My doctor here is amazing, so this review is in no way a complaint towards him. The staff here though, they have to be the absolute laziest pieces of work I've ever seen. You can call all day, all night for weeks on end and NO ONE will EVER answer you and no one will ever even return a phone call, even if you've left messages several times. The ONLY way to EVER get service from this clinic is if you walk in and request an appointment. Extremely unfortunate. I feel so sorry for the elderly patients who have to experience this. I'm 30 years old but have exteme neuropathy and numbness which makes it very difficult to balance and get around, yet I find myself having to constantly come into this clinic in person due to the absolute lack of respect for patients by the staff at this clinic. EDIT: After reading all of the other reviews, it seems that this has been happening to MANY other patients for well over a year and management has replied that they will address this issue and still haven't. Due to this, as much as I do love my doctor, I will be seeking a new family doctor elsewhere as soon as I find one who is accepting new patients. I feel extremely sad for all the doctors who are losing patients and hope whoever runs this place ends up bankrupt for not replacing the entire literal useless staff that works here after all these obvious complaints. It's beyond obvious that the receptionists do not care whatsoever about the patients here.

Guys, never ever go this place. The receptionist was extremely rude. If the management wants to know who she was, she was the one on duty at 13:30 PM on Friday, May 06. Company should fire her immediately because they are not offering this service for free to the citizens. Go anywhere else but not absolutely not here.

This is not a walk-in clinic! Don't bother trying. Although both their website and their front doors post 'walk-in clinic' times, I tried to visit on three different days over a two-week period, arriving at 9:00 a.m. (posted as opening hours) and each time I was told the walk-in clinic was closed for the day. No notifications on the website, no reasons given.

doesn't do walk-ins anymore. They don't answer there phones ever. Noticed them just ignoring phone calls when I was in the waiting room so I'm not surprised. when going to the walk-in I went with tumors in my neck. Then the doctor that I had seen went on a 2 month vacation. after that 2 months he finally said go to emerge. the tumors got 10 times bigger and in that time it had possibly spread to my brain. amazing time to take 2 months off... maybe just give someone a different doctor when patient comes to you with possible life treating situations... and I should of been referred to go to the ER to begin with...The doctor had no clue what he was doing without going through his assistant with every little detail... his assistant was the only reason I went to the ER.. stay far away if you value your health.

Tried getting in here twice this week. How can you call it a walk-in clinic if you're only seeing patients who have drs at the clinic? Go on Wednesday told to come back Friday or Saturday. Go on Friday told not seeing external patients and to come back Saturday. To even have a chance you have to line up at 7:30am (they don't even open till 9). Ontario's health care system is broken and this clinic is proof.

Hopefully, I can change my rating but right now no. Their website and Google says they aren't open until 9 AM, so I just went and arrived at 9 AM, only to find out they were at capacity already for walk-in! Shockingly, I asked how they were full already with only 3 people there. The receptionist, who was very polite, said the registration for walk-in started at 7:45! Well, coming from Orlรฉans it would have been nice if their website and/or Google mentions this. I took the day off to go and it's very frustrating to drive there and find this out.

I am a new patient here and they NEVER pick up there phones ever. Making an appointment is impossible. First doctor I have had to literally go into the office to make an appointment. Where is our health care system going? They know we need them more then they need us and this is the type of care were getting because of it

Would give 0 stars if I could. Unprofessional, incompetent, and lazy is what I have to give this clinic. They always tell you their walk in is not accepting new patients, then they tell you to come the next day and that they will be open for walk ins then. You try calling multiple times a day throughout the day, no body ever answers. You waste your time and gas going there constantly. No doctors are available for family doctors so you canโ€™t even register with them. Also, I even called while standing in the call centre no phones even ring at all. Complete waste of time. I get people are stressed out because of Covid, but telling me 25 patients is all you can take for the day for walk ins when there wasnโ€™t even 20 patients in the building is completely ridiculous.

The receptionist here is Horrible! I always try to call from home to book an appointment and no one ever answers the phone. I showed up for the walk in clinic and decided to call the clinic while I was sitting in the waiting room to see if the reception who WAS sitting at the desk would pick up the phoneโ€ฆ I called twice and witnessed her ignore both the calls I made and now I know they donโ€™t care at all and intentionally ignore any calls.

