Medical center Walk in clinic

😠 How they remain open is beyond me. They turn out patients like a puppy mill. After waiting over 3 hours for what I had been told that the wait time was 25 minutes I saw the doctor for less than 2 minutes. The receptionist doubles as assistant taking patient histories and blood pressures, she can be... People often mention doctor, clinic, wait, time, told, appointment, hours, patients, minutes, waiting,

Phone line said they were open for walk in, but they would not accept anyone without an appointment when I went in. Receptionist was rude and dismissive and entirely non apologetic about the issue, saying "our number is private". Absolute joke of a clinic that should fire all staff and start over. And looking at other reviews, I am not the first to face this issue! They are making disabled people travel across town in Winter for nothing! Absolutely disgusting!

Waited close to 30 minutes what seemed to be the reception. The people on the other side did not want to engage. When saying excuses me after standing there for 30 minutes to 3 ladies they just walked a way. I have never felt like a ghost as much as that place. Maybe there over worked.

First thing first. I will like to express my sincere appreciation for all those in the health sector doing a good job and making our life better. My experience when I visited this clinic was disappointing. The only thing that is true about this clinic is the name. Every other information and service were complete false. We called their online phone number to enquire if we can make appointment on phone, online or in the person. We were told that is a walk in clinic that require us to come in person and they start attending to patient from 4:00pm to 8:00PM. After spending the whole of my day planning my visit. I finally visited the clinic at approximate 3:40pm, the lady that attending to me said that the clinic closes by 4:00pm and they stop receiving patient for that day. I was confused; I told her that I was giving a different time frame when I called in early. She simply implied that I was lying. After going back and forth with her, she finally said she’s going to check and get back to me. Between the time I was waiting for her, other patients that witnessed our discussion practically told me that “welcome to their world” meaning I should not expect any thing more. I waited over 30 minutes before another lady approached me and said if she can help me. I told her that yes, I will like to see a doctor and that one of her colleague told me to wait. Immediately the first lady arrived back, she addressed me like she’s seeing me for the first time. I told her that she asked me to wait. She denied it initially but after accepting it, she said theirs’s nothing she can do by this time. I told her that she could have told me this earlier instead of allowing me to wait for over 30 minutes. She responded by saying she’s telling me now, she walkway from me, and she started laughing as she walked away. I was disappointed and requested to see the manager, supervisor or anybody but I was told by the second lady that i talked to earlier that I cannot see anybody.

With the shortage in medical care, these businesses treat you with no respect. Not only they keep you in lines, they make you register in person, then leave and come back. Not only that, if you have a follow up, they make you repeat the process. Guess what? After you wait for hours the doctor see you for 2-3 minutes. Seriously, what is going on with the health system?

Had an appointment at 10am. Arrived at 9:40 and signed in, I was told that doctor had not arrived yet but was assured he would be on his way, 11:00 comes around and I still have not seen the doctor because he has not shown up to his own clinic to see his patients that he made appointments with. Also disgusting. This place is horrendous and they do not treat their patients with any type of respect or dignity. They can’t even be bothered to show up for their appointments.

I hardly ever write any reviews online but the service I received here from the staff on 14th July 2022 was worse than terrible and I couldn’t resist the urge to express my displeasure in a public domain even if no action would be done. I travel around the world a lot and I can humbly say these guys, except for doctor Fahim, are the rudest and most unprofessional health care workers I have met. I took my mum to this clinic for some routine check up and I understood there would be a significant wait time but what I didn’t expect was a complete lack of empathy from all the nurses/receptionists when you try to ask them any questions. I witnessed how they spoke rudely and disrespectfully to patients and when it was my turn, the guy (I couldn’t get his name but he’s a bit stout/chubby) attending to me was very rude and I told him “it would be nice if some form of customer respect was added to the service he was providing” and he immediately said he would get someone else to attend to me which I said was fine. I stood right there and he started calling other patients and I said nothing to him by summoning all the emotional intelligence within me. His female counterpart eventually came to attend to me after 5 or more minutes and I asked her if there was a manager I could formally lay a complaint to and she said there’s none. She was better than he was but she wasn’t courteous either. I understand that attending to people can be an overwhelming task but it can be done much better than the way it’s done at this clinic. I have taken time to briefly scan through other reviews after my experience and I was not surprised to see the tons of negative experiences other people have had over the years but it’s surprising nothing has been done to address such poor service. I am only giving 1-star because the doctor was nice but not only doctors make up the clinic.

I went there and had to wait 6 hrs while my turn was skipped by the receptionist to be given to patients of their like and preference (very obvious) . I asked one of the new receptionists and all I got was a very rude attitude and very unprofessional behavior. I asked for her name or worker identification # and was told to get out and lost my turn. A Black man, and a young black woman. I also noticed that they had no patience answering people's questions.

