Had a very bad experience at d clinic today ..The receptionist was so bad.. she was not even allowing us to talk.as soon as we went there she was saying no no no...such a rude behaviour is not expected from a clinic like this..management should see to it that atleast people who can behave well should b kept at the reception..I hve also seen many others also who made the Same review..but it is very well understood dt d management has not taken any actions for this..Will never return to this clinic ever.

Extremely unprofessional, and you'll wait for literally hours just to get a prescription re filled. They dont do over the phone appointments, and in person appointments are for follow ups only.. so you have to walk in and register before waiting. They tell you to come back at certain time but it's not an appointment.. just the time from which your waiting will begin.. I've been waiting for 2 hours outside in the rain for something that could have been over the phone..refilling a prescription that I've been taking for 6 years shouldn't have to be in person at this rate. I would find another place but there.is nothing else in this city..

Why can't I reach my doctor? I like my doctor a great deal, she is a wonderful doctor but I can't reach her. The phone keeps on ringing and ringing, they don't even set up the voicemail anymore. I need help but can't reach my doctor, which is Dr. Amer. What is wrong with this clinic they send out the wrong requisition and I don't even need one, I had already that the xray. The clinic use to be efficient but there's been a big change in the service being received or not received. I'm sorely disappointed.

Been calling this place for quite a while now. I donโ€™t know if the receptionist even knows how to answer their phone. They should include โ€œphone etiquette and professionalismโ€ as part of training for their employees.

There is no better Doctor than Dr Amal Amer. I feel my husband and I have won one of the most important lotteries in life. Caring, knowledgeable and extremely gifted. Love the staff too. Polite, and helpfulโ€ฆ What a rare practice .

Walk-in clinic books up immediately and only accepts those who show up in person. Called prior to and at 9 AM (opening time) and got sent to voice-mail (which was full) - when I eventually did get thru to reception I asked about walk ins and was immediately hung up on with no response.

Really depends on who you get as both a receptionist and doctor. I loved the first receptionist I got. She was super friendly and had a positive attitude. When it came to the doctor, it seemed like she hated her job. Going into a walk-in you should be greeted a little better, especially since we don't want to be there in the first place. I had to go in a second time because I had not heard back from them, and reviews said they were bad with responding to calls. The second time I went back, the receptionist (different than the first one) was a bit rude. Overall, wouldn't recommend this location. Didn't feel welcomed at all.

Horrible place. Get there at 9am to book an appointment for the same day. Arrive at your appointment time only to wait 1-2hr before seeing the doctor. Interestingly, all those who also booked appointments had to wait 2hr passed their scheduled appt times while the clinic passed people who werenโ€™t even there at 9am to register for an appointment. One mother with a young infant was first in line and waited 2 hours, frustratingly, with her screaming child before even being allowed to enter the triage area. Abysmal experience with no concern for peoplesโ€™ time. I donโ€™t see why the doctor would be so behind other than the fact that they were passing people who the staff, presumably, personally knew considering that they were communicating in their native tongue. Healthcare isnโ€™t free; we pay for it with our taxes. Donโ€™t let your ohip pay this clinic for services - go somewhere else.

PLEASE never go there. The worst walkin clinic I seen in my whole life .long story ,however I am just focusing on 2 issues now though I experienced many issues during my visits there. 1- very rude receptionists. 2-Gave my modified duty form to be filled by the Doctor and was promised that it will be filled in a day and someone of the clinic team should call me to let me know once it is filled however more than 8 days passed and no body phoned me.had a visit yesterday and asked the receptionist if she knows if the form is filled ,she mentioned that she has no idea and advised to ask the Dr .Because I had hard time yesterday during my last visit ,I forgot to ask the Dr however i am assuming if it was filled so the Dr should tell.

Something really needs to be done about the one receptionist. Always rude, angry and yelling at patients that are asking questions. Is this really someone you want representing your medical clinic? Is there no one else out there that wants a receptionist job and wont treat patients like garbage? Patients are not there by choice and asking questions for fun - they are there because they have to be there and many are worried and concerned about their health, then to have to talk to someone like that is like a kick in the face. Doctors are OK in general.

Doctor Amer is a great Doctor who has helped me many times with various issues. She's always extremely busy but gives every patient the care they need. The reception however needs some help. I can't make an appointment with my doctor unless I show up in person, which kind of defeats the purpose because then I could just do a walk-in then and there. The receptionist never returns messages to book an appointment. This has been going on since 2018. The message they leave on the phone says it will take them 24-48 hours to return a call for an appointment, which is fine. I wait a week at a time and never receive any call back. So I have to show up in person. I've brought this up to the receptionist before and she apologizes and explains that sometimes they have to turn the phone off because it doesn't stop and that they get to it when they can. Needs to be fixed.

Came in at 10 am and they told me to wait 4 hours and to see if maybe they could see me. That literally means an emergency room is a better first option. Whoever organized this walk in clinic is clearly incompetent.

Dr. Amer is lovely and I was very pleased with the care I received from her - competent, compassionate and thorough. But the reception needs some work. Extremely rude receptionist who clearly doesn't want to be there to the point of contempt for the clinic's clientele.

