Perhaps it was mismatch of expectations, but Grunt was ultimately a disappointment. We ordered the bison kebabs, porchetta sandwich, and gnocchi. While the intention and description of these dishes was ambitious, the flavours ultimately fell flat. However, the venue has the endearing vibe of a local pub and the prices are in line with the quality and quantity. Apparently the menu will change frequently so there may be improvement with time.

What a gem! Found this place through a food reviewers suggestion who loves it. Went for Roast night. Beautiful. Like a homemade meal at a top chefs house. Personable and warm. Wonderful service. Lovely food. Small so reserve. Will be back for sure.

Incredible restaurant and addition to the neighbourhood. Jason's dedication to not only the restaurant, but the community, is palpable. Then there's the food... Succinct and well-executed menu. Small cozy restaurant, so be patient or make reservations!

This place it outstanding. It's small, it's cozy, it's like being one of the people seated at the bar on Cheers. Jason and Marie are making an effort to get to know their customers, and it's... So unbelievably fantastic. Not only is the hospitality warm and welcoming, the food is to. Die. For. Seriously. If I ever end up on death row, let my last meal be Jason's Mac and Brie. The food is so good, the service is outstanding. (We tipped 30% it was that good.) The food was warm, and quick. Quick gourmet food? I know. I was shocked, too. Give them a try. You won't regret it. I consider myself #Gruntled.

Friendly service, great fresh food & wine! We loved the pork belly carbonara and the blue cheese gnocchis πŸ˜‹ we'll be back for sure, knowing that they update the menu every two weeks I think πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

The food is fantastic and the beer menu is local and extensive. The price point is great at $14-$16 per plate - tax inc! Will have to keep coming back as the menu gets a shake-up every couple weeks!