They are all very rude. We spent 3hours in line just for them to send us back home saying they will call us. Call that we never recieved!!! And this is not our first time experiencing this with this clinic. The doctor is not that useful either

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES!!! I dont even know where to begin. My girlfriend has depression issues and has been trying to manage it through psychotherapy only. She has been very overwhelmed lately and decided it might also be time to try medication as well. She went into this packed clinic on a sunday to meet with a doctor in order to get a referral to a psychiatrist who can properly evaluate her and prescribe something for the depression. She walked out in tears... They told her they don't do referrals and that if she was thinking of killing herself she should go to emergency. What the hell kind of Mickey mouse operation is this place?

Dr Michel Farim is the worst doctor you can imagine. Left the place crying in pain because hes unprofessional, unintelligent, and not remorseful. Avoid him like the plague at this clinic as he provides no alternatives or no help. Worst Appletree clinic I've been to and worst doctor I've ever encountered. AVOID. If i could give zero stars I would. Quebec Patients, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY ITS A SCAM.

Can’t believe that they would charge a 17 year old $30 for a doctor to write a five word note to enable her to join a weight loss program. If she had asked for a prescription for diet pills, I’m sure it would have been free. We should be encouraging teens to learn about healthy eating and it shouldn't cost them more than 2 hours of their student wages!

Go in at 10:30 a.m. this morning, website says 1 hr. Waited to self register at 12:00 p.m., told 2-2.5 hours. Fast track 1:45 p.m. and told 12 others ahead of me, it would be another couple of hours. Went online discovered 12 hours. You have time to die before you are seen, here, at a hospital, and if a family doctor wants to drop you for whatever reason they can. Health care is no longer a basic right in this country.

Lots of people complain about showing up and being told regusterayion is closed. Doctors close registration when they already have enough patients during registration to fill their time until closing so they can go home to their families after work. There are no receptionists, so anytime anyone complains about a receptionist, they are complaining about a nurse who was called away from an important task to deal with incompetency. All information about doctors, closing and opening times, and wether they are talking walk ins is posted online on the appletree wait times website. If you come in without checking it, that’s your own fault. The hours vary all across the locations and days based on the doctor that is in each day. It’s a walk in clinic so don’t expect fast times. The doctors usually spend about ten minutes with each patient or more and get many patients each day so the wait times WILLbe long, but you can register ahead of time through your phone or computer and they will text you to come in when there’s only a few people ahead of you so you don’t have to wait in the clinic. Most of the patients are just incompetent. I got all of this info online and every experience I’ve had here has been quick and efficient and the staff are lovely and professional

Waited over an hour, to then see the doctor who took 1 minute to assess me. He was impolite and unhelpful. People who work in healthcare should have to actually care about patience, and not be doing it for paycheque

received a text saying and I quote "we are now ready to see you" when in fact this meant to wait some more in lobby for 40 mins and then 30 more in the examining room. In this room, there were drops of blood on floor. people who had registered later were done ahead of me when all I needed was a simple prescription renewal.

I went there today. I have a very strong, sharp pain in my back. I wasn’t sure if is a muscle or an organ. I didn’t hurt myself. And that’s why I looked for medical attention. But The Dr there barely saw me and prescribed over the counter stuff Advil, naproxen, right away.. and said if you feel bad in two days go to your doctor. Why to bother to see a “Doctor” in these clinics? When their favorite word is acetaminophen, Advil, and Tylenol, every time you go there.. That’s all they know and prescribed. I should just ask my husband who didn’t study medicine but gives better advices.. lol

Appletree called me for an appointment, which I missed the call. But I called them back after and the receptionist hang up on my phone call after asking me my name and date of birth (before she could tell me the schedule of the appointment). I called her back, but she intentionally keeps hanging up on my phone calls.

Dr.Fahim charged my wife and I $50.00 each for a fit to fly certificate. Then I needed the date changed and he charged me $50.00 again! This was 2 years ago and I still remember that terrible experience. He was also visibly angry at me for having to write a quick note again. This was at the apex of the virus, yet he didn't show any empathy. Maybe he just had a bad day.

My friend had a really bad experience with this clinic. He went for a yearly check up. The doctor yelled at the nurse because he reported three medical health concerns and she took note of all of them. The doctor instructed the nurse that patient should only report one medical issue and come back two other days for his remaining health issues. It is very sad and frustrating that a clinic is thinking of profit instead of patient well being!! I wouldn't recommend ANYBODY to visit this clinic!

If we don't have OHIP and just moved from other province we should avoid going to Appletree, as they charged Doctors visiting fee ($75 Cad) but Saskatchewan govt. health coverage will reimburse according to Doctors fee in SK which is $35 Cad. We need to make sure the clinic won't charge from individuals so that we can escape private doctors high fee.

Absolutely horrible. Waited 4-1/2 hours to see the doctor. The person who registered immediately before me in the morning was in and out 1-1/2 hour before me in the afternoon. People were registering way after I did and were called before. Who knows how their system works, or if they have a system. If you can, avoid this place.

Honestly, I cannot believe this happened to me. Not only did I check in, follow instructions and patiently wait. We waited almost 1.5 hours, before my spouse went in. The clerk said approx. 30-45 more minutes and I was next. An hour goes by, we go in and they take another patient ahead of me. 2.5 hours in I called it quits, and decided to call into their supervisor. They ADMITTED that they skipped over me... Save yourself the time, and get proper care. if I could give this -5 stars, I would.

