We saw the stellar reviews on both Google & UberEats for this place and decided to give it a try for delivery. The portion sizes were fine, and honestly all that we did eat tasted good, however... Shortly after finishing the Tom Kha Chicken Soup, I started having food poisoning symptoms (most likely 'Staphylococcus aureus' given how fast I felt it) that lasted throughout the night. Other than a coffee earlier in the day, this was the only thing I had eaten -- so I am very confident that it was the soup that was contaminated. Additionally, there was a large chunk of egg shell in the Pad Thai we ordered.

This is not the same Nana Thai that i used to order from for years. Food portions are smaller, less meat, completely different taste and spices, and higher prices. This is NOT the Nana Thai you know, just an impostor using their good name. Will miss nana, but never ordering here again.

Prepare to be amazed! Charm Thai Cuisine came highly recommended and now I've been there I can see why. From the bright yellow decor (who wouldn't feel happy just walking in the door) to the cleanliness, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was outstanding, and the server recommend dishes and sides that I hadn't considered. An absolute treat for the taste buds. The the serving sizes were perfect - filling, yet not so much that food was left on the plate. Everyone was so friendly and warm. The service was excellent. I never once felt rushed or ignored, in fact I felt more like a welcome guest than simply a customer. I want to try everything on this well-priced menu, so this is definitely a restaurant I'll be returning to a lot. I wish there were more stars to give in every category. You won't be disappointed. What a find.

Update (as of September 2023): The restaurant has changed the owners and is no longer Nana Thai restaurant. Review for Nana Thai (before September 2023): Delicious and generous portions. Their Thai curries don’t come with rice (you need to order rice separately), but the portions are large and full with fresh ingredients. Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Maow noodles are tasty. Stir-fried beef with ginger, mushrooms, basil is healthy and delicious. Happy to find this Thai restaurant!

NANA is a great little restaurant serving up unpretentious and tasty Thai dishes in an unassuming and casual setting. Great for dining in and taking out, it's well situated on the border between Ottawa's Little Italy and Chinatown. I've only been once but I will definitely be back in the near future.

Pretty good! I would love to try dining in some day, but have ordered take out a few times and feel satisfied. Love the green curry but just wish it was a little more flavorful. Great family run business and also was a big fan of all the plants inside.

Went to Charm Thai today and it was a great experience! Amazing kind service and delicious food. We tried several dishes with rice and they were all great. We also went to their pop up during Italian fest and their mango pie was so good! Would love to see that come back on the menu. Will definitely be back!

Simple little Thai place with friendly happy faces greeting and taking care of you. The food is so good - I had the chicken panang with steamed rice. We can't remember what the fiancé ordered but it was also really good. Delicious, quality Thai food which is well priced.

One thing I could say, this place offers authentic Thai cuisine. No fake imitate Thai cuisine. Pretty good place to dine in. It's a little pricey but I guess that's the price you pay for authenticity. A meal for 4, comes out to almost $25 per person, which is not bad

I have ordered a couple of times through Uber Eats, and I always had an amazing experience with Nana’s Thai Cuisine! I usually go for the Panang Curry which is absolutely delicious. You can choose your level of spice which is great (I usually go for 3/5 or 4/5 and I definitely break a sweat). The only point I would like to make it you must order the rice seperately and it does not come with much compared to the dish you order. Definitely recommend this place!

We ordered for take out. The Tom Yum was ok, nothing special, I could have make it at home. The curry was ok, very blend. The pad Thai was soggy, oily and too wet with nothing in it, very disgusting! We couldn’t even eat the pas Thai, it smelled and tasted oil… Even my dog wouldn’t eat it. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I’ve eaten in better Thai restaurants.

This place has the most authentic Thai cuisine for most of the dishes. Some dish, such as crispy chicken with red curry is fusion style Thai dish but it still gives the real Thai taste. The service is AMAZING! If you like Laos style papaya salad (ส้มตำปูปลาร้า), this place is a real deal! I strongly recommend this place.

The food was generous, fragrant and so flavourful. Was always in search of a good Thai place in Ottawa & it doesn’t get better than this! We ordered the Gang keow wan (Thai chicken curry), Kao pad sap pa rot (mixed fried rice with shrimp & pineapple) & the Tom Kha Goong (soup with shrimps & coconut milk). The soup was SO good. Definitely coming back for more.

Tried the Pad Thai chicken yesterday. It was pretty good, very flavorful. It tastes almost indistinguishable from the Pad Thai that was offered by the now closed restaurant Royal Thai on Dalhousie St. If you liked that Pad Thai, then you'll like this one. I'll go again for sure, so far it's the best Pad Thai.

Incredibly delicious and authentic Thai food. Some of best Pad Thai we’ve ever had. The depth of flavour of the satay sauce was delicious.

I ordered pad Thai from here tonight and unfortunately it was one of the worst pad Thai I've ever had. Looking at all the positive reviews they have I must have just ordered on a bad night but I was very disappointed. The food had an odd smell and taste and I ended up throwing out most of it after the first few bites.

Thanks to UberEat promotion, I had a chance to try this place. The order arrived super fast and food still steaming hot. I would say the price is very amazing for Thai food. Cheap eat and great portion. Pad Thai is delicious with the strong tamarind sauce. Their fried rice is amazing, and it sure impresses a picky eater like me. I'm in love with with the yellow curry, the sauce is nice and creamy (not overly sweet). Most of the dishes don't come with rice but they sure give a lot to compensate that. I think I discover my new favourite Thai spot.

Friendly neighbourhood Thai restaurant snuggled between Chinatown and Little Italy. A different choice in a sea of Vietnamese restaurants. I arrived after the Friday night dinner rush, two days after the restaurant was featured in the Ottawa Citizen. Both the server and the owner were friendly and genuine. They will take time to get to know you and will recommend menu items to what you are hungry for. The food was good and you can choose between 1-5 levels of heat. Lunch time menu offers choices which may not be available at night. Will definitely come again.

We had the panang curry, pad thai, green curry and pad see ew- It was all really good! A few of my friends had never had Thai food before and they were all super impressed. Everything was hot, flavorful and came pretty quickly too.

We absolutely love Nana Thai. There flavours are fantastic. Strongly recommend. Only gripe is they forgot part of our order. We were quite disappointed……we really looked forward to the Pad See Ew.

I went for lunch as my first experience in this newly opened Thai Restaurant. I ordered the chicken curry with rice to take home from the dinner menu. Their lunch menu wasn't available due to missing listed items. Paid $20. Although the sauce was very flavourful and quite delicious... I was very disappointed. I basically paid just to get a load of rice. There was hardly any chicken inside the tiny portion of curry. I felt ripped off. For that exact price, I could have gone across the street and got 2 steak shikobabs, 3 kebabs, fries, pita, hummus and grilled vegetables! Or gone further up the street to another Thai restaurant, ordered the same thing but would have had 3x more chicken in the curry, less rice, two spring rolls & a can of pop! I didn't feel I got my money's worth. There's a lot of competition in the area and having dined in every restaurant on Preston Street... I know where to go and not to go for wise financial dinning experiences. Unfortunately, this place has made my "don't go" list based on you won't get very much food for your buckaroos☹️ . .

Eating out and supporting local restaurants is critical during these times. I placed a takeaway order and wasn’t disappointed. All the expected safety protocols are in place. The food - well it takes me back to my journey to Thailand. It was deliciously spicy (my choice). I’ll visit again.

Wish I took photos, but we ate it too fast. Heaping portions and the nicest folks running this local restaurant. Easily the best Thai food in Ottawa!