If I could give a 0 star I would. My daughter hasn't been seen since she was 6 months old (she was a preemie aswell) we have been calling, leaving messages, and getting nothing back. We had to have our pharmacy fax them to get a prescription because we could not get through ( this has happen multiple times, with the pharmacist leaving a note for them) We just recently got through to them and they told us they were booking into January, keeping in mind my child is now behind in shot, her being preemie and RSV being so bad this year we thought that date was a bit ridiculous, but we took it. We received a phone called from them saying there was a cancelation for 230, we jumped on it. Headed down, when we stopped for gas we called to just remind them we were coming just to be told they apparently double booked and there was nothing they could do. After a very upsetting conversation they lady hung up on us before we could even rebook an appointment. I called back and spoke to someone a lot more kind was able to book for the following week, but she refused to give me the name of the woman that hung up on us. Regardless you work at a pediatrician office, it is EXTREMELY unprofessional to hung up on a concerned parent trying to make an appointment for their child that's over due for vaccines. The only reason my child is going here is because she wasn't allowed to be discharged without a family doctor AND a pediatrician, and Dr.Farhadi was one of the doctors for my daughter in the NICU, I wish I knew a number to report her. This place needs a new staff and some organization skills.

I had a really great experience! I used the walk in clinic and then was able to have a follow up appointment quickly after. The staff were really great and used effective communication the whole time. I have recommended it three times to friends and family since my experience.

Iโ€™ve called repeatedly over a large period of time to get a refill for my sonโ€™s medication no answer & no email address to email how are we supposed to get through?! I understand that most businesses are understaffed (I also donโ€™t understand why, people go back to work!) but the rest of us who are working and trying to run a household are left with no support and no way to get what we need for our kids. Angry and frustrated.

I was just brought on as a new patient and I have never experienced what I have experienced with this doctors office. They never and I mean never answer the phone. Minimum 3 days before they return a call. And currently my new doctor who just brought on new patients has a 2 month waiting list for appointments.

I was referred here by Telehealth Ontario for a suspected fracture. I checked the website, which said the walk-in clinic was open 9am-8pm. Showed up at 2:30 and was told that the clinic only accepts walk-ins for their own patients on Thursdays. When I asked why it didn't say anything like that on their website, the receptionist told me it was the girl who runs the website's fault and that I should come back tomorrow, despite there being only a handful of patients waiting for care with 5 +hours left of "walk-in" hours. I wish I'd gone somewhere else, because I can't come back tomorrow and all other nearby clinics close at 4pm. Save yourself the trouble and find a better option the first time.

Dr. Farhadi is awesome. Kind but firm. The office can be a bit difficult to reach but this is what I expect when I contact all other healthcare offices. The staff is nice. The place is clean. Waiting time is sometime long but it depends on the patients ahead of us. I completely understand.

Hours are wrong. They open at 8am and I literally just called to ask about the walk in and was told 20 mins after opening that they were already at capacity. This place is known for lying about their hours and ALWAYS being at full capacity, even right at opening. Very upsetting considering my family doctor is at this location.

I had been a patient here for years. My doctor is leaving and they told me that once he does I cannot even come in for walk-ins before they find new doctors. Leaving patient high and dry with ongoing medical problems. Shame on them.

Just went to the walkin clinic on Thursday at 4:45pm (open until 7pm as per the online hours) and was told they aren't seeing walkin patients until Saturday. Not sure how this makes any sense when they're open on Thursday and Friday, and their website states, "trainyards medical centre welcomes all Ottawa walk-in clinic patients...our walk-in clinic is open to everyone". I also asked to get set up with a family doctor, so I could book an appointment and the receptionist said the family doctors aren't taking on any new patients. Guess I have to go to the hospital now. Don't waste your time-avoid this clinic!!

My family doctor is at this clinic. I have no complaints about my doctor, but I do about the staff at this clinic. I have tried to call the clinic for 4 days in a row, multiple calls per day, to speak to my doctor and have a prescription written and they never answer the phone. I left a voicemail on day 1 that was never responded to. When they did finally answer the phone today (my 4th call of the day), I got a really bad attitude from the person who picked up. They misinterpreted what I was asking for and then interrupted me mid-sentence when I tried to clarify, with an exacerbated voice. They also abruptly hung up on me while I was thanking them for their help at the end of the call. If there was an email address that I could contact for this clinic to arrange an appointment, so I don't have to burden them with phone calls, I would do that, but it seems like they don't have one. If the state of Ottawa's health system wasn't so awful and I could easily find a new clinic to move to, I would. EDIT: of course the owner responds with the same copy-paste response they give every other review, that they'll address the complaint with staff. But based on other reviews going back months, a lot of other people have the same problems.