I left this place crying and considering the way I was feeling, my blood pressure went up and my heart racing. If someone said they not feeling well. You supposed to listen and be sympathetic. It felt like I went to go beg for a sick leave when people use the same thing to get a month off work on stress leave. I felt talked down to and disrespected and no one should feel that way. One of the girls very nice other one attitude over the roof. Never going there again.

Absolutely horrendous Plantar Wart Clinic. The 'Dr' on call literally hacked into my daughter's toe till she wa screaming in pain. A plantar wart treatment is not suppossed to be this painful, and if i is, it requires aenesthetic, I'm pretty sure. After that she was just unprofessional and horribly rude and almost refused to finish the treatment. I am just horrified by how bad the treatment was and how terribly behaved they all were. Shudder - no thank you. I will NOT be returning. EVER.

Tried to book a virtual appointment today, but nothing was available. Also couldn’t “walk-in” as many locations were stating “appointments only” on their website. You can’t book an appointment unless you’ve seen one of their doctors before. So technically these are not walk-in clinics!

2116 Montreal road location: Their website said open on Monday Sept 19, registration starts at 8:30am. I get there, wait in my car until 8:15am then go wait in line. On the door there's a sign and it says MONDAY - CLOSED. ***the hours of operation on the website are hardly ever accurate*** I proceed to go on the website again, this time looking at 1595 Merivale location. It says registration begins at 8:30am. I get there around 9am. There's a line of about 6 people ahead of me, all waiting to register but the computer won't allow you to register, it says appointment only. I buzz to see the receptionist, she comes out saying "I'm sorry there will be no doctor today, it's appointments only". 🙁 I guess only virtual care gurantees an appointment these days!

I went there bc I had spots all over my legs. The doctor took one look at me and told my I had an allergic reaction bc I told him I used a new chlorine product. My legs just got worst and worst. Went to my doctor on Monday for an emergency walk in and he looked at me torched my legs to make sure it was what it was and I was rushed to the hospital bc it wasn’t an allergic reaction. Needless to say the doctor at apple tree clinic don’t care and just want to get as many out as fast as possible.

Tried to book my first telemedicine appointment via webcam today. Booked at 2:16pm with confirmation email, and appt was for 2:35 with Dr.Fahim. The site kept glitching, wouldn't have an option to scroll down to see "next page" button, erased all my data - so I filled out my patient information as quick as possible. Sat on webcam from 2:30-3:00pm and it kept saying a message about how unexpected delays for the practitioner, they should be on soon. 3pm I called after half an hour wasted, and found out that he decided to end his day, for whatever reason "skipped over me" was what she said. How unprofessional, blatant disregard for patients seeking help. My phone number and email were already in their system and I couldn't get a courtesy call that they were cancelling? This is why people don't like Appletree clinics. Horrible website, inconsiderate doctors, no communication whatsover.

I'd give Apple tree no stars at all if I could. My son who has ASD was referred to a family doctor at Appletree by a CHEO doctor. Only because they said they were accepting new patients. My referral was faxed 2 times and well Appletree still say they didn't get it. This has been going since MARCH!! Il be looking elsewere for a family doctor. and the whole thing of the call centers sucks. they should have direct contact numbers to their clinics.

Website clearly states that UHIP is accepted. I tried to book and they still wanted to charge me 50$ and I said that I read that the fee should be 15$ for UHIP holders. After the lady on the phone asked the manager, they told me that the website does not state that and she doesnt know where I got the 15$ fee information. They didnt even ask me to send them the picture for them to explain to me in case i misunderstood.

How they remain open is beyond me. They turn out patients like a puppy mill. After waiting over 3 hours for what I had been told that the wait time was 25 minutes I saw the doctor for less than 2 minutes. The receptionist doubles as assistant taking patient histories and blood pressures, she can be away from the desk for 20 minutes at a time. I timed it! The video that shows at intervals is so old that it features an interview held before the vaccine was even available! He did not even offer any help. I explained that it was simply a kidney infection just like I had experienced before. An antibiotic resolves the problem but he wouldn't even listen. On top of that he does eye exams being an opthomalogist in the midst of this chaos and he's the only doctor on staff! I could go on and on! Makes me appreciate my doctor that much more so that I don't have to count on doctors like that

On October 5, I was scheduled for an appointment with Matt Hardy for orthotics assessment for today (October 6) at 9:45 am. The location was 2116 Montreal Road clinic. I drove there this morning to find the doors of the clinic locked. There were other people waiting there also. Even a Life Labs representative arrived with a delivery. I phoned the Appletree general telephone number and after a wait, was told that clinic is closed for the rest of the week. Why was I not advised of this yesterday before they scheduled my appointment? Why were there no signs on the door advising of the closure? Fortunately. I was rescheduled for another appointment at 2948 Baseline on November 7. B.F McLeod
