience was great from checking in to checking out. Definitely will be my hotel of choice next time we are in Ottawa!! 5+ STARS

We had an excellent stay at this hotel for our engagement vacation in Ottawa. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who works at the front desk. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. This is definitely going to be our regular hotel when we visit Ottawa for our little getaways.

I love it! Comfortable stay, stayed in their King Suite River View, great amenities - lovely staff, love the complimentary lemon/orange water in the lobby area, it’s modern, lots of different light fixtures in the room, many plug outlets, the necessities! Will come back again. Disinfectant wipes can be found around for your own use, and the room service was also delicious and great ! Merci beaucoup

Great place to stay but for now the breakfast is very limited. Don't get me wrong, the quality of food is really good but the options are super limited. Not sure if it's a post pandemic condition but for now you can only choose for potato, eggs, sausage and/or beans. The rest is nice like the Hilton standard.

  • 4/5 Chris P. 2 years ago on Google
We enjoyed our stay here although it was a bit noisy. We could easily hear the elevator nearby and people walking around above us. Nothing too bad, but could have been better. Otherwise was a really nice place to stay.

The Homewood Suites are great: lots of space and much more comfortable than regular rooms + access to a dining table and kitchen. The swimming pool provided very useful, as we travelled with kids. You need the vaccination pass to access it though and you have to get a new access card every day We were happy with the restaurant too, especially the waiter, who was very helpful

Good location within walking distance of parliament buildings. Great amenities in room (kitchenette). Excellent breakfast included with room. Got a room with a separate bedroom. The Only negative was the pull-out couch bed was possibly the most uncomfortable bed ever slept on for the kids.

I loved staying here! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond what you would expect. The rooms are well equipped especially if you are staying for a while and need all the kitchen amenities.

The office people were nice and the room was so clean. I think you could of eat off the floor. The towels were so soft and absorbent could of used them for sheets. We will definitely be going back. Enjoyed the stay and like I said the office staff is very very nice and very helpful.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. We booked a suite on the 17th floor with one king bed and one convertible sofa. The pool was very nice as well. Also they went out of their way to accommodate our baby's needs (1 year old) which was greatly appreciated. Would book there again for sure.

This was the nicest hotel we have stayed at ever (according to my kids) and we have been to quite a few. The pool was large, spacious and clean. Location was close to Parliament, Gatineau QC, some museums and right beside Lyon tram station (super convenient)... 10 minute line to CF Rideau Center mall (kids loved it). We used the pool every night - very clean and fun. The only things I wish were a bit different were the higher cost (well it's a higher end hotel and tail end of March break... but much worth it), the parking fees (downtown Ottawa... understandable) and I believe it is pet friendly (my family has bad allergies... but medication kept things somewhat under control). But overall, a really good hotel and experience... would highly recommend.

  • 3/5 Richard S. 1 year ago on Google
Room ok, but ac very noisy. Charging $2 for a 25c bottle of water is typical of what is a somewhat overpriced hotel. The checkin line was long and slow, and the manager was far too busy chatting to step in an open another desk. Breakfast is to be avoided, overpriced and yet with no bacon available!

  • 2/5 Alexander P. 1 year ago on Google
This place has really gone downhill. Two hotels (Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Homewood Suites) share the same front desk. Not only are they short-staffed, but it seems everytime I had a request they had to log out of one system and log into the other. Their booking system is struggling too: twice, housekeeping came to tell me that I had to leave because I was supposed to be checked out. Twice I had to walk down to the front desk for them and wait for them to walk to the back office to confirm that, yes, indeed, I was still supposed to be there. (No, the nights weren't booked separately!).

Aside from having to move the pull out couch to use it in bed form. Also pull out couch wasn't that comfortable and not quiet when moving on it. The room , king size bed and bathroom and view all great.

Staff at front desk was unwelcoming and the restaurant for breakfast was very disappointing and disorganized. Not very clean , not enough food. The bartender had an attitude that made it seem he either hated his job or just did not want to be there. Room with a view for extra$$ was the building under construction across the street.

Great room, nice and clean. Only downside is that my shower would only get barely lukewarm… called maintenance and they sent someone up to look at it but no change :(

The room we stayed in (Double Queen Non Smoking) was large, clean and well equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, television and office space along with many power and USB A charging outlets. There are also many storage spaces available such as drawers and cupboards. Do note that the Wifi speed is capped at 4Mbps upload and download, making it unsuitable for streaming much of anything carrying video or downloading files larger than a couple of megabytes. The bathroom was suitably furnished with shower and bath available, though I found the omission of a hand towel hook strange as there were definitely hooks available and suited for the bath towels. It was also noticeably not fully renovated to the hotel website's presentation. However, the main issue with the room we stayed in was the constant noise from both the ventilation system and a lower pitched (250-300Hz - 20-35dB) but very annoying hum that permeated the sleeping area. Even ear plugs could not completely block out this hum, which understandably caused issues with sleep quality. This may have been a "bad luck" of the draw situation, but was our unfortunate reality. Since the manager may read this, I'd like for them to explore the ninth floor (926-937) and find out for themselves what this noise could be as we could not locate it as coming from anywhere inside the room in particular. I am absolutely certain that a room without this issue would result in a much more enjoyable stay. Regarding the service, the staff was friendly and accommodating, although we do have to point out that the breakfast vouchers were not given nor explained on check-in day, which caused some double-billing. This has absolutely been resolved, but the oversight would be best avoided in the first place. The breakfast itself is quite ordinary and tailored to a particular clientele, which did not really mesh well with me but that is of course a personal taste. Depending on the time you choose to go, there may also be a queue as the seating area fills up. The location was suitable to our stay, which was neither for business nor vacation. It is in close walking distance to some key locations in downtown Ottawa such as various museums, war memorials and Parliament Hill but we did not make use of this advantage on this trip.

I was quite disappointed in my recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ottawa. My first issue was regarding the room service. One day I called in the afternoon for room service to order a meal. I called more than 15 times between 1pm and 2pm - no one picked up. I went down to the restaurant to find out what the issue was. The Manager On Duty told me that the Food and Beverage Director had locked the room service phone in the office, so no one was able to answer it. The next issue was with housekeeping. I confirmed that I would be eligible for daily housekeeping in my room (as I was staying for more than 5 days, they automatically provide housekeeping). I was assured everything was all set. However, no one came to my room. I had to call everyday about housekeeping. On the final day of my stay, I had requested a late check-out that was to happen at 4pm. Around 2pm in the afternoon, someone from housekeeping came to my room to clean it, thinking that I had checked out. Between 15-30 minutes after this happened, I received a call from a Housekeeping Manager wanting to confirm that I would be checking out. When I explained that I had a late check-out she seemed flustered at first. It seems like there was an issue with communication.

Hotel was nice, but don't stay if you want to have a conversation within your own room. Multiple noise complaints on different floors while simply having a shower or talking to 2 people within a room. I can only assume the walls are paper thin for the complaints to be coming for simply watching a hockey game on TV at volume 10. 900 bucks for 3 nights to be told to be quiet or we would have to leave over the above mentioned complaints. Won't stay here again unless I am taking a vacation by myself for 24 hours of sleep away from my wife and kids. Then it would be perfect for that need.