My one star review is for the admin staff who literally *never* pick up. I'm not exaggerating when i say NEVER. On multiple occasions this entire past year I've tried to call to book an appointment for my 5 year old and not once has someone picked up. I'm talking 10-20 attempts spread over many days in a row. Our pediatrician is amazing when we are actually able to come in and see them. Clearly this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. I see other reviews saying the same thing.

Nobody ever picks up, especially the pediatric clinic, rather all calls lead to a lengthy voicemail. Been trying to call for a month now to confirm appointment and book for my infants vaccine/check-up appointments. They have stopped calling back as well.Seems like only option left is to drive to their office to book and confirm.

Called 25 times specifically today. No answer. Iโ€™ve been calling all week no answer. What is reception doing? Because clearly the phones must be unplugged or theyโ€™re wearing ear plugs. I have NEVER not been able to get through to a doctors office for this long.

We have both a family doctor and pediatrician through this clinic, both are wonderful, responsive to our needs, and respectful of appointment times. Serious considerations should be provided into the administration of these clinics. Implementing an online booking system would be helpful to alleviate the support staff that are likely dealing with backlog/call overloads. It would also enable people to get a sense of wait times, or to place their names on wait lists for walk in apts.

Phone line is unusable. Either it's a "fast busy" signal or an automated system where leaving a message is not recommended because you will not get a call back. To make or reschedule an appointment, you have to go in person, like in the era before telephones. There's no email either to contact the clinic. Both issues are frustratingly inconvenient.

I called on Friday November 11 at 9h15 am. Very very bad customer service. I called and they did not talk on the phone, I was hearing other worker doing stuff. Then they hang up on me. I tried to call back 10 times and I was rejected to the voicemail 10 times.

Dr. Farhadi can never see my son when he is sick. She is only available for routine shots scheduled months in advance. Even with a negative covid test, the best option I was offered was a phone appointment a MONTH away. When she is away, no other doctors of the clinic cover her patients. This pediatric clinic is the biggest sham of a doctorโ€™s office, they should not be allowed to operate this way.

Ive been a patient at this clinic my whole life and yes while it is a pain to get someone to answer the phone and the wait times can be a bit excessive - you have to consider that it is an extremely busy location. If one person shows up late for their appointment or the appointment lasts a bit longer it can throw off the whole day. Overall its a great location, the only bad thing I have to say is that some doctors have really odd availability and its hard to work around it but thats about it.

Staff are not informed nor very helpful. Expect double the wait time than they tell you. This is based on two visits. Information provided over the phone will not match the information you will receive in person. Going to emergency and waiting is a better alternative to this establishment.

Putting up a paper sign that says "we are closed for 2 days" is not a way to advertise that you are unavailable for a walk in clinic. Learn how to use technology. Sure the staff were polite about it, but this is unacceptable

The is really Non sense , I called them to ask for podiatrist for my daughter when she was just 3 week Old. At the time they were not accepting new patients but i got listed in the wait list. I got call from them after 3 month and said we are accepting new patients but only less than 2 month old babies. I said my baby is 3 month old now still looking for podiatrist. They said , no they can not accept my baby because she is now 3 month old. ๐Ÿฅบ what kind of system is this

Dr Farhadiโ€™s office doesnโ€™t pick up phone for appointment booking and questions. Also Dr Farhadi cancels appointments a day ahead of the appointment, left kids hanging with no help. No backup doctor at the Pediatrician office to take over appointment. Really mad about this office.

  • 2/5 Sarah M. 2 years ago on Google
Short version: If you want to book appointments conveniently or within a reasonable time frame- go elsewhere. Long version: I became a patient of Dr. Maaloufโ€™s early this year, and have had a good experience with him as a doctor. He is efficient, but listens and has a good sense of humour. This review is not about him as a doctor. However the clinic itself is very challenging to work with. No one answers the phone, and you cannot book online. Every time I need to schedule an appointment, I have to call 10-15 times over multiple days before I get through. Alternatively you can leave a message and you will get a call back around a week later - but if you are at work and miss the call then you are right back to square one. As someone with chronic health concerns, this is a nightmare to deal with and is not the kind of support patients deserve from a family doctors office. I will likely begin to look for a new doctor simply because of the clinic challenges.