Contacted both Walmart and JN Health over false advertising. At the time of writing, this is NOT a walk-in clinic, and neither organization cares to correct this while using the "Family Practice" label as a cover to excuse themselves. I realize there are doctor shortages, but there's no shortage of administration across "the system", so the fact that this shows up as a "walk in" clinic to this day is insulting and absurd.

This clinic must be one of the worst in Ottawa. I went there on Monday, August 21 and there was a sign on the door indicating NO walk-ins until August 22. I waited until August 29 and went back. There was another sign on the door indicating NO walk-ins until September 5. Why don't they update their website so we do not waste our time going there? The reason: they are incompetent.

I have never seen a customer service so bad. I asked for walk-in clinic and the receptionist was not friendly and nice. She said with bad mood it was full simply and not said anything else to help me to have an appointment. Unfortunately, I don't recommend anyway for walk-in clinic.

The Dr is fine, but the receptionist is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. I have been on a couple of visits and I have witnessed her berate and insult multiple clients, including myself. She even took it upon herself to give me medical advice, which was inaccurate. Unacceptable

Dr Amal Amer really deserves the word doctor. She deals with everyone with alot of respect and honesty. She deeply cares. It is not very common in these days to find listeners like her, she listens well to the patients feels them, understands them well and comes up with appropriate treatment in no time. I really trust for my most beloved. Plus The clinic is lucky to hire a professional and helping receptionist like REEM

Dr. Amer was expedient and efficient in diagnosis and prescription for an acute issue that would have eventually resulted in an emergency room visit otherwise. Thank you to her and her team. DISCLAIMER: I did arrive 1 hour before opening hours in order to maximize my chances of being seen. There is incredible demand on walk-ins and they are totally slammed.

They forget to mention the clinical reason on the requisition form in Jan and trying to reach the clinic since Feb but have not responded yet.

We moved from GTA to Ottawa in 2018 and consider ourselves lucky to be associated with Dr Amal Amr and Quality Medical, Walmart located at Baseline. I'm impressed with the courtesy and speedy care provided at this clinic. I have high regards for Dr Amal Amr who's a true professional. Her knowledge, quick understanding of patient's health issues, overall command of subject and attitude are outstanding.

Appointment was for 11:00 am and arrived at 10:30 hoping I could be seen a little early as it was empty. People started coming in to reception and went in before me. Itโ€™s is now 11:55 as Iโ€™m writing the review still waiting for the doctor. Reception was rude and made me take my shoes off, which was okay as they were wet and snowy, but did not provide any foot coverings. To make things worse my socks got wet and the floor is covered with dirt and mud. I am now waiting in the examination room which smells like cigarettes very strongly. Itโ€™s been ten minutes... Overall not the greatest experience due to rude receptionist

Get rid of the incompetent receptionists, excuse my language but to be specific, the heavier, Caucasian middle aged women with the bob, told me I have better luck with the Emergancy room then my appointment with Dr Amal (my family dr). Iโ€™ve called, emailed, and ended up at the ER anyway because my condition got so bad that I could not wait. 100% of the time spent at this clinic has ended negatively for me.

Arrived 10 minutes before they opened, at 9am. I was the first to register and was told the doctor wasn't in until 1030am. Okay no problem, waited until 11am for the doctor to arrive. Then they proceeded to take patients who registered after me. I finally got in to see the doctor, (all I needed was for them to look in my ear and write a prescription), took 3 minutes to assess me. I didn't get out of there until 1pm. I will never go back there again. Too much chitter chatter to get any work done in a reasonable time.

I used to work there, so, I want to explain a bit about what goes on behind the scenes. The doctor was chronically late. I felt so bad for the patients waiting as a lot of the time they were at the door exactly at opening. There is only one doctor working at the clinic who sees patients. There is another doctor who is an internal medicine doctor, so he only sees booked appts (patients need referrals to see him). With only one doctor doing walkins, they can only see one patient every 15 mins. So, if the clinic opens at 9 and they close for lunch, that's only 12 patients; same goes for the afternoon. A lot of the time, Dr. Amer is overbooked: doubling and sometimes tripling her patient load. When I used to work there, it was only myself and the doctor. I had to be at reception to check patients in, answer phones, give injections, room patients and take their vitals as well as order stock and clean the clinic and scan any reports that come in for the patients. It is a crazy, hectic job. There needs to be more doctors at the clinic in my opinion as well as staff. I used to have signs up stating that the doctor has a family practice AND sees walk-ins as time permits in her schedule but everytime I wasn't there, the sign was removed. When the sign was up, I felt the patients understood, however, with the signs down and the front staff not communicating with the public, I understand where their frustration comes from. Hope they see this and try to make improvements.

Staff is nice and doctor Amar cares about you! Only thing is that sometimes I really need to see the doctor so I'm trying to call all day but it doesn't even ring. Just goes into voicemail. That means I have to walk over there to book an appointment... Why have a receptionist when then don't leave the phone on? I wouldn't mind being put on hold... Just want to reach them.

You call them, it gives you 3 options and none of them actually include talking to somebody on the phone. You press 0 says it will transfer you to an operator and it just transfers you to the beginning of the call asking you to select those 3 options again.
